After charting while trying to get pregnent for over a year, I learned how to check my cervix for fertility signs, so yes, I too have been checking my own cervix. I agree with you, if Dr. won't do it, I'll do it myself just to have an idea what's going on in there. You're lucky though, I can still barely reach mine and it is just starting to soften. BTW - as gross as it sounds, I did let husband feel too. As much as he thought he wanted to, when he actaully did I think it grossed him out, so good call saying "no". lol.

i read up how to check my own cervix and have checked it a few times over the past couple weeks (always wash hands good before doing so). figured that if a dr. could check, i could. i can feel the opening and the baby's head (i'd guess 1-2cm dilated). kinda gross but good to know i can check myself if need be!
