Hi! I am 20 yrs old and my husband is in the Coast Guard. We met when I was a freshman in High School (he was a Junior) and we dated 2 years later when I turned 16. We were married September 29, 2007 and found out beginning of December that.. SURPRISE!!! .. I was pregnant!!

The morning sickness started up almost immediately (week and a half after conception) so we figured it out pretty quickly! The day after Christmas I got sick and went to the ER where I was told I was having a miscarriage... but then went to the OB a few days later bc I hadn't actually had a miscarriage. I was THEN told it was a false pregnancy-my body was saying that I was about 6 wks pregnant but that there was no baby present. When I went in for my D&C a few days later, they did 1 final U/S and there was a baby there!

Since then I have been diagnosed with HG (ER 6 times, Hospitalized 3 times, Home Nurse, PICC line & Bed Rest)... at 20 weeks I was told AGAIN that I may be having a miscarriage bc I was having contractions.. but luckily, all is working out. Still suffering with HG (no more bed rest, just cant walk much or drive myself anywhere) but as long as my baby girl is okay.. I'll make it through with God's help!

As I said earlier I am 20 yrs old..and we haven't been married very long. I am constantly told that I am too young to be a mom and dont know what I am doing (which is partially true-I'm not quite sure what to expect at this point). However, any time people bring up my age.. I just have to remind myself of my now favorite verse 1 TIM 4:12

I am so sorry! That is so tough going through HG alone but all alone! Can you go back to stay with your folks while hes gone? Will he be gone for a long time still? You need the help...consider going to stay with them. I am here to encourage you to keep going on sweety. God Bless...

The Zophran didn't work at all for me!!! In the end I found Kytril and it helped a little. I have to say it was the hardest 9 months of my life! The 4 previous pregnancies I was sick all day everyday for about 18 weeks, then fine. So this one was a shock! It just kept going and going. The best you can do is pray and seek God for comfort! Ignore your MIL and tell her to get off your back! Has she seen you? Where are your folks? Around to help you? God Bless you hunny!

Hi I see you have difinitely been through the hell of HG and still trying to battle the curse. With the Lord you can get through these next months! I was on my knees in prayer alot. I really believe I was given mercy by the Lord. I was able to avoid the picc line because I learned how to eat all day and after weeks found one thing I could drink. My hubby was able to bring me drinks and sncks in bed all day. He was out of work. Which was so horrible that he was out of work...but it turned out to be a huge gift from god. God provided enough money to make it through the time and I knew God set up things that way. He got a job after months of looking right about the time I could start getting out of bed again to sit downstairs all day. I encourage you to pray alot and talk. No one without HG will understand. They will suggest things like unisom, ginger, saltines and other things such as that. What meds are you on right now/? You need to be on either zophran or kytril for the nausea. B-6 for the nausea and energy, possibly iron if you haven't been able to get what you need in proteins. Benadryl helps to keep you asleep through the night to have some strength to do it all again the next day! Please keep in touch and I will keep you in my prayers. I will also forward your message to my friend jewels that also has HG severe. God Bless....

I have taken Unisom with the last 2 pregnancies, and I am not a med person either. But I have 4 other children to care for. It really helps. I know (inc self) many women to have very healthy babies as a result, for whatever it's worth to ya. Doesn't make me too groggy. In fact I took one last night and if my 8 year old hadn't woken up by a dream, I'd still be snoozing. I was just a bit too hungry to go back to sleep. I take it 1st tri and it curbs nausea...now I take it 1-2 x a week to get some extra zzzzzzzzzzz s before baby gets here. Not addictive, not groggy. I know though I feel the same way-hate to take the meds.
