Hello! I'm newly pregnant with my 3rd baby. The first two ended in miscarriage due to blighted ovums. My doctor recommended we try progesterone treatments, as it's shown to help prevent the blighting problem. So we did! This is our first pregnancy since the treatments. We'll see how the story ends.

01/02/08 - Well, went to the ob today to hear the heartbeat, couldn't find it. After 20 mins, the dr gave up. Of course I immediately had tears in my eyes, thinking "please don't make me go through this again". He sent me for an ultrasound and told me if they send me back to him, something is wrong, if not, he'd see me in 4 weeks. We get to the ultrasound room, and no sooner than she had that wand on my belly, you could see that little jumping bean all over the screen! lol One minute it's head was on one side of the monitor, then next he had flopped over! lol It was so exciting to see. She came to the conclusion that our baby is going to by hyper, like it's daddy. Looks like my progesterone treatments worked! Yay!!!

01/09/08 - I just had my nuchal scan done. According to the scan, the chances of our little jumping bean having DS is 1 in 13000! But of course the bloodwork is more accurate, so I'll get that back hopefully on Monday. There was a new tech at the office that just started yesterday, so she was "practicing" on the ultrasound machine. I got to see my baby again! We got a good pic of it sucking it's thumb, both hands, both legs & feet. We won't find out what it is though until the end of Feb! I go back on 01/30 to try to hear the heartbeat again.

01/24/08 - We went to tour the labor & delivery of our hospital last night. Very impressed! They have really neat security features in place, not sure if all hospitals do this. But they use 5 hospital bracelets. One for mom, one for dad.... then one on the baby's wrist that matches mom's band, one on the baby's ankle that matches dad's band, and a GPS band. If the baby is taken beyond the security markers, the elevators shut down, the hospital doors lock, and no one can enter or leave until the baby is returned to the nursery. Awesome! The rooms were huge, and cheerful. I'm so excited!
