3 weeks old!

September 2007: How I found out: Well to make a short storey long lol... My husband and I had been dating since my freshman year of high school I was only 14 and he was 16 and on Christmas of 2005 he proposed and of course I said yes!! We got married July 7th 2007 & after a little over a month of not really trying but not preventing it either.. I realised that I had missed my period for over a month! which has never happend to me befor. so I took an at home pregnancy test...& supprise! it was positive!!

October 9th 2007: My first doctors visit ( not at my normal clinic and not with my obgyn ) The nurse gave me a urine test to make sure I was pregnant (positive) they checked my iron and weight (115lbs) and tried to determine how far along I was by my last period. After conferming that I was pregnant I started taking prenatal pills and called to make an apt at my normal clinic.. they couldnt see me until december 20th thats over 2 months away!

November 2007: So I quit my job a few weeks ago because iv been feeling pretty sick & really tired latly..My husband said that was probably a good idea because when the baby gets here I would want to quit anyways and be at home with the baby. oh & by the way I don't know who decided to name it "morning sickness" because it comes whenver it wants to not just in the morning! I have been sooo tired latly and iv had no apitite at all I have to practacly force myself to eat : (

December 20th 2007: My first real doctors apt with my obgyn. The nurse checked my weight (118lbs) blood pressure, heart,lungs,ears and asked me about 200 questions about mine & my husbands medical/mental health and also about our familys. Then I got to meet my obgyn and listen to the babys heart beat for the first time...it was the sweetest sound ever! I had to record it on my cell phone : )

December 2007: I just started feeling the baby move alot..& I love it : ) i'm finally starting to feel pregnant now & the morning sickness is all gone.. I feel great!

January 22nd 2008: My 2nd obgyn visit.. I had to get a full physical & pap done ( woohoo! ) I declined my flu shot because the baby isnt going to be born around flu season and I hardly ever get sick.. besides they had a list of side effects that kinda freaked me out. I had to get my blood drawn today and I hadnt really ate much so I started to get light headed. Then I seen that they took about 4 tubes of blood ahh I thought I was going to pass out!

February 6th 2008: My ultra sound!!!!!! it was schedualed for 9:45am and my obgyn told me to make sure I drank at least 16 ounces of water a half an hour befor the u/s because you have to have a full bladder. I have been waiting so long for this day so I drank about 5 bottles of water just to make sure that it would work, the whole way to the hospitol I had to pee like crazy..then I had to fill out a little paper work and me and my husband waited for about 45 minuts befor they called us back.. that seemed like hours!!! after the nurse put the gel on my stomach and started to use the u/s she made me get up and go to the bathroom because I was too full oops!! I drank too much water! she tried again and this time we could see the baby it was so awesome she was soooo cute you could see her features really well and she was moving her mouth and arms & legs I loved it! then the nurse told me to try and go pee again because she needed more clear pictures of the spine and other organs to send to my obgyn and I still was pretty full from all that water, no arguement there I had no problem going again! when I came back she took about 1000 pictures of the babys body parts and then she finally annouced that it was GIRL! I was so happy thats exactly what I wanted (and of course to hear that she was healthy) and my husband who had been calling her a boy for the past few months was sooo happy too he had a huge smile on his face the whole time : ) then I got more news.. the nurse told me they were wrong about my due date and I wasnt 20 weeks like my obgyn had thought I was, I was really 23 weeks & 2 days!!! so I had a new due date ( June 3rd ) & u/s pictures of our gorgeous baby girl : )

February 22nd 2008: My 3rd obgyn visit I had to do the usual urine test & weight check (128lbs!!!) My doctor felt my uterus and checked the babys heart beat and then told me that all my results and ultra sound results had came back good!! that was a relief to know that everything is well and the baby is healthy! my next apt ill be 30 weeks & 2 days and will be having my glucose test.. I am not looking forward to that! then after that I have to be seen every 2 weeks!

March 9th 2008: My sister had her baby girl today! My husband and I went to go see her at the hospitol and we couldnt put her down! this really makes me want to have my baby girl already!!

March 18 2008: I'm 29 weeks today!! I have been really tired latly & its getting alot harder to sleep at night. The other day I started getting cramps that felt alot like menstral cramps they would come and go for about an hour or so and then just went away. I couldnt get ahold of my doctor but everyone I asked told me it was just braxton hicks contractions and not to worry about it. I cant wait for the next 2 months to go by I am getting so excited!!

March 26th 2008: I just got home from my ob apt and I had to take the glucose test today..I hate getting blood drawn but it really wasnt as bad as everyone has been telling me and they let me choose what flavor of drink I wanted so I got fruit punch. It was really sweet but not as bad as I was expecting it to be! I have to start going in every 2 weeks now and then once a week after that..I am so excited its getting closer to the big day! I start my breathing classes in 2 weeks on April 10th : )

April 10th 2008: I had another dr. apt today I go every 2 weeks now but i'm happy about that because I like to see how everything is going with the baby : ) everyone says I look small for 32 weeks but the doctor says the baby is growing good so that is all that matters to me! my husband and I also started my lamaz classes today they seem really helpful so i'm looking forward to going again.. the classes are every thursday evening untill may 15th!

April 20th 2008: I had my Babyshower yesterday! It was alot of fun and we got soooo much stuff for baby Lily we almost have everything we need now and the rooms is almost done too! I'm washing all of her clothes and blankets today and probably going to start packing my hospital bag soon.. only 4-6 more weeks left I cant wait!! : )

April 22nd 2008: I had another 2 week check up today im schedualed for another ultrasound in 2 days to get the size & dates..I am sooo excited because I have only had 1 ultrasound this whole time and I really want to see her again!

April 25th 2008: So I got my 2nd ultrasound yesterday to check the size & dates and I found out that the baby is 4lbs and 13oz and I am 34weeks pregnant so only 6 more weeks till my due date!! I can aldready tell she is going to be sooo cute : ) she was moving around alot and her head was very very low..the tech said that is a good thing and shes already in 'position' but thats also probably why I have to pee every 2 seconds and been having the worse lower back pain ever!

May 8th 2008: I had another dr.apt today and had my strep b test done it wasnt that bad and went really quick! I have to be seen every week now until the baby is born so I have 3 or 4 dr. apts left until the big day! we have lamaze classes tonight and next thursday will be our last class its kinda sad that its almost over but it just means we are so much closer to having our little girl : )

May 15th 2008: I had another one of my weekly check ups today I'm now 37 weeks so the baby is considerd full term.my Dr found protien in my urine and my blood pressure was pretty high so she sent me to the hospital to have some tests done she thinks I might have preeclampsia and if I do then they will have to deliver me right away. I was admited to the hospital and hooked up to monitors to check the babys heart beat and have my blood pressure taken regularly and while I was hooked up to the monitors you could see that I was having small contractions which I didnt even feel happening but I do feel the strong a few times daily. My blood pressure was back to normal and they did some blood work and that came back good so I didnt get many answers about the preeclampsia today they want me back in the hospital tommorow and to bring 24 hours worth of urnine so they can check the protein levels and my blood pressure again to find out if I do have it..well hopefully everything will be negative ill know more tommorow.

May 24th 2008: I just spent the last 2 days in the hospital because at my dr. apt on thursday they said my bp was high again and so was the protien in my urine so my dr. sent me to get more tests done at the hospital and the test were showing high there too so they went ahead and started my iv and were thinking of inducing me but after talking to my dr. they decided to keep me over night to do more tests and see if they would get lower. They did an ultra sound to check on the baby and they said she looks perfect and she was also head down and "in position" they did a non stress test and kept monitoring me & the baby through the night and checking my bp and labs & I had to do another 24 hour urine test to see if they protien would be lower and it was so they let me come home last night at 10pm on bed rest and want me back in on monday morning for all the same test again :'( so...I feel like a pin cushion by now and I have bruses on both of my arms from all the lab work I keep doing... I really really hope Lily deicdeds to come soon on her own!!
