I'd say that as long as you feel good, and your not dilated at all, go for it! 2 hours is a weenie flight, and even if you were to go into labor while there (which probably totally wouldn't happen), you could get home in time....but you know what? Call the airline. Some airlines won't let you on the plane after a certain point in your pregnancy because they don't want to be responsible. So check with them, and ask your doctor one more time....besides, it might be your last chance to party....

I take the DHA supplement and I am regular like you! No worries!

This may sound silly, but the only thing that's helping my little guy calm down and let me sleep is playing classical or new age instrumental music. I got about 4 hours last night which is a miracle! I'm going to try and take mini naps during the day since I work from home and hope for the best. Good luck!

Glad you are better! I had the same thing happen to me last week and was borderline dehydrated as they said that my urine was too concentrated. I started drinking more immediately because the fact that I was not drinking enough water also caused constipation as well.

Hey there. I just read your post and this is my 3rd so maybe I can help you out!! What the dr should be doing each time at least is testing your urine for protein, weighing you, taking your blood pressure, measuring your stomache and listening for a solid heart beat. As we get further along then they will start to do pelvic exams and stuff like that. As long as they are doing the basic's then I wouldn't worry to much. Just remember though that you are paying them and if you want them to do something else just to ease your mind don't hesitate to ask. As long as it wouldn't endanger the baby they should have no problem helping you out!!! Hope this helps! If you have any other questions I am just a msg away!!!

Hi - I completly agree with you about the doctors saw mine right at the beginning and she didn't even look up from the screen I felt so silly i went home and took another test - as i felt like i was making it up. then you have to wait until your 12 weeks otherwise they don't want to know - infact i have only seen my midwife twice and I am due same day as you. I can always phone the midwife but it does all seem really distant i am lucky that i have some friends whose babies are only a few months old and they have helped loads - if i can help you at all just ask - you are not alone!! Congratulations and Good luck!!!

i just read your comment on how much the doc is telling you! i am too a first time mom and thats all she really does for me too. i think because they cant go over every little thing that may or may not be happening to each individual they only ask if you have questions. so i always make a list between appointements so i am sure to get the answers i need. i think its a general thing that we are dealing with! good luck with all

Same with our OB...it's really rather frustrating. What did people do before internet access to look up everything?? My OB hasn't told me anything, I feel like I'm paying for nothing :( I guess you have to have a list of questions to ask them to get any information huh?

noahsmom - Tuesday, 8 April
thats pretty much all the doctor does, just ask you if you have questions and measuring, plus ordering tests. she sounds like every other OB doctor i know. no information at all, pretty disappointing. you guys are doing the right thing by reading on pregnancy. every pregnant friend i have ever had plus myself have done the same thing, then go to the doctor and ask on some of the subjects. i bought about 3 different books on pregnancy and was glad i had done that being that almost all of them had something different to say in certain subjects. good luck with your reading!!
