May 12th
How can it still be cold! It's May 12th! I know it sounds terrible but I am so tired of being pregnant and it really hasn't been a bad pregnancy. I told the baby that her mommy can only go until week 38. So hopefully she will be a good girl and will listen to her mommy. Don't you just wish you could take the baby off for a couple of hours. I can't believe I have been pregnant for eight months! I wonder if the next pregnancies will feel this long.
April 4th
Well it's still cold here in Philly. Hopefully just a couple more weeks. I am feeling huge and apparently looking it also. People gawk when I tell them I am due in July. "Are you having twins" has been asked several times. I've only gained 20 pounds! Geez! The baby is starting to get really heavy. I can't imagine how big I will be in another 15 weeks. The stretch marks have also started. So I mourned my pre-baby body and remembered all the fun times we had together. Now it's a mommy body and I'm becoming okay with that. I can't wait to meet my little girl. I am too impatient for this!!
February 21st
It's a GIRL! Margaret Jean Albert but we're calling her Maggie. So excited!! Everything was perfect on the u/s. So far I've only gained about 10 pounds which I think is about normal. My baby belly is getting bigger every day! My DH can't wait to have "daddy's little girl". I can't wait for the weather to warm up. I can't stand the cold.
January 3rd
I had my check up yesterday and luckily my blood pressure has leveled out. It was 120/74. I really focused on relaxing in the waiting room. I closed my eyes and took slow deep breaths. I lost three pounds which I knew would happen since I have been so sick for so long. I guess in the scheme of things three pounds isn't that bad. I'm now trying to make it up. We also got to hear the heart beat. Totally amazing. I thought my husband's jaw was going to hit the floor. We get to find out the sex of the baby the second week of February. It seems so close. My husband and I are sure it's a girl. Still pretty tired. I have about six good hours of energy a day and then I burn out. Also, the lower back pain finally started. I knew it would be coming sooner or later. I have been dreading it. I really screwed up my lower back playing lacrosse in college and I'm scared this pregnancy is going to aggrevate it again. All these women keep telling me these horrible stories about their back pain while they were pregnant so now I'm terrified.
December 31st
11 weeks and 5 days. I thought maybe I had turned a corner on the morning sickness. I had gone six days with out throwing up. Well today I was brushing my teeth and that was the end of my streak. Oh well. I also had a UTI over Christmas but I think that is cleared up now. Maternity pants are so amazing! I'm not even showing yet but the bloating was killing me. Its so nice to sit here without buttons and zippers digging into my stomach. I got a blood pressure monitor from my mother in law. When I'm in bed my pulse and bp are normal. When I'm not in bed it is crazy. The exhaustion is getting to be a little annoying. I wish I could have cloned myself before I got pregnant so I could accomplish all the things that need to be done instead of lying around in bed wishing I could do them. I'm not the lay around type. I need every thing to be the way I like it. To have my house look like a tornado went through it would never happen before I was pregnant. I am trying very hard to not wear myself out (results in vomiting) or lift heavy items (just moved into our new house a month ago and there are still boxes everywhere). My husband, unfortunately is the lay around type. I didn't realize until now how much he depended on me to motivate him to get stuff done. I just keep telling myself that I just have to get through my first trimester and every thing will be fine.
December 19th
Now in week 10 I still have morning sickness. Praying it goes away before Christmas.
December 10th
I just had my first ultra sound yesterday. On the calendar I am 11 weeks but according to the u/s I am 8 weeks and 6 days. Still throwing up. The baby's heartbeat was 173 bpm. Does that seem high to anyone else?
