Hey chook!.. I finally talked him round to the home birth. He's still not 100% comfortable but I think he'll get there. I've spoken to a few of the midwives and they all seem lovely> There's a good support group here I'm gonna start dragging him to the meetings. I was lucky one of the schools mum's told us about a horrific experience she had at the hospital here. She had to deliver the baby on her own in the storage room because the labor ward was full. And no one saw her for a an hour after the baby was born! so they didn't declare the weight or time of birth. It's bad that that happened but it's good that it supports my case! It's beach weather here at the mo but I'm not looking forward to being big pregnant in Queensland summer. I definitely prefer perth heat. Hope you have a great time in Bali!

I don't live in Perth anymore. I moved to the sunshine coast last year. I've been having some very heated discussions with my partner about the whole home birthing thing. He thinks there's too many risks. I found a place in aus that makes the birthing tubs http://www.simplybirth.com.au/
That's what I wanted to have but I probably won't win this battle. With Gideon I went to the natural birthing centre that's part of King Edward in Subiaco and they had the best big tubs and showers but they weren't allowed to do water births. Let me know how you go with your arrangements. I don't know anything about home birthing. Have you found out the sex of your baby ?
