We got a new little surprise on Jan 11th when the docs office called to let us know our bloodwork was positive! To make a long story short, its been a roller coaster so far. No one at the specialists office thought this pregnancy would make it past the first stages. Bloodwork was all over the place, and I was getting the expect this to fail speech from the RE. On Feb 4th we had our 3rd of 5 ultrasounds you get at the RE. We have a heartbeat and a little bean! 128BPM! We were so releived, and everyone at the RE's office is still baffled. A couple of more weeks and I graduate to the OB! I cant wait!

Oh and I forgot to mention, I am completely out of regular pants. I have to wear maternity pants already!

Nothing new to upadate. I have a docs appt thurs and im still waiting for the high risk doc to call me to set up a consult. I have to see him because of my loss history and the fact that im on blood thinners, the OB wants him to determine if its necessary to be on them the whole pregnancy. my appt next thursday i will be getting an ultrasound too. i bet ive gained about 2 pounds back already, i only started excersizing again this week, more than ive had because i had some spotting up until a couple of weeks ago.

It went well... I went in they did the regular check up and then gave me the bottle to drink. I drank it and my mom and I went to the hospital to shop the gift store. I came back in the hour and they took my blood. My veins are so hard to find they had to poke two times!

Then I was done and they said that the results should be in Mon or Tue. If I don't hear anything, good... if not, they will be calling.
I also had my 3D/4D ultrasound on Fri. My mom, my aunt, and Freddie came. It would have been so much fun had Alexis not had her hands infront of her face the entire time AND sleeping!! We were only supposed to have a 20-30 min session. We were there for about 1 1/2 hours trying to wake her butt up. We had to finally give up but this place promises to get you your 20-30 min CD and all good face shots so we are going back on Sept. 30th for free. I hope she is not hiding still. Oh! And she is breeched! Her head is up by myribs on the right and her back and butt are farther down on my lefthand side. I have 11 more weeks, so I hope she turns around. Do you know any tricks to make sure they are awake for the 3D/4D? I guess I should have asked this before going!

ha! Thanks! I wish i felt half as good as people say i look..lol...No..i havent dropped and i asked my Dr. about it when i had my u/s the other day. He said because its my 2nd baby that i more then likely wont drop until i actually go into labor.....lucky me..lol.....I swelled up like a baloon with my first. Are you taking in alot of salt? eating alot fo ice cream or anything? Even cheese has alot. That will make your water retention horrible! So how ready are you to have this over with? lol

oh ok...thx for the info. I'm really worried about how big my baby boy will be since i'm striving for a unmedicated natural birth and as u can see i'm very petite. He measured 3 weeks ahead at both my u/s so maybe i can ask my OB to do a quick u/s at my d/a to see how big he is now since they our last u/s was at 27weeks. I forgot all about those lil quick u/s machines until u mentioned it...i had to have one done at 11 weeks when they couldn't find his heartbeat.

i wouldnt worry about the hiccups. my friends daughter always had hiccups when she was in the womb and she was absolutly fine when she was born. all babys are different in the womb and out xxx

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Every reply I have helps so much. Knowing other people have had a similar experiance helps me to relax a bit. I just pray I will get the heartbeat in two weeks. I will be starting on Tinzaparine injections if they get something in 2 weeks. xxx

Just got back- and yup it's still a girl- so we'll go with that! Now to work on that. I really want to do Hellena for a middle name which is a combo of both my grandmother's names but my husband's not crazy about the invented spelling! We definitely got some great shots but she was putting her hands in front of her face a lot! I had to do the cough and roll! I'll be delivering at StonyBrook and I am hoping to go the full 40, as I'd like to work as long as possible to get my days on the other end! OK, seriously thinking of heading over to snowflakes for some ice cream in a bit!

If it's confirmed as a girl, Riley is in our top ten, too! I love that name! We're still working on it. We'd like to do something with the grandparents' names for a middle, so we'll see how that works out. Where are you delivering? Did you take a class? Peconic Bay is offering one, but so is a nurse from my ob so I'm trying to decide which one to take.

oh man that's really rough. I think I would cry. My husband's grandma did the same thing. First she bought peices (not the whole thing) of a Whinny the Pooh bedding set that couldn't have been farther from what we were actually going for. Then, what's worse, she took all the packaging off so I have no idea where the stuff is from or where to return it to. Oh well, I'll make some local thrift store very happy.

I'm sorry to hear about your shower drama. I had a very similar experiance with mine except it was my mother in law who did it. She didn't buy a single thing from my registery and also told me that nobody else would since "people are going to buy you want they want to get you anyway." Can you return any of the stuff she bought for store credit? I've done that with a bunch of things already and the rest I'm just donating. I refuse to be reminded of that miserable woman every time I dress my baby or give him a toy to play with. I don't know why people are so thoughtless but at least you know you have company;)
