WE LOVE DAVE MATTHEWS!!!!!! HERE IS OUR SONG!!!!! ENJOY!!!!!

Jan 15, 2008

Ok. So what do babies do in their crib. I thought of that often, so before Mattie was here we installed a camera on our network. I have to say I got the biggest chuckle last night as I was laying there in bed with my laptop watching him. He was kicking around and just cooing away. He looked happy, that was until he lost his pacifier. Then he was not happy at all. Matthw is getting to be such a big boy now. He is already approching 12 pounds! Come on 13 pounds, Dr. Sterkel says that is the magic number to when most babies start to sleep through the night. Don't know how long it will be but I can't wait. Matthew is a BIG eater. I have learned with him though that if I give him his bath a little later then normal then he does a little better at night. For instance, if I feed him at 6 give him his bath about 8:3o ish, another bottle at 9 pm, maybe dosing off a little and a bottle at midnight, he will go until 4-4:30 ish. However, the 4:30 ish bottle is the hardest one for me, as he does not always want to go back down right away. I always said I was not going to do this, but what is a sleep deprived mom to do. I always said I would NEVER put the baby in bed with me. Well I kind of have, but just until he is asleep and then I move him to his room. I know, I know bad mom. But what else am I to do. I'm so tired and well Marc was a great help the first week and then he got this really bad cold and did not want to give it to Mattie so I was pulling both day and night shifts. I even started pumping when I got home from the hospital so Marc could feel like a part of the feeding process, only to screw myself as well Marc has totally stopped doing any of the feedings since he is now just focused on work and his company. Now Mattie won't latch on again. So feedings are long and tiring. More burping, rolling gas bubbles. What a pain. Any advice I can give to the currect expecting moms out there... don't stop breast feeding! Bottles are great and all, but really it is better to nurse then to pump! Well speaking of feeding.. it is time for another. Good Luck Mommies!

Happy New Year Everyone! Matthew is one month old today!!! Things are still going very well here at the Fussell home. Matthew is getting to be such a big boy! He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces when he arrived, as of last Thursday he was 10 pounds 1 ounce. We all had a wonderful holiday and were excited that it was Mattie's first Christmas. He was given all kinds of wonderful gifts from friends and family. We had a wonderful time ringing in the New Year with the kids. Matthew was wide awake to enjoy the celebration as well. I have been busy trying to keep my head above water as of late. There are times I feel like I need a third arm to help me out, but I hope to be on some sort of schedule soon. Marc has really been busy with work, things for him are going very well. Poor guy I know he has been feeling horrible since he has not been able to help me out as much with Matthew. Well the little one is waking up from his nap. I hope all is well with everyone, your all in my thoughts!

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to give everyone an update on things here at home. All is still going very well. Monday was Matthew's first doctors appointment and everything is perfect. When we left the hospital Matthew was 8.2 pounds. He only lost 2 ounces, and was still 8.2 ounces on Monday. Things are going very well with nursing he is a big eater. He takes 4 ounces at each feeding. That is great for a newborn. This week was the first time my mom came and sat with the kids while we went to the neighbors house for a Christmas Party. Ok we only were out for an hour and a half but it was nice to step away from the house for a few minutes. Marc is still doing very well with Mattie, and seems not to mind with the evening shift ( 1 am & 4 am feedings) since he is awake working anyway. As for me I have the 7 am-11pm schedule. I love being a mother! Well that is about it for now. I will keep you all in the loop.

Hello All~

Thank you for those of you who sent me messages, cards & emails. Although this week has been one of the hardest ones for me I am trying to stay strong. With Mattie here now, it is easier to focus my attentions to him and try not to get upset. For the most part is working, I have my moments. Someone told me "Time Heals Everything". With the Holiday's approching I will have close family and friends around me to help me get through.

Marc is doing very well with Mattie. I have to say for a man that has never been round children until Luke and myself came into his life he is doing an AWESOME job with the baby. He feeds, changes clothes, holds him and does diaper duty. Since my C-section Marc has been wonderful with helping me as well as Luke. My c-section was on Tuesday and I was missing home so much that my doctor allowed me to come home on Friday afternoon. I was suppose to be in until Sunday, Dr. Colton said that the c-section on his end went smooth but my blood pressure was giving everyone a run for their money for the first two days.

Matthew is doing very well at home. What a easy baby. Never Cries!!! Well only until he is hungry or needs a change. Seems very content and happy just to be around doing. He loves to look at the lights. OH! from my previous message I left you all I stated that I did not know who he looks like.. well the verdict is in and after comparing baby pictures..... it's Marc all over again. Matthew has all of Marc's facial features, except he has my forhead (ok...) and my hair (let me say WHAT A HEAD FULL), has Marc's wonderful long fingers and toes. I have posted pictures of our pride and joy!! Take a moment to take a look! He is beautiful if I do say so myslef. Love you all and again Thank you for your support in my difficult time.

Christie~

What a blessed day we had today! Matthew made his grand entrance into the world today. He was born at 11:30, weighing in at 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 20 3/4 long. He is beautiful! It is hard to say who he looks like at this moment as I see both of us in Matthew. The C/S went smooth, however I was really scared. I did cry when they were placing the epadurial. I had never had one before so I really did not know what to expect. Personally I think it was a little of everything the unknown, the loss, and the gain of a wonderful little baby. Marc was by my side the enitre way and then some. I will try and have some pictures posted ASAP. I have the pictures but Marc has to download them.

Today is a very sad day at the Fussell home. My dad who has been battling lung cancer the last two years passed away at 4:00 am this morning. I have to say that I was there standing by my mother's side until the end. He looked so peaceful when I saw him. I knew it was coming when Friday my mom asked him if he was going to hold on until Matthew arrives. His response was "I don't think so, I'm tired". It was at that moment that I knew there was that chance he would go before this Tuesday. Everything happend so quickly, his health that is. I can't believe he is gone. My mother said something to me that I really really believe in. She said to me, he knew how important it was for me to be by your side when this baby comes. He was at peace with everyone he saw, and wanted this to be your time now. He will live on through Matthew. He will watch over this precious little one from up above. She also said to me that although this is a loss to our family we have a gain as well with this little one. The healing process will be tough but at the same time will be a little easier since we will have Mattie to look after. Time does heal all. She is a smart woman my mom. I never looked at things the way she said them. I'm sad to know that since my c-section is going to be this Tuesday and the funeral on Wednesday that I won't be able to go to the funeral. Marc and Luke will go to represent our family (Marc, Me, Luke and Matthew). Marc will see to it that he will watch over my mom and that she is fine. I'm glad to be married to the kind of man that I am. Always one to want to take care of everyone and everything. I am truly blessed in many ways.

Hey Everyone.. we just finished at the doctor's office. I am 37.4 weeks along and I measured 39. Matthew is head down, but is not in my pelvis yet. This was my last appointment until next Tuesday (D-Day)which is what Dr. calls our "play date". He instructed me that I am to go to the hospital on Monday to meet with the staff, the anesthesiologist and do have some labs done. They will also tell me when to report by on Tuesday Morning. I think we have finished all of the baby shopping we could do now. The bedding will be here Tuesday! Yippie!!!!! I reordered from a different place who had it in stock. Ok so I paid more, but I don't care anymore. I just want it here. Anyway, I just wanted to put a quick post.

Happy Turkey Day to Everyone!
Not much to report on this week other then preparing for Thanksgiving. Marc bought two turkeys to prepare this year. Unfortuantly my mom will not be able to come for Thanksgiving as she is by my step dad's bedside. Hospice said that it could be anytime for him to pass. So later on today I will bring dinner to them. Marc's family will be here though, it will be his mom, Aunt, Uncle, Cousin and her boyfriend. Luke is with his dad this year so it will be a small dinner this year. I'm really not use to it to be honest. This is the first time ever in my life that well it is just his family. I turned on the Macy's Day parade in hopes that it would put me in the moode for the holiday, I hate to say it hasn't. The only thing that brings me joy right now is that Matthew will be here soon. I only have 11 days left. Matthews room is ready for the most part. I'm still waiting on his bedding, which I'm told will ship on the 28th of this month. Crazy that you order something in July and it takes almost 6 months to get here. Oh well. I will visit the doctor's office on Monday so I will keep everyone posted on Mattie's progress. I wish everyone a very happy holiday!

Hey Ladies! WOW! What a few couple of weeks this turned out to be. I have been ever so busy with everything, I don't even know where to update everyone at. Between finishing up some loose ends at the office, another shower and "trying" to get things put away, I have to say it has been a busy one.
My last day of work was Nov. 9th so I'm free from work until the 1st of March! Whoo Hoo! My MIL had a shower for me on Sunday Nov 11th. So during the week I was helping her finish up some odds and ends, turns out that her friend that was suppose to help her went out of town. So she needed me to help with just a few things. The shower was wonderful, it was held at her country club that she belongs to. She invited 54 people, some of which were some of my friends and some of hers. I have to say (as well as a few of my friends) this was the most elaborate shower I have ever went to or had. The tables were nicely placed around the windows for my friends and the food... AMAZING! After appetizers and drinks the ladies were served pumpkin soup in gorges, Chicken wrapped in folio dough with a cream sauce and snow peas. Following that we opened gifts (2 hours worth) and everyone was served coffee, tea and cake. I have posted some pics of the shower for you to see.
My best friend Krista took them as Marc taped everything. Matthew received some very nice gifts. This child is truly a blessing to this family, with my step dad getting ready to pass, I feel that with a new child here that it will I hope in some way help the healing process of this family when the time comes. I spoke to my mother this week and she said that the doc's are not giving my step dad much time left. Things were really bad this week. So I have been helping her with things as well. I had my doctor’s appointment on Wednesday and the doc said all is going well with Matthew. I measured at 36 1/2 weeks. We are still on schedule for a Dec. 4th C-Section, if we don't go earlier. He seems to think I won't go, but I don't know. Maybe if I just sat down and quit doing things around the house I might make is date! Alan & Christine (our neighbors) came over last night. They brought over yet another gift to Matthew. My neighbors are so nice. We are very lucky to have them. Tonight we have some friends coming over for dinner; we have really been looking forward to them coming for a few weeks now, so that is our plan for tonight. Well that is it for now. I will try and keep everyone posted on things.

Nov. 4, 2007

Well Everyone we are 30 days out today!! Today we have been working around the house on some minor projects. The painting that I did for Matthew's room was hung up and I have to say it looks GREAT!!! This past week we recieved many nice things for Matthew. Our Uncle Sid and Uncle Curtis sent Matthew a swing, pack and play, his frist Teddy Bear (From Vermont!!), the cutest Ralph Lauren outfit and my favorite of all a book that was made just for Matthew that spells out his name. I can't wait until he arrives and I can read it to him each night. We also recieved in the mail a car seat and a few gift certificates from friends.

This next week will be my last week of work. I have to say I'm kind of glad. I have not taken anytime off this year except one sick day, so a break will be nice. Not to mention it will allow me to finish up on some of the odds and ends that I have to do before Matthew arrives.

This next weekend is Matthew's shower that my Mother in Law is having for us. There were a total of 54 invites sent out and we will be having 47 of them attend! Wow! I'm so excited to see everyone. I feel as if I was anti-social all year! So having a day with friends and family is just what I need. Marc plans on coming as well, which I'm really happy he is. Well I just wanted to give a brief update! I will update mid week to let everyone know how things are going. Check back later!

Happy Halloween All! I had my doctors apointment today. Matthew is continuing to grow and all is going well. His heartbeat is ever so strong. It won't be too much longer and he will be here. Bets are all on with my family and co-workers that he will make is appearance early (Thanksgiving week) . Personally I'm going with the doc on this one and keeping the Dec 4th due date. But who knows anything is possible. We got the furniture yesterday! Yippie! It is so beautiful, this will be a set that Matthew will not only grow into but will last him many many years. The only thing right now that we are waiting on is the 4 piece bedding. It's crazy, we ordered it back in July! I spoke to the manufacturer of the bedding and they assured me that they have a shipment coming in this week. Yeah heard that one before, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! We are scheduled for another baby shower next weekend. It is going to be a really really nice time. This time it will be held at the country club. We have been recieving some really nice gifts from those who can't attend. Today I recieved a car seat! Well we now know that Matthew will have something to come home in. This past week Marc has been really working hard on the nursery, getting not only the closet ready, but everything in its place. Well that is all that I have for this week so far. Everyone have a fun by SAFE Halloween! Keep you posted.

Oct. 23, 2007

Hey Everyone!!! Well I have added some pictures to my page. Check them out if you have a minute. This past week was a very busy one for the Fussell's! Other then the basement being complete it has just been getting things back into their places. Went to the doctors on Wed, Matthew is doing well. I measured at 32.5 and Matthew heartbeat was very strong. My office had a surprised baby shower for me. Ok Ihave to say I was really really surprised. Generally I know everything that is going on in my office. Well except this. We had a really really good time. As I hope everyone else did too. I was given some very very nice gifts from my co-workers! I just love them all.
This week will be just busy with parent teacher conferences and getting Matthew's closet put together. Marc has his work cut out for him.... yet again. Keep everyone posted!!!

Oct. 14, 2007

Hey Everyone!! Well today was a GREAT day. My neighbor Christine had a baby shower for me and invited our neighbors. There was my mom, Tracy, Christine, Faye, Valerie, Carolyn, Krista and myslef. We went to a place here in STL called Yia Yia's, it is one of my favorite places to go. Marc and I frequent there often. I was given some really nice gifts for Matthew. I'm very lucky to have such great neighbors. I truely value each and every one of them. They are the kind of people that are once and a lifetime people. Marc and I have somewhat small families and well we think of our neighbors as family. It does not matter what time of day it is you could always call on them for anything including everyone children. I will post some baby shower pics here in a bit. I need to down load them of the camera.

Well the basement is 95% complete. I believe at this point it is just the carpet that needs to be installed and well the cleaning part. Then it's moving the furniture to its proper place. We are so very much excieted about the completion of this project. Then it is off to start Matthew's room.

I can't believe that I only have 50 days left at this point! Everyone I talked to say that they think I will go early and won't make it to Dec 4th. I hope I do. We need the extra time. I'm still working at this point and will be until Nov 13th, that is my last day. I'm looking forward to some time off to finish things, you know all those last minute mommy things.

I will keep everyone posted on this next week's activities. I go back to the docs this week (17th) so I will let you know how Matthew is doing.

Oct 4, 2007

Hey Everyone!!! Happy 30th week. Well we only have 8 more weeks until Matthew is here! I can't wait to hold the little guy in my arms. We are just about finished with the basement THANKS GOODNESS!!! This whole construction stuff is for the birds. Next I will be starting on Matthew's Room. The furniture is scheduled to arrive the week of the 15th. Yesterday was my birhtday. Very uneventful, my husband and son forgot. When I got home Marc needed my help with some painting and the cabinets needed to be taken care of at Lowes. I can see his focus right now.. the house is still a mess with the basement. I know he did not mean it. Oh well, it's just a birthday. My mom, sister, little sister and step dad all remembered I got a call from each one of them. So it was not too bad. My friend Holly made me cupcakes which I shared with the office. That was so sweet of her. I just love my co-workers they really are great people. I know some of you who read this may think to themself how they can't stand their co-workers but not me.. all the girls here are just great. Not to mention they are so excited to see Matthew. That is all that I have for now. Keep you posted!!

September 28, 2007

Hey ALL!!! Well I do hope everyone has had a great week. We re making great progress at the Fussell house regarding the basement. Marc & the contractors have been working late into the evening to make certain that we are on track. My mom came by last night, it was good to see her. Tonight Luke will be going to my mom's house to celebrate his birthday. More like his birthday weekend. I'm telling you all this boy of mine has a busy schedule! We hit the 29th week mark. Won't be long now until Matthew is here. I can't wait. Read in the news today that some woman in Russia gave birth to a 17 pound 1 ounce baby girl! I could not believe it! I mean the child is almost grown (ha ha ha). No thanks, I will just stick with the 8 pound babies myself. My friend sent me a funny clip yesterday... here it is if you need a good laugh. All I have to say is it is soooo true! http://youtube.com/watch?v=w_oc1j5NakY

Matthew has been very active this week. I know he has grown quit a bit. I can feel it. I have my next doctors visit October 17th. Anyway well I hope everyone has a great weekend. I will keep you posted on Matthew and his progress.

September 17, 2007

I have to say things are going better this week with the basement project. Marc and I have accomplished many of the projects we have set forth to do before Matthew Ayden arrives. We went to the doctors today and had our ultrasound. The doctor there says that Matthew is growing well and is already 2 1/2 pounds. Since Matthew will be too big for me to deliver we have scheduled our C-Section for December 4, 2007. We are all so excited for his arrival. Marc says he is as well, but is more on a time crunch with getting things finished before he does get here. Marc has been working non stop around the house completing projects here and there. I have taken on some "mommy safe" projects myself and have finished all but one. Next will be getting the nursery ready to go. Thr furniture will be here in a couple of weeks. Just in time to get the other furniture set back in it's place. We currently have been using the nursery for storage while the basement work is being completed. It is Luke's birthday this weekend. I can't believe he is going to be 11 years old. How time does fly by. It seems like just yesterday that I was waiting on his arrival. Now he is going to be a big brother! Luke is very excited, he has always wanted to be a big brother. I'm happy that he is going to have this chance. I know he will be great at it.

September 10, 2007

Ever get into a project when you realize that you bit off more then you can chew. As some of you know, Marc & I have been thinkging about having our basement finished off. So after looking for the last year, the baby kind of made that decision for us. We wanted a nice place for Luke and his friends to go and well a place that we could enjoy as a family as well. Everything was going great, a little too smooth if you ask me. When all of a sudden here it comes, BOOM bad news!! The plumbers ran into plumbing issues with the inspector. Apparently when our home was built it was ran with different size piping that is required now. To fix the problem, new piping must be installed to bring it to current code and to install our new bathroom in the basement. Sounds pretty simple now right? WRONG! We have a two story home, which means that they have to take this new piping all the way up to the roof. So I'm sitting here thinking to myself ok now what walls will I be missing. They have to demo walls just the run this new piping. I also have to admit Marc was really getting ready to pull the plug on everything, when I said to him. Let's just have them finish the project, we have all this furniture coming to furnish dowstairs. The baby's room furniture will be coming soon and he will be here. So needless to say they are starting on the demo and installation of the new piping tomorrow. This weekend was ok, considering the circumstances, I painted a table that I had and planned on putting downstairs. I also helped Marc finish up on some websites that were still out there. Oh and I did not sleep any. I think I am at that stage of this pregnancy where you don't sleep or breath. I will be 27 weeks come Wednesday. The pregnancy has gone by fast. I go on Monday to see the doctor, and to have another ultrasound. I can't wait to see my little boy. Keep everyone posted on the house and what daytime drama we have this week. Take Care!

September 5, 2007

I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I know we did. It was a very busy weekend at the Fussell Home. Saturday we took Luke to see the Blue Angles at the airshow. Man was it a bear getting in but worth every moment. The Blue Angles were amazing! Although the baby did not seem to like the noise all that much. He was kicking around so much that I got back into the car and watched from there. Then we got a call from our neighbors wanting to see if we wanted to go to the Greek festival at St. Nick's church. I have to say each year it has become tradition to go with them. The food was soooo good, we had gyros. That lead us to night time where we sat on the back deck with everyone, including those who did not come with us and talked until it was 1:30 in the morning. Sunday we went shopping for bigger clothes for me. I bought a pair of jeans, and two sets of the maternity jogging suits. They will come in handy when I'm coming home from the hospital. Monday we went to dinner with my mom and step dad to a Greek place. Mom and step dad could not go with us the other night and the festival was so packed people were waiting for hours for food. So we had to go with them. This is the only time in the year that we really go for the Greek food. Afterwards they came back for a drink on the back deck and had to get home. To be honest I was not looking forward to my weekend ending. We really had a good time with everyone.

August 21, 2007

Went to the doc's yesterday. I had to take the glucose test. Talked to the doc about the baby some. It appears that they are moving my due date to Dec 10th instead of Dec 13-14th. That was according to the last u/s that we had. He said that the baby is in the 80th percentile of growth. He did also say that he was going to keep a close eye out on how big this baby will be. We are trying to avoid a c-section if possible, so he said that he will do a evaluation a little closer to the time. Said also if the baby is too big we may go in earlier then the 10th. We choose the 4th if possible as a date. Daddy's favorite number is 4 so that is the day we choose I think. But we will see. I'm a little disappointed as I still have not gotten any of the bedding that I ordered back in July. I hope it gets here soon. Although I still can't do anything yet as our furniture won't be here until mid Oct anyway. Luke is doing well in school. He really likes it and likes his teacher. The contractor's started on our basement I'm so excited, we have waited a long time for this. The wall track was layed yesterday and the studs are going in today I believe. I'm at work today so I can't wait to see it tonight. Keep everyone posted on the baby and the progress.

August 10, 2007

Hey Everyone! Well once again a slow week to report on. Not much going on. Luke just left with my mom and dad to go to my cousin's wedding in IN. Luke had never been so that will be exciting for him. I think they plan on visiting the speedway while down there as well. Luke starts school next week. I can't believe that the summer is over for him already. But he has had a good summer. We are now into our 22nd week of pregnancy, so far things are going great. Our baby boy is moving a great deal now. Quite during the day and very active when it's time for mom to go to sleep, and is a very nice wake up call in the morning. Our basement is going to be started this next week so this weekend will be trying to prep for the construction crew. Once completed then we may start on the upstairs bedroom and baby's room. How Exciting!!!

August 1, 2007

This past week has been really slow, not much to report on. Saw my mother in law this weekend. She went shopping and bought all kinds of clothes for baby boy. They are sooo cute! Marc and I are still deciding on names as we can't agree. AT ALL!!!! I am at 21 weeks today and it is great, only 19 weeks left and we will be able to hold our little bundle of joy. I ordered the baby's bedding this week, can't wait for it to get here. There is so much to do and so little time to get it all done by. Our basment will start in two weeks, which means a home all in shambles until we can get things moved. I am looking forward to construction starting and finishing quickely, so I can do what I need to. Keep everyone posted on a name. I hope to agree on somthing soon.

July 24, 2007

It's official the verdict is in... IT'S A BOY!!!! The doc says the baby is doing well and is a big baby so far 12 ounces. I'm a little scared, this baby gets any bigger then 6 pounds 2 ounces and I'm in trouble. That is how big Luke was, and I had a hard time with him. We don't have a name just yet as we can't agree. I will keep everyone posted on a name as soon as we know ourselves. I upload the baby's newest pics!

July 20, 2007

I'm really looking forward to this weekend. My mom and step dad are coming over for dinner on Saturday. We will probabily make them one of their favorite meals. Then on Sunday my mom and I are going to a baby show called "Getting Ready for Baby". They will be talking about Crib safety, and accessories, poisons, car seats, high chairs, walkers, infant seats, burns, recalled baby products list, what baby products are necessary. At the end of the show we are suppose to get a free gift valued at $100.00. So I thought what the heck lets go, can't hurt, I don't remember anything from my first baby so a brush up would be nice. Not to mention all the stuff that has changed since Luke was a baby. I'm looking forward to it. The most exciting is going to be Monday! We go back for our ultra sound. This time I hope they can tell us what the baby is. I would expect so since I'm almost 20 weeks now. After that my hubby and I are off to shop for baby funiture and then to go register for baby stuff. I will keep everyone posted on what we find out on Monday!!

July 13, 2007

I normally don't believe in "bad luck" maybe I should start. After I was helping a girlfriend with giving her my advise on where to put her couch, we got a bite to eat at Mc.D's. About an 1 hour 1/2 I started having these horrible pains in my right side at my rib cage but above my hip and somewhat in my back. After two hours of laying down I called the doctor. He said that I was suffering from a gall bladder attack! I have to say this is very very painful! I can usually tollerate a great deal but this is crazy. I asked what we can do for the moment and he said just to take some Tylanol and drink plenty of water, if the pain was still there to go to the woman's center at the hospital. Well I hate hospital's, dr.'s and well being just sick. I did not call him and I probabily should have but I keep thinking that with a good diet (instead of the all you can eat cause your pregnant diet) that we can keep this gall bladder calm until the baby gets here. I need to last as long as I can, I can't have any one cutting me open. Plus the last time I had to have a procedure it hurt like hell. I think when the baby comes I will get the "two for one" treatment get a baby and remove a gall bladder... the doc said this is very common. Now I really really want December to get here! Keep everyone posted on my progress.... :-O!

I'm 18 weeks today! I can't believe it. Seems just like yesterday I was telling Marc that we are pregnant. I really can't wait until we start to shop a little for him/her. Only 11 days left and we hope to find out! Not much has really been going on this week, for the most part it has been pretty quite. I have been just doing some things here and there. I need to get back into working on this baby's blanket. For the last couple of days I have been lazy in not working on it, but I have been tired at night. The St. Louis air had been really hot out. Today they say we are suppose to have some mild temps. Good we need a break. Talked to my mom this morning. I'm suppose to go help her on Saturday morning. I think I will bring Luke with me that way he can play in the pool for a while before he leaves to go to his other grandma's for summer vacation. Which reminds me I should probabily start packing his stuff, he leaves Saturday afternoon and will be gone for two weeks. They are suppose to go one a trip to a lake they visit each year. Him and his dad go fishing! Sounds like fun for a boy!

I just love watching little children play. Today we went to my neighbors house, it was their first daughters 2nd birthday . We had the best time eating, watching sports, eating ice cream and watching the children play. Our neighbor's expressed how excited they were for us that we are expecting (they just had a 2nd daughter born at the end of May). It was a good day! Later in the evening we sat out on our back patio with our other neightbors. The guys had a couple of cigars and some beer and just shot the crap, me I just watched, listened and ate Crispy Kreme donut holes.

Last night we hung outside with our neighbors. We took the kids up to the clubhouse to decorate their bikes for the subdivision parade. After returning we BBQ'ed outside. Oh was the food so good. Our crazy guys lit off fireworks. Bored with just looking at the fireworks up in the air they decided to blow up a watermelon, two to be exact. Remembering last year's fun with the old mailbox (which they blew up) our neighbor who was telling everyone he wanted a new mailbox, he was this years victim. Hee Hee! Well we were just helping him out. We shall see what he has to say in the AM. I'm sure he will just be upset that he was not outside to see it for himself. Thank goodness we got it on video.

I love fireworks! Tonight we sat out in the driveway with all our neighbors and watched fireworks while eating bluberry pie! I just love our neighbors they are great people. It's really hard to find people such as them. Each one of us have no problems watching each other's children just like they were your own.

The baby's blanket it is really coming along. I completed quite a bit this weekend. Don't get me wrong I still have a long way to go. It's a fun project.

Today was a fun day. After cleaning the house from top to bottom, Marc & I went to a baby store to look at baby furniture. Although we had in mind what we wanted it was really nice to see it in person. I love it. After the furniture store I was treated to lunch and then we hit the mall. What fun! I bought two tops at the maternity store then came home. When I got home I had a sweet surprise from my mom, more clothes! I love her she is sooo good to me and the baby. I can't wait until we go and register for the baby. After getting home I sat outside with the dogs before coming in for the evening.

My mom came by last night, it was good to see her, although she lives so close I really don't take advantage that she is right down the street. She said yesterday to me that since the baby won't tell us what she/he she calls the baby Peek-A-Boo! I think it is soo cute! The name will stick I know it.

Last night my darling husband, Marc made blackened steaks for dinner. I have come to the decision that there are just some things I can stomach and some things I can't. It's funny how some of your favorite foods you just can't stand right now. I do hope that goes away.

After dinner my husband took us out for ice cream. After we returned we spent some time with our son and watched "The Office" and "Studio 60".

I worked some on the blanket last night as well. I finished the teddy bears head, on to the rest of him. I can't wait to see how the is blanket looks when it is finished. It's coming along.

Well back to work today. Yesterday was nice to have off to spend it with my family.

Did not do much last night, well atleast the stuff I wanted to do. My husband made dinner for us, bugers and were they good and hit the spot.

Seems like everyone here at the office was on pins and needles waiting for me to come in. First questions out of their mouth, "So what is it boy or girl?" I have to say they were all disappointed when I told them we still don't know. Right now this is the only baby out at this office, unlike my main office were I guess everyone drank the water. It's exciting!

Ok we just got back from the doctors Ok all you would never believe this... the baby was breech with it's knees up. It would not let us see what he/she is! I'm so bummed but we have another apt on July 23rd. We did however see both little hands up against it's little cheek like it was sleeping.

OK today is the big day I hope that the doctors can tell us what we are having. I have 2 1/2 hours left until we leave. Keep everyone posted!!

Tonight I will start on the baby's blanket again. I have been working on it since the beginning of the year. I started it thinking that well if we never had another baby it would make for a nice gift. however, we were blessed on April 10th when we found out that we could keep the blanket for our selves. It is a hand stitched cross stitched blanket. This is only my third one. The very first one went to my son, Luke as a special gift just from his mom. I pulled it out when I found out that I was expecting again. The second went to a dear friend and my husband's business partner for their first child. To be honest they are more then just friends/business partner they are like family. The third will go to this baby. I'm so excited for the end result. Which probabily won't be until close to the due date. These blankets take a long time to make. Don't know what else I will do maybe sit and spend some time with my son and my husband.
