Monday, 28 April hi there I've just seen your comment re: pre-eclamp, I don't have any experiance of this personally but a friend of mine has had it twice and she is 16 weeks pregnant now with her 3rd so the odds are she is going to have the condition again (aparantly you have more likely to get it if your babies are fathered by different men) from what she has told me about it, it's more dangerous if it goes un-noticed and they just keep an eye on you and your baby, if they start to get concerned they may induce if at that point they feel its best for mother and baby... in my friends case they monitor her weekly and because she gets it so bad they dont even induce - straight to c-section, at the moment she's pencilled in for a c-section at 38 weeks but they think they'll prob have to do it at 35 weeks x sorry for babbling on, I hope this helps, good luck and I'm sure that you'll both be fine x babyboi3 -
Sunday, 27 April If your water breaks, it will def take more than that pad to hold it!! :) You'll def know! Mine broke with my first and WOW!! The hospital gave me pad after pad. But, I've read that usually your water doesn't break til you're at the hospital already starting labor. GOOD LUCK!! berbaby3 -
Friday, 25 April I had it with my first! She was 2 weeks early, I think they wont let you go much longer. Just rest if you can and drink a lot of water!!! momofboys -
Friday, 25 April My friend had high blood pressure with her baby, she was induced a week early. Mommy & baby both did well. Good luck! cohen007 -
Friday, 25 April I am getting induced on Sunday due to high BP. I normally have really low BP like both numbers under 100. Lately, I fluctuate between 140/85 and 175/105. Recently, the past week, I have been getting headaches, as well. No protien in the urine, but before I get any worse, thay want to induce. It's not that early, since I will be 39+1 weeks on Sunday. But I sure as heck am scared. jenim24 -
Tuesday, 22 April Mine has been high for 3 weeks now. Usually about 140 over 92, and they dont seem too concerned since there is no protien in my urine. As long as it doesnt go higher and I don't have headaches or blurred vision they are acting like it's ok. HOWEVER I go to the docs 3 times a week. Randomly Friday my BP was 116/62. I don't get it? ohjeezeitsbabytime -
Tuesday, 22 April Don't worry about being induced/high blood pressure! I'm dealing with that right now and as long as your health care provider is on top of things (and it sounds like he/she is) then you can take a deep breath and just let whatever happens happen. You could ask about getting protein strips so you can check your pee at home (if there's protein in it you should let your doctor know). Also let your doctor know if you start swelling up, have bad headaches, or start seeing spots. Basically being induced isn't that big a deal, it can *sometimes* make labor longer or harder, but if your blood pressure goes really high then it's good to get the baby out. Try to rest as much as you can and good luck! Nique -
Tuesday, 22 April Hey Chelle! Friend of mine had her baby 2 weeks ago and at 37 weeks she was told that her BP was too high. They monitored her after a couple of days and when it was still high she was put on bedrest. 2 days later it was still high, so she was induced which ended in a C-section. Hopefully your will go down. Try laying on your left side and taking 5 deep breathes ( in nose; out mouth) right before they take your BP. Make sure they take it while your still laying on your left. I have high BP and I do this at my appts and it ALWAYS lowers it. Good Luck! Scooby-doo -

Wednesday, 16 April Yea, I know how you feel...My dc didn't do an internal once again...she said she just doesn't see any reason too, I didn't argue with her though...next week I see my midwife and I'll be 38 weeks, so I will def. be asking her to do one, just want to see if I've progressed at all you know? Aside from that everything seems good...I'm measuring exactly 37 cm's which is right on for 37 weeks and his heartrate was good, so I guess that's what really matters. Soon enough they'll be here, when they're good and ready....Just can't wait! One.Day.Late -

Monday, 14 April Hi there this is my 4th baby and still no milk coming out. Actually with all the others, there was no milk until after birth--so do not stress...and I managed to breastfeed for over a year with the last baby- so it is no indication of how much milk you'll have. Good luck. Leave a message for chelle84 in the right column where it reads `Add comment`
