Don't let anyone go into your vagina with anything other than the probe for the sonogram machine. They need to measure your cervix and see if it's shortening and can only do that with the sonogram probe.

They should know better than to be checking you with their hands because that can make things start up, that otherwise would not. Ugh.

Praying all is ok! I don't mean to scare you, I want you to know that. I just don't ever want what happened to us to happen to someone else so when I see a post like yours that sounds so much like what I went through in the beginning I feel obligated to say something you know?

The only time I experienced that kind of pain was when I was in labor with our son that was born premature (and he didn't live very long unfortunately) and they told me it wasn't contractions either, but it was! I was in and out of labor and delivery 4 times during a week and none of them listened to my complaints. They kept saying it wasn't contractions and it was. They even told me the same thing they told you - that it was a bladder infection and even put me on antibiotics for an infection I never even had!!!

PLEASE I urge you to get to a specialist if it continues! It's not normal to have those pains, period.

I had a friend that had the exact same pain as you, very painful and not "normal" feeling. They ended up doing an exam and it turns out her amniotic fluid was low and the baby was in a weird position to try to stay in what was left of the fluid. Not sure if it is the same for you but maybe you could request an ultrasound to make sure? My friend was ordered to drink excessive amounts of water for weeks and kept having special ultrasounds, she is now in week 37 and doing fine! So, unless there is no bleeding try not to worry but I'd definitely ask about an ultrasound.... if you haven't had one already.

I have experienced that menstrual type cramping since about week 13. It's very slight and hardly noticeable, so I haven't said anything about it, but that's exactly what it feels like--menstrual cramps. Like I said, it is hardly noticeable it's so light. I hope yours gets better.
