In my 2nd trimester now-- steadily making my way toward the third... I was able to hold out at the ultrasound!! I'm going for the big surprise... There aren't a lot of true surprises in life-- why not let myself have just one?!

My biggest concern right now is child care for after I have the baby. I wish I could be a stay at home mom for the first few years, but that is not possible...

I'm currently at week 26.......very happy. Feeling good. Hope the same for all of you!!!

Just a little update: who knew getting an appointment would be so difficult. These people have been giving us the run around. My Tricare Prime isn't approved until Oct. 1 which means i have to see a civilian doctor till then, but one doctor I called said they wouldn't do it because it didn't make sense if I was just going to transfer over to a military doctor. Wow- how rude!! But I finally have an appointment September 9. ****Hope you all have a good labor day weekend****

WOW! Madisyn's going to be 10 weeks old this thursday.....and she SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT last night!!!!! It was so great! I put her to bed at about 1030 and she didn't wake up at all until 630 this morning!!!

SORRY IF THIS IS TMI, BUT IT WILL EXPLAIN MY DR APPT YESTERDAY! Ok, so I gave birth on a thursday, and the tuesday after, I went to the dr because I was running a fever and I had some weird stuff "hanging out" of my privates.... it turned out to be membranes left after birth. The nurses were instructed to double check me before I went home, but no one did. SO....my dr gently removed it and gave me antibiotics to prevent infection. WELL, the bleeding I was having was STILL from that. There was a "yarn string" sized amount still there... Again, we removed it, and now I'm fine. Also, I started Seasonique birth control at my 6 week check up and that's another reason for the bleeding.

Hey everyone! Just thought I'd let you guys know how my hubby's dentist appointment went. He has several appointments to fix his teeth from his accident back in June. Well they told him last Friday he was going to need a root canal today, we were there for over and hour and a half and they didn't do anything. They said they made a mistake and he didn't need it. Time and gas money wasted, geez. But I know he is excited he didn't get it done. Well, tomorrow is the BIG TESTING DAY. I'm so scared/nervous. Hope all is well with each and every one of you and I hope you all have a GREAT day!

Hey there, no they wouldn't let me qualify while preggo. I'm not sure why b/c we don't shoot our shot guns or pistols in prone position only the rifles and I elected to not qualify on that years ago. I feel totally out of practice to be honest. I need to get to the range and brush up prior to qualification. I actually just started working parttime, just 1 day a week to get my feet wet, but I'm still on limited duty so I don't carry and I don't do any criminal investigations.

Are you nursing your little one? If so, are you going to keep up with it once you go back to work? What are your plans for daycare?

Hey everyone! Just had to let you ladies know that I feel 100x's better this morning. I had it in mind that I was going to be rude when I went to speak to our landlord today because they sent us a letter saying we owed rent plus late fees, when we already paid rent. Well I took my money order stubs up there and there was another lady that I had never seen before, she was really nice and found our money order. So I'm really glad I was nice and didn't snap. But it kind of makes you wonder what re-re's are handling your money. Anyway, hope you have a good day.

Motherhood is going great. It was ROUGH the first 2-3 weeks, but now that I have the hang of it - it's the best thing in the world. How much time are you taking off of work? I decided to take 3 months off paid and 1 month off unpaid so I'm going back the end of October. I would love to take off longer, but it's just not in the cards.
