Hey Everyone. My name is Ciji and I've been trying to conceive my first child for 5 months now with my husband TJ. We bought a house last spring and Its just too big for the both of us. I want children so bad as do everyone else. October of 2006 I was diagnosed with Hyperthyriodism. My RE suggested if I want to have children soon to get the radioactive iodine done. So I did February 06. Then afterward they told me not to get pregnant for 6 months to a year because of the radioactive iodine. Then August 2007 they checked my TSH levels and I turned hypothyroid. Now I am taking 112mg of snthyroid. So for the past 5 month after month getting BFN's. It drives me crazy. I'm trying so hard to be patient.

Starting tomorrow me and hubby and going to be bding like crazy. I am suppose to ovulate on the 9th of November. So we are bding everyday and a day after to make sure I did miss it. I also am starting Robuttisin and OPK's. I bought some online also.

Today I am 7 DPO. When I got up this morning I was really nausauated. Earlier in the day I had some cramping and hot flashes. The earliest HPT I can take is 11/19. I would be 10 DPO. But I'm not sure if I'll test then. I'm hoping to get a BFP for my birthday/Thanksgiving. Because Thanksgiving is my birthday this year.

Today 12 DPO - I'm getting so anxious. I want to test when my period is late. Its not expected until Nov 23. So let hope I don't get it. I'll be testing November 24th.

Today 13 DPO - Got a faint BFP. I will be testing again tomorrow to make sure. HAPPY 24TH BIRTHDAY TO ME! Oh yes, Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Well got up this morning really sick. Took another test is was positive. So excited. I called my mom to tell her - I havent said anything to my husband at all. Because I want to make sure. My period didn't come either YAY!

Well called the doctor to get blood work done. I went today at 4 pm. So hopefully I will know something tomorrow or Wednesday. I just want to get confirmation from the doctor and I'll be more excited. I don't want to jinx it. If I do get a positive pg blood test I am gonna be sooo happy. I thought about how I wanted to tell my hubby. I think I'm gonna wait until Christmas to tell him with a shirt that say "I'm gonna be a daddy". If I can hold out that long lol. We shall see. Well called OB this morning to see if they have gotten my results back. They had me on hold for 5-7 mins. I was thinking in my mind oh god this isn't gonna be what I want. She came back on the line and said the test came back positive!!! I was so excited I was in my office jumping up and down. haha. She told me that my OB no longer delivers babies. So I have to find another doctor which is fine with me.

So today I was searching a doctor. I found one. My first prenatal visit in Christmas Eve. I also have to go get generic prenatal vitamins until my doctors appointment. I also called my RE for my thyroid. He told me to call once I get pregnant. So I did. He wanted me to get my TSH levels tested ASAP so I did it today after work. Hopefully they come back okay. I'm sooo excited about this. Still haven't told my hubby. He keeps bitchin about wanted kids and I want soooo badly to tell him. But I think it would be better gift to get him on Christmas Day which when you really think about it. Christmas isn't that far way. 25 more day until Christmas. Well I'll keep ya updated. Today I am 4 w 6 days.

Well according to the website I am 5w 4 days. Today was my doctors apt with my RE doctor. He said my TSH levels are almost normal. So he up'd my dosage of my medication. As for how I'm feeling: I'm doing good. Some days are better than most. I get really sick in the morning so bad that I can eat nothing. Other days I can get up and eat breakfast no problems. But Friday I will be 6 weeks pregnant. My hubby still doesn't know yet. I'm still holdin out. I have 20 more days until Christmas is here and he can finally know. Hi Everyone. Today I am 6 weeks 4 days. Only 14 more days until I get to tell him hubby that I am pregnant. Its been so hard. But I'm hangin in there. I want to buy things all ready lol. But I haven't yet. I had a lot of things given to me but its all girl things. So watch me have a boy lol. Doesn't matter to me as long as the baby is healthy. Well I just look at the messages everyone left me and they are gone. That sucks. That guy didn't backup the messages and he deleted them. I'm pretty upset about that. Anyways, 13 more days until my first prenatal visit. I'm too excited. Oh yes morning sickness has kicked in this week. Its sucks but reminds me that I have a baby growing inside me and its all worth it :) Well I'll keep yall updated.

December 15, 2007 - The Big Day

Hi. Everyone! Well I have decided I can't hold out anymore. I'm telling my hubby that I am pregnant tomorrow before dinner. I am cooking him a big dinner. I also got the shirt that say's "I'm gonna be a daddy" with teddy bears and our names on it which I thought was cute. I can't wait to see his facial expressions - Hes been waiting for this the longest time. I'm gonna have a camera to take pictures and I'm gonna try and put them on here later on. But I wanted to let you guys know that I am telling him tomorrow. I did real good I held out for over a month. Today he was in the bathroom brushing his teeth and I ran in from the bedroom to throw up. He was like "whats wrong with you" I was like "I don't know maybe I'm getting the flu. I'm such a liar. I can't take it anymore - that is why I'm telling him I can't lie anymore. I'm digging myself a big ass hole. Well I better get going. I'll keep yall updated. Keep the messages coming. I love them!

Well yesterday in the beginning was a disaster. First of all, I stayed at my mom's house Saturday night because the snow got bad. Sunday morning my hubby and I went to finish up Christmas shopping. I'm proud to say that I am done now! Anyways on our way from Giant Eagle. My hubby car just shut off. We were the first one at the light. So TJ's like we have to push and we were on top of a hill. So we get the car moving down the hill and I jump and then he jumps in and we coast down the hill. Then we got stopped down at the bottom of the hill. So we turned and pulled over. Reminding you my lunch for him is suppose to start at 12pm - it was like 10 til 12pm. I call my sister to come get me. She was like 3 mins away. She called me back a few mins later and says "I locked my keys in the car with the car running". Im just like great. This gonna be a lovely day haha. So my mom left work to give my sister her keys. We thought it was gas so I ran up to the store and got gas. It wasn't that. I told him I was sitting in the cold and he was leaving his car. So I told him to keep trying to get it started and I'm going to get my mom's car. Told him to call if he didn't get it started. Well I called and he didn't. So I was on my way. Two seconds later he called and said he got it started and was on his way up. I guess he said he flooded it. Whatever that means. lol. But by the time we got to the my mom's house for lunch it was after 1 pm. Everyone's there and I had him the box with the t-shirt in it. He opended it up and read it. He was completely SHOCK! He just kept saying "Is this for real?" I said yes. He came over and gave me a hug and wouldn't let go. Then he was like "I need a cigarette" lol. So after that we ate the lunch that I made. Then we had a Christmas Party at this parents house. So I left my mom's house before that I made him put on the shirt. He told him parents. They were in shock. TJ's the only son and the last of their kids. He is the last one to have a baby. But all in all - It turned out great. This morning he said to me over and over again. I can't believe I'm going to be a daddy. It was great. Well I will post up the pictures of him wearing the shirt later on. I better go. Have a good day everyone!

December 25, 2007 - Christmas Day

First of all, I wanted to tell everyone Merry Christmas and Have a Happy New Year. Anyways, my first prenatal visit was Christmas Eve at 8:45am in the morning. My mom was suppose to pick me up about 8. Well TJ was up and getting breakfast. We hear this knock on the door 7:30 in the morning. I hear to voices, more than one. TJ opens the door as I was walkin down the stairs. My mom walks through and then here comes my DAD. First thing he says "I'm coming to your first appointment with you". I'm just like uhhh ok. See my mom and dad are divorced and he lives an hour away from me. So I rarely see my dad. I guess he showed up at my mom's door the night before. Anyways, he took us out to for breakfast then off to my appointment. I think my appointment went well. I only saw a nurse because the doctors/midwife was off. The nurse just went over everything. They changed my due date from 8/1 to 8/2. I go back on Jan 3rd, 08 to get a sonogram to hear a heartbeat. As for my Christmas, I think it went well. I had fun. My hubby bought me a new livingroom suite with end tables. I absolutely love it. Its so comfortable. As for me and the baby.... the morning sickness is still here but was able to eat normally on Christmas. Morning sickness it sometime worse on other days.. but boy does it remind me that I'm pregnant everyday. We went to TJ's parents for breakfast and lunch/dinner at my moms - my uncles kids came over. The house was full of kids. My uncle has 10 kids lol. No seriously he does. It was just a crazy day cookin with kids running all over the place. It was great though. Well today I am officially 10 weeks prego today. I'm so excited to have made it this far. I've been reading every baby book under the sun and I'm reading about miscarriages - I'm scared to death about them. I'm afraid its gonna happen to me. So I try not to worry so much about it. Well my first ultrasound was suppose to be yesterday at my second appt. But the midwife changed her mind until I'm 12 weeks pg. So I have to wait 2 more weeks until I get to hear the baby's heartbeat. This time I'm getting my hubby to go with me. So I made the ultrasound on his day off so he could go. He was upset that he didn't get to go to this one because he thought they were doing an ultrasound. Anyways the midwife also gave me medication to ease up on the all day sickness. But I woke up this morning fine so I didn't take any meds. I'm so glad its Friday. I can't wait to rest lol. Have a good day everyone. I'll keep ya updated. January 15, 2008 - 11 weeks and 4 days prego

Wow! Its been awhile since I've updated my page here. Well my first ultrasound is tomorrow at 8:45am in the morning. I'm sooooo nervous about it. I hope everything is okay. I mean I've been feeling okay. I have vomitted in a week and a half not to be gross or anything lol. I picked up my medicine for the nausea/vomitting the day before yesterday and I've been taking it. Its been great. No nausea at all. So I'm doing good. I just pee alot which I cant stop that lol. Anyways, I'm worried about the ultrasound because lately haven't been able to drink water. Its all Sierra Mist or Ginger ale for me. They want me to drink 32 ounces of water before 8:45am. I don't know if I'm gonna be able to do it. Plus when its colder outside it harder for me to drink water- I know that might sound idotic... but oh well. I'm gonna try tho. Last Saturday while my hubby was at work - I figured I'd lounge around watch movies and do some cleaning up. Well I went to put on my new clothes I got for my birthday in November. Man were they tight! And it looked like I had floods on. My height is 5'7 but I think I grew taller. Because when I tried them before I knew I was prego they were fine and they fit fine. Now they don't :). Oh well all the more reason to buy more clothes lol. Its all good. It was just funny. My mom walked in and was like "what the hell do you have on?" I told her my new clothes from my birthday and she laughed. But anyways, I'm gonna go have to go pay them bills! I will keep ya updated on how my ultrasound went.. hopefully good. :) See ya ladies.

January 25, 2007 - 13 weeks

Well its been awhile since I've updated my page. I wanted to tell you ladies about how my ultrasound went. Well that night I couldn't sleep because I was sooo nervous and excited. That morning I had to drink a lot of water and in the winter its harder for me to drink water because its cold outside. But anyways, my hubby takes me to the hospital. I check in.. reminding you I have to pee real bad already. So we are waiting. Like 15 mins later this elderly couple come in and hes getting ready to talk to a nurse and all the sudden we hear this loud as fart. I freakin died. My hubby and I laughed so hard. I don't think he heard himself doing it. I didn't want to be rude so I laughed quietly. Im think mann they need to hurry up and call me in. They call me 1 hour later. So they tried to ultrasound the one on the belly. She didn't see anything and I started to freak out. She's like we will have to do the other one. She told me to go empty my bladder. I was like why couldn't we just do this one in the first place. So they did the vaginal one. I saw my baby! I was soo excited. I almost cried but I had to hold it in. Heard the heartbeat it was 163 hpm. My baby was showing off, moving all fast n stuff. Then my husband saw a hand moving and he asked the nurse "was that the baby". She was like yes.. his face just was in shocked. When we walked out of there he was grinning ear to ear. He loved it. They gave us pics on a disc. We went to walmart to print them off. You should of heard him telling everyone what he saw. I must say it was the cutest thing ever. My next appointment is the 30th. I'll be 14 weeks then. But now I'm 13 weeks today. So excited. Well went to the baby doctors yesterday for my monthly check up. She used a doppler to listen to the baby's heartbeat. It was great. This time it was 160. Anyone know what the wisetales on if its a girl/boy the heartbeat is whatever. Please tell me people are telling me like 20 million different things. But things are going great. Looking forward to moving on to 14 weeks. 6 more weeks and I get to find out the gender of my baby. How exciting. I can't wait to go shopping... my friends where talking about baby showers and I was just wondering how early do you have a baby shower ya know since I'm new at this. Maybe someone can help me out with that question. I know its probably way too early to be thinking about this but oh well. I want to know :) But anyways as for how I'm doing.. I'm doin okay. February 11, 2008 - 15 w 3 days

Hey everyone! I have been on in awhile to update my page. I've just been so busy with work and so forth. Last week I felt like crap. I was always nauseated. But today I feel great. No morning sickness. I better stop - I don't want to jinx it. lol. My next baby appointment is February 27th and then I have to tell the doctor if I want to do the spina bifa testing. Then she said we will do another ultrasound where I can find out the sex of my baby. :) I am waaay to excited about finding out. I can't wait. My mom's friend knitted my baby hats for the baby. One was blue and the other was pink - she did both because she didn't know what I was having. They are soo cute. Anyways, has anyone early has anyone felt their baby move? I swear that I felt it but most people are telling me I'm crazy... my hubby says not yet - he was like between 16-22 weeks. I was like how you know. He's been reading my baby books :) Well I just wanted to keep everyone updated. Have a good day ladies and hope everyone is doing well.

February 27, 2008 - 17 wks 5 days

Well ladies how's everyone. I had my monthly baby doctors appt today. I heard the baby's heart rate again. It was 162 this time. She said my baby is very active. I love hearing my baby heart rate its soo amazing. Also, I got a date for my ultrasound to find out the gender of the baby. MARCH 12TH.... yay! 2 weeks exactly. I can't wait. I also have to get blood work done that same day for spinda bifa (really nerves about this- I hope everything comes back okay.. I am such a worry wart) and some other lung thing. I dont know. I have it written down just not with me now. Anyways, It took me so long to update because I'm sick. I have cold, high fever, congestion chest and achy muscles... so the doctor prescribe me some medicine.. She just told me to rest and it will go away soon. I sure hope so. I hate being sick. My wonderful hubby gave it to me. I told his narrow butt to stay away from when he was sick... but I had to take care of my baby. So I got what he got. Only now he doesn't have it and I do. Oh well. But my next appt to see the doctor is March 26th. Hope everyone else pregnancy is going okay.

March 10, 2008 - 19 wks 3 days

Well today finally is my ultrasound to see the baby and see if its a girl or boy... Seemed like it was taking forever to get here. But its here well almost... tomorrow at 8:15am. I can't wait. I'm gonna be drinking some caffeine so the baby can show the goodies... lol. I am so excited about see the baby... I can't wait to know the gender. Either way I'll be happy. I just wanna shop! I will be on here tomorrow tell ya guys what it is!! My hubby was very excited this morning. Also my mom is going in with us. This should be interesting.. My side of the family wants a girl.. and TJ wants a boy.... he has all nephews.. and we have all girls on our side... so its hard to tell what it is going to be.. the chinese gender predictor said I was having a boy. For both of my friends it was right... and one already had her son and the other one is due next month and she is having a boy... my other friend had a girl and it was right.. so we shall see. It doesn't matter me - I want a healthy baby! Well I'll keep ya updated ladies holla.

March 12, 2008 - 19 wks 4 days- Ultrasound Day!

Well its a BOY! Very excited about this! I would be excited either way.. I just wanted to know the sex! I can't wait to go shopping... Hope you ladies get what you want! I will be posting pictures later of my lil boy! The tech said I was measuring 21 weeks. I dont know if my doctor will change my due date or not. Hopefully not. I like it where its at now. Well I'll keep ya updated. On Saturday I'll be 20 weeks. HALFWAY THERE!!!

March 24, 2008 - 21 wks 2 days

Well Hope Everyone had a great Easter- I wish I did. I was in a car accident Easter afternoon. I was scared as that was my first accident. I wasn't driving - my hubby was. TJ, me and the baby are alright. Oh yes my duckies are okay too. I had them with me. They are only 7 days old. But the girl we hit was only 18 years old. She is the one who got cited at the accident. It was all her fault. But my car may be totalled. I just bought my new Durango 3 weeks ago and haven't even paid the first payment yet. I loved my car! But I'm glad all of us are okay. Especially the baby! I got to get another sneek peek at my lil boy.. the ER did a ultrasound and said the baby was okay. I went in there and after she told me the baby was okay. I was like "I know the sex of the baby" but can you tell me what it is? She was like I'll try... She was like ... "I see boy parts" - I was I just wanted to make sure... so it was confirmed twice. She also said the baby is 1 lbs and 2 ounces. She was like thats a big baby for the due date I gave her. She said I was measuring 1 week ahead. So my baby doctor might change the due date to July 26th. We shall see I go to my monthly appointment on Wednesday. I was happy to see my baby again. Speaking of the baby... my hubby finished painting the baby's room Easter morning. It looks great. I can't wait to put it all together. Well I better get back to work....hope everyone had a good Easter eating all that great and delicious food! I'll keep ya updated.

March 27, 2008 - 21 weeks 4 days

Well this morning I went to a specialist because my test came back from AFP. The doctor said I showed high levels for my spinda bifa test. I was scared outta my mind. So I went the did the ultrasound. The doctor came in and reviewed the ultrasound and he said everything looked great and he would 90% that the baby is fine. But the only was he would give me 100% is if I did the amino.. I was like uhh no. He was like I'm glad you made that decision. He was confident. I believe my baby will be fine. But yes, for the 3rd time Its still a boy! lol. Also had monthly appt with baby doctor. Everything was okay but she wanted me to do that Glucose testing for gestional diabetes. So I said okay. I thought it was a lil early but they might of seen sugar in my pee. I hope I don't have gd. Well I better go back to work I'll keep ya updated.

April 7, 2008 - 23 weeks 2 days

Well hows everyone. I'm doing good. Well as for my new car. Well they are totalling it. I'm sad about that. I just got it and I loved it. So they gave me book value for my car and I'm going back to get another one. As for me and the baby. I did that glucose testing last weekend. Nurse called and said my levels are 144 and the cut off was 150.. so I'm close. She wants me to do the 3 hours glucose testing to make sure. Also since I'm African American they want me to do the sickle cell testing. She was explaining all this to me and was like well we want to see if you carry the trait to see if baby will have it. But its really common in couples that are black. I was like well I'm husband is white. She was like ohhhhhh then you shouldn't have anything to worry about it. But to be sure we would like you to do the test. So I said okay. I am to do the April 19. Then I'll be exactly 25 weeks. Man is the time passing by or what.... I can't wait to hold my lil boy! I went shopping this weekend at Toys R Us again...I love it... his room is almost done. I still have to get the crib yet. But mostly everything is almost done. What themes are everyone else doing for baby's room? I'm doing Winnie the Pooh. You'll have to comment back to let me know what you all are doing for the baby's room. I better go. Well its been a lil over a month since I've updated my profile here. Everythings going okay. Except for my back pain and pelvic pain. But I'm dealin.. Its all good. It will be all worth it soon. I can't believe it.. 11 more weeks to go. I feel like I have nothing done for my baby. But when I look in his room - I got a lot of stuff for him. I can't wait to hold him. I go to my next appointment on the 14th.... then I start the every two week appointment instead of monthly. I'm starting to get nervous the closer it gets. Well I better get going. May 30, 2008 - 30 weeks 6 days

Well I thought I would get up on here and update my page because its been awhile. I'm doing good. I hope all you are doing well too. Yesterday I had to get 2 teeth pulled. It was terrible. But I'm glad its done and over with. My mouth still hurts a lil bit... but I can handle that pain. I can only eat certain things and I'm starving!!! I'm pregnant and wants some real FOOD! lol...its all good tho. This weekend I have a lot of things to do. Saturday my hubby is taking me to the drive in Portage to see Baby Mama. I wanted to see that for awhile now. I probably won't get home until 2am. Sunday I'm going back home to my hometown Mt Union to see my nanna and my dad. He's suppose to give me money for the baby... he insisted even tho I said no. My parents are like this with buying baby stuff because this is the first grandbaby on my side. Plus I haven't seen my dad since I was like 9 weeks prego and now I'm almost 31 weeks. He's gonna crap his pants when he sees me.. lol. Then after we get back from there I'm going baby shopping. I need to get the baby's mattress yet and a few other things. I also start my childbirthing classes on June 12th.. mann it seems like its coming all too fast. I also been calling around to check out daycares. I'm taking off 8 weeks of maternity leave so when the baby goes to daycare he will be 8 weeks. Plus he will only be going to daycare 3 days a week. My mom will have him one day and my hubby is off on Wednesdays...Anyways, Well I better get back to work. Hope all you ladies and doing great....keep on commenting me I love it!

June 9, 2008 - 32 weeks 2 days

Quick update: Went to specialist for a follow up.. I went back in March because my levels were high for spina bifa - they couldn't find anything and said he wanted a follow up just to make sure he didn't miss anything. Well that was today. It went well. He said the baby looks fine and that I have nothing to worry about. I am so thankful for that news. The tech also printed me out some pics of his boy parts and his face. So yes for the 5 time he is definitely a boy lol. I didn't even mention it was a boy. She told me. But g2g.

June 16, 2008 - 33 weeks 2 days

Hey ladies! I thought I should update since its been about 2 weeks since a real update. Well I've started childbirthing classes - I was a lil nervous and my husband was like don't be nervous there can't be that many pregnant people due around the same time you are. So that calmed me down a lil. I walked up into those classes and there were 30 people there. lol... It was interesting. I also won a cute pack n play...I was surprise as I never win anything!! Also my mother threw me a surprise baby shower on June 14 @ 3pm. It was nice. We played all kinds of games. I got a lot of clothes and diapers... I also got lots of money...I had fun...I can't wait to see my lil man. Although I'm starting to get scared.. .anyone ever think what if something happens to me?? I've been worrying about that lately...please don't tell me its just me. I'm just so nervous and have a low tolerance for pain. My mom keeps telling me I'll get through it and I will do it again some day... Well I better get going...have a good day ladies.

Hey everyone! How's it going? I'm doing okay. Just wanted to update ya... well on Tuesday afternoon I was having what I call period like cramps and they were getting to the point where they actually hurt. So I went home and rested up... about 9pm that night they stopped. Then my weekly appointment was July 2nd and I had to get that GBS test.... very uncomfortable with that test. But he also checked me and I am about 2cm dialated.. -3 station. Still not understanding what the -3 station means. I might had to look that up. My next appointment is July 11th. My hubby seems to think I'm gonna have the baby July 18th. But we shall see. But as for anything else - I'm having extreme back lower pain...pressure on my vagina and swollen feet. Anyone else having these symptoms??? Well Ima go. I'll holla later.....God Bless everyone
