Tuesday, 1 July Oh yuck, my Dr just put me on the iron suppliments too! She said I wasn't anemic from my blood tests but it may help with the dizziness. Sometimes I feel so dizzy I feel like I have been drinking, but of course I hadn't. I get out of breath easily too. I am starting to look more forward to the end of the next 8 weeks! :)
My hubby and I were stocking up on diapers and we did the math, if they go through 8 diapers each a day, in a month we will have changed 448 diapers!!!!! We went on diapers.com and stocked up. They are fairly reasonable, cheaper than in the store, and if you spend over $50 you get free shipping. With twins that was easy to do! I hear that they go through 8-10 diapers a day! That seems like a lot of poo!
Your little girl is already a lady and not showing off her stuff. One less thing to worry about! :)
The renovation starts any day now! yayyy!! Good luck with the closing of your house!! Its so exciting! I am so happy for you! :) Z.Q.Jackson -
Tuesday, 1 July i had my appointment today..still didnt talk to me about an induction date...i was planning to ask..but i really didnt want to talk about it..& talk about a date..itll only make time slow down for me. lol. but it wasnt my regular doctor that saw me today...so even if i did ask ill get two different informations..my doc told me i could deliver there at 35 weeks..this doc says 36 weeks or else they would refer me to the other hospital i get seen at..because it has a nicu...& the one here doesnt.
but nope! i still havent packed my bags..! bad i know! i always find myself to be a last minute person...i didnt pack my bags with my first until i went into labor...my water broke..& i was like oh shoot! i dont have our bag packed! lol. all their stuff is washed though.
ive been having a "dont bother me" past few days. ive been walkin around the house mad at the world. haha. i havent cleaned a thing these last two days..ive just been tired..so tonight & tomorrow ill start my cleaning...& finish up the twins room. do you have their room done already? twinstwice -
Monday, 30 June Hey, I had my appointment today and all I have to do this week is monitor my sugars at home and watch my diet - no real drastic changes to what I have been eating already. I just have to avoid those sugar cravings! They have been way better now than the first trimester so I should be ok. If I can't monitor my sugar levels with diet then I will probably be put on medication. I hope you don't have to do this - just a pain to keep track of everything.
Did you get a date that you will be induced? I have my next doc appointment on Wednesday so we will see how things are going (it will have been four weeks since my last one).
I am getting out of breath too. I guess just normal with the more space they take up. I don't think these last weeks are going to be much fun. nenadf -
Monday, 30 June Thank you so very much for the advice!!! kerri -
Monday, 30 June Hi. I noticed the stroller you purchased, would you mind sharing what brand and model it is. buninoven -
Monday, 30 June Hiya! It sounds like you had a great appointment! Yay!! I can't belive they are that big already! Amazing!! I haven't heard anything about my glucose so it must be good! Do you ever get super dizzy? The last few days it feels really dizzy even when I lay down. I'm not hungry and I've drank tons-o-water. Weird. Its really hot here in the upper 90's so maybe thats it. I am staying hydrated.
How is the house hunt??? Did you get it??? I have my scan on wed I'm excited to see them again! I feel the elbows and knees now like you were talking about. Super fun! Its funny to see my shirt moving! Someone is in there!! 8 weeks and we will be parents!!!!!!!! Omg! Omg! Exciting and scary!! :) twinstwice -
Sunday, 29 June Hey! How are things going? We are back from our holidays. It was so nice to have help every day. I have help coming on July 15th and then we have some sort of family around until the first of Nov. I am enjoying some time just the girls and me but I think I will be ready for help again. I am no longer sleeping very well (summer is here in full force - heat and all).
Bad news for me - I have been sent to the diabetic clinic tomorrow without even doing the fasting test. I found out last Thursday and have done some research about what I should be eating but it is brutal! The first day I just about lost it with hunger, but I did some more reading and I think things have settled down. I guess I will learn more tomorrow.
Let me know how things are going with you, it has been a while since we chatted. Z.Q.Jackson -
Sunday, 29 June i was 32 weeks. it was just this past thursday.
ive been nesting since 28 weeks. my husband's like sit down & rest..stop trying to do so much! but i cant.
i wish i wouldve invested in one of those belts..or a "belly bra". i heard they work really good...& takes alot of strain off of you.
ive seen so many people on here talking about getting induced..my doctor hasnt really discussed that with me. she thinks ill go into labor on my own in my 35th or 36th week. which gives me 2-3 weeks. i cant wait either. im ready for my babies to come too! i think im alot more anxious this pregnancy than the last. Z.Q.Jackson -
Saturday, 28 June He'll turn! Everytime I went in for a scan he would be feet down then head down..then feet down..then head down...hopefully he stays head down. my last scan baby a was 4lb11 & baby b was 4lb8. i came down with a cold..so im a little miserable. lol. it sucks i cant take any medicine that actually works. but other than that..the usual pains! how about you? buninoven -

Tuesday, 24 June oh no..i loved being pregnant with my first. i could've been pregnant forever!! at first my friends were tellin me how cool it was & they wanted twins..now theyre like seeing what you go through..i dont want twins.
my doctor said because of my size & because ive already started having contractions..shes giving me to 35 weeks give or take a week. i started having contractions at 28 weeks.

Tuesday, 24 June Hi there, hope that you're doing ok. Babies aren't giving you too much trouble. Well I had my dr's appt yesterday and she agreed with me about going on sick leave. I just handed in the dr's note to my boss and she was very understanding. My last official day of work is next Thursday (July 3). But next week Tuesday is a holiday (Canada Day) so next week will be really short. This should give me enough time to tie up all the loose ends here. I'll have to manage through the rest of the week but at least there's light at the end of the tunnel. I'm so looking forward to being able to take it "easy" at home. I appreciate your support and advice. Anyways I better get back to work...talk to you soon! kimpx2 -
Thursday, 19 June Aww well thank you!! HONESTLY, for the first few days home, I thought I was going to die.
;-) It got better though, like everyone said it would but only after taking matters into my own hands. As I'm sure you already know, babies loooove schedules and they work wonders for me, too. Now we all sleep a total of 9 hours at night (of course we wake up two times in between) and we have very specific methods for doing... well... everything!!
I felt like such a horrible mother when one baby would cry his little heart out while I was occupied with the other but as soon as I realized that they wont die if they cry for a couple minutes I was able to gather myself and my sanity.
GOOD LUCK with everything. Although it's tough, I wouldn't trade it for the world. kar -
Thursday, 19 June Thanks so much for all your wonderful advice...I really appreciate it! BTW walking with my back straight, bum clenched, and doing my pelvic excercises at the same time...lol, I can barely walk and talk at the same time. But I'll give it a try. Thanks again and we'll chat soon! Hope that you have a great and painless day! noodle -
Thursday, 19 June I don't know what kind of advice you've gotten but I found an iron supplement I love if you care to hear. IT's called Floradix (natural health food store) -approved by my OBs and no side effects, immediate results! buninoven -
Thursday, 19 June Yayyyyy! Good luck with the house! How exciting! My bag for the hospital is now officially packed. I just got the cutest boy/girl twin outfit on ebay!! Super cute! One is a little dress and the other is a pants and top for the boy, matching the dress! Love it!!! Good luck at the appts next week! I am happy your tummy is better! :) J.baby -
Thursday, 19 June I started taking iron after my first blood test back in march, my doctor said i was slightly anemic. I first took feosol, its a little green triangle and is very strong. when i ran out of those i just bought some generic iron from the pharmacist at target(it was only $2.29!). I try to take it after i eat my biggest meal of the day since i heard it can make your stomach upset and i havent had any upset stomach(yet). My doctor also advised that i take my prenatal vitamin at a different time of day than the iron...that way my body would absorb as much of the iron as possible. I feel good so far and noticed a difference in my energy level.
hope you are feeling better! take care kar -
Wednesday, 18 June I haven't tried the hot water bottle, 'cause I was told by the Registered Massage therapist I saw last weekend to avoing putting anything hot (could induce labour) on my lower back. So I listened...
I'm from Canada & I've opted to deliver with an ob/gyn and not a mid-wife (we don't get to have both here). When I was pregnant with my 1st child, my ob/gyn was very unsympathetic, mind you I was ok and worked till the end of my preganacy. But this time around I've picked a different dr. and she seems much nicer, but I'm still worried that she'll just shrug off my concerns/pain and tell me to just deal with it. I don't think that I could deal with that...so keep your fingers crossed for me, :)
Is your daughter in school? How are you managing taking care of her with your pain? Mine likes to be picked up sometimes (she'll be 3 in 2 wks) and I find it so hard saying no to her (breaks my heart). But I think the worst is that I don't have the energy to play with her as much as I used to... kar -
Wednesday, 18 June Actually that's what I'm hoping that my dr. will agree and put in a request that I stay home. I can take short term disability which is payable by my work till my c-section date and after that start maternity leave. I'm just hoping that my dr. will be willing to do that. My ob/gyn appt is on Monday so hopefully she'll help me out. Was it your dr's suggestions or your own that you stay home? Well either way, it's great that you're feeling somewhat better. And you need all the rest you can get before your twins arrive, lol. bowling4 -
Wednesday, 18 June Wow! You look fabulous! You do look kinda small for twins, but everyone is different. My girlfriend was 8 months pregnant and she was the same size as I was at 5 months! She did have an issue with low fluid and baby weight, but she delivered a beautiful 6 lb 7 oz baby girl. I love my belly and so does my hubby....guess that is all that matters. Have a great day and a wonderful pregnancy!!!!

Wednesday, 18 June Yayyy! My belly button is just starting to pop!!! Do your hips and knees ache at night? Mine sure do, I thought it was just a weird sleeping position but it is almost every night now. I just finished writing my phone list down of family and friends to call because you can't use a cell phone in the hospital. All of my numbers are plugged into my phone so I hardly have to remember them. We will have to use a land line to call everyone. Have you had your glucose test yet? Feel better soon!! :) J.baby -
Wednesday, 18 June My dad is a doctor...he advised me to take my iron with food every time. Even with food it can upset your stomach. I think our stomachs are just super sensitive to straight iron.
