2nd April 2009
Hi ladies!
I'm in trouble... well not really but... it happened in a very complicated situation.I was on BCP since 9th March 2009.... together with antibiotics for a lung infection I had.
Little did I know that the BCP would be counter-acted with the antibiotics... Now that that has happened, guess what?!
And look at how DARK it is!!! I took this one below today (2nd April)
Take this survey if you are pregnant (Today's Date: 9th July 2009)
Your name? Risa
Fathers name? Andy
Are you still with him? Yes!!!
Were you trying to get pregnant? No we weren't... I was on birth control and antibiotics for a lung infection, and my blood count was low, with an abnormally high amount of white blood cells... All this contributed to my body rejecting everything I put into it... including the bcp. It was totally unexpected!
When you found out
When did you find out? 2 April 2009
Where did you find out? I was in work, and I took a test.
How far along were you? 4 weeks 4 days
What was your reaction? Excited, happy, scared, thrilled... everything all at once!
Who was the first person you told? My good and very close friend... Vanessa.
How did you tell the father? It was 11:45pm and we had just returned from a night out with friends, he wanted to know what was up with me because I was acting funny (I didn't want to go in the smoking section, and I wasn't drinking alcohol) He began pestering me because I told him we'd talk about it in the morning (so that he won't stay up whole night) so I told him...
What was his reaction? Well it was expected that he'd be upset, he began crying because he was sweating the small stuff, but I know with time, he will grow to accept it and come to love it soon... (update 22 April 2009) he's slowly but surely coming around...! He says for me not to expect him to be excited, however he will be supportive. I can't ask for more right now, but soon enough, I have faith, everything will change... (update 7 July 2009) He's more than getting there... he hasn't felt the baby move, and prefers not to (he says he'll get grossed out!) but he's very protective, and very concerned abt all that's taking place and the baby's and my well being.
All about your pregnancy
When is your due date? 6 Dec 2009 by LMP.
Did you have any morning sickness? Yes, for approx. 2 weeks.
What are your fears? Losing the baby (I've had two miscarriages in the past)
What
are you most happy about? That a miracle is growing inside of me!
Do you want a boy or girl? Really and truly, it doesn't matter!
What does the father want boy or girl? He doesn't have a preference but has expressed his views that he thinks it's a boy.
Do you know what your having? Yes! We're having a little BOY!!!
Do you have a names picked out? I would love for my bf's three year old niece to name our baby boy... she's so good at naming her stuffed toys! She'll be sure to provide us with something swanky!
How much weight have you gained? 9 pounds!
Have you felt the baby move? I've felt the flutters and it's amazing! On 25th May, I felt a big movement! Since the 16 week mark, I've been feeling major movements, and now it's on to kicks, punches and rolls!
When you have the baby
Are you keeping the baby? Most definitely!
Do you plan on a natural or medicated birth? Au naturale, if meds are to be used, ok!
Are you scared about labor? Honestly, yes. I've heard millions of stories of what can happen in the delivery room, and many experiences related to me... but I hope and pray mine will be a safe and healthy labour!
What do you think will be the worst part of labor? From what I've heard, it has to be the contractions, and the labour.
Have you taken any classes? No.
Who will be in the delivery room? My bf is scared to be in the delivery room, and so is my mom. So most likely I'll be on my own.
Are you having the birth videotaped? I am contemplating, after all, I would like to see what I couldn't!
Do you think you will cry when you see the baby for the first time? I most definitely will...
What do you think the fathers reaction to the baby will be? He will cry too... he's really soft hearted!
How do you think family and friends will feel? Everyone will be disappointed when they hear the news because my bf and I aren't married, but all that will change when the baby enters this world... I just know it!
