Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted. I'm 38 1/2 weeks now...not much longer! I have been 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced since week 36. The baby's head has dropped... at a +1 to +2 station! I got my membranes swept on Tuesday April 22nd because my husband had a day off on the 23rd so he could have flown home Tuesday night or anytime on Wednesday. I had a lot of cramping and contractions, but they did not become consistent and stronger over time. We went to labor and delivery to make sure, but were sent home with some Ambien. That is amazing stuff. I couldn't even see straight within 5 minutes and fell asleep shortly after that.
So I guess our little baby wasn't ready to come out, but that's okay. Now we're just waiting to see what happens. My due date is May 8th and I am in one of my best friend's wedding on May 10th so we were hoping to have our little one before then, but you never know. We have set an induction date for May 12th since my husband's next day off is May 14th and he can miss only 2 baseball games. That way he can get here the night before the induction, be here for the whole birth and not have to fly back to join the team until May 15th.
I had been really nervous about the baby but now I'm getting excited. We finally have picked out names for our little one if it's a boy or a girl. It took us forever to figure out a boy's name, but I love our decisions:)

I am 32 weeks now! So exciting! I can't believe I only have around 8 weeks left. I had my first doctor appointment with my new doctor in Wisconsin and I really like her. So glad everything worked out so well:) She was great at answering all my questions, very patient and didn't seem like she was busy/in a hurry to get our appointment over with. My husband is in Beijing, China right now with his baseball team, but he arrives back in the states in a couple days. Unfortunately, he still has to finish spring training and then travel directly to the team so I won't see him until the end of April. He has 1 day off so he's going to try to fly in after his game on the 21st and spend the day with us the 22nd and leave early on the 23rd. I want my baby to be ready to come out, but it would be great if I could go into labor when he was here so he could be there for the birth!
But I know everything will work out for the best and I can't wait for all 3 of us to be together!
I've had a fairly easy pregnancy so far and am trying to stay active because I really think it has helped. I continued to run until I was about 6 1/2 months pregnant then had to switch to walking because it became too difficult and hurt my low belly. I have also been able to do elliptical machine and stationary bike so I can mix it up. I haven't had any problems continuing to lift weights. I want to be strong in labor and delivery and not have to use any pain medications if at all possible. I'm not against using an epidural if it's too painful though. I need to start stretching more because my muscles have gotten tight and achy.
The only problems I have had in pregnancy are some backpains. I've had some bad upper back pains if I am on my feet or even sitting up for too long.
We are waiting to find out the sex of the baby but I look for anything that might tell me what it is. The hair on my legs has virtually stopped growing. Also, the baby's heartrate was high at first (always 150-160) until my 28th week when it dropped down to 140, then to 135 at my 32nd week. I love that it will be a surprise, but we definitely have a lot of yellow and green baby stuff!

So it's been awhile and a lot has happened! My husband left on February 13th for Spring training. I had my last Doctor's appointment in Kentucky and took my glucose tolerance test, but haven't gotten the results yet. Everything looks good with the baby. For a while it seemed like my uterus was measuring small, but at my last appointment I was at exactly 29 weeks, right on track. Our little one is moving like crazy and I love it! He/she will be pushing on the side of my belly and I'll put my hand there and can tell it's a little hand or foot, or his/her big head!
I've been really luck with the pregnancy so far. Not much trouble or pain. I have to get up a lot at night to use the bathroom and I get really congested, but nothing major. I have more upper back pain then lower back pain.
I had my first baby shower on Saturday and it was a blast. I got a lot of cute stuff including my stroller system, Pack n' Play, and the little spa bathtub that my husband wanted for the baby! We also got lots of yellow and green clothes, blankets, and towels, but they really are cute!
I moved from Kentucky to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on Sunday to finish up the pregnancy at home since my husband won't be around and I have no family in Kentucky. I'll be here until the baby is born and my husband will come visit for a few days but then has to go back for the rest of the baseball season. I'm going to join him with our baby wherever he is as soon as possible...hopefully about 4 weeks after the birth.

Hi Everyone!
We are so excited to be expecting our first baby! It was a little bit of a surprise, but we were going to start trying soon anyways. My wonderful husband and I have been married for just over 2 years. We have a crazy life and move a lot, but we don't get bored with it:)
My husband plays minor league baseball and travels all the time so this pregnancy is going to difficult towards the end. He leaves February 13th for Spring Training and is allowed to come see me once I go into labor. But he can only stay for 2 days:( I'm a little nervous about doing it all by myself for the first month, but at least I will have family nearby. Then after a month, I will be able to join him wherever he is and our family will be reunited!!!
We are not finding out the sex of our baby, so I can't wait to see what it is!
I'd love to chat with anyone and take advice from you all!
