oh ok, yeah that is not the best. i work at a cpa firm and i get pretty good benefits. tomorrow i go on leave - 4 weeks before my due date, fully paid. then assuming i have natural birth, i get 6 weeks of full pay for disability, followed by 2 weeks of full pay for parental leave. thereafter i am taking vacation of about 4 weeks...
pregnancy was going fabulously until fairly recently. lots of pain in the pelvic region which makes it hard to sit, walk, sleep anything! so this is why i am going on leave at the end of tomorrow. how is yours going?

hi - i am curious - are you an accountant at a cpa firm in the US? i actually have pretty good benefits...nothing like canada or the UK of course, but better than most.

That is the life of an accountant! I work for a CPA firm and have the same thing with maternity... WE GET NONE! So I am using my vacay to compensate...

I hear ya about the whole baby name voting. I wouldn't want to pick a name because some random people online liked it. I feel the exact opposite, I want to pick something that my husband and I love and that will be special to us. It shouldn't be a popularity contest. Perhaps it's something we learned in our 30's
