This is my first pregnancy. I'm very excited at this point. I've waited such a long time for this moment to happen for me. Thanks to our families for all their support!

11/29/07 - 10 weeks....

I worked out for the first time yesterday in a month. I actually felt great. I hope I can keep this up. Nausea is going away. yeah!!!! I still crash around 9pm, but those of you who know me that is nothing new. I'm really working on drinking alot of water and cutting down my dP to one a day. I haven't told the majority of my friends yet. We are still waiting to make sure that we are in the clear. It is really tough though.

12/15/07 - 13 weeks....

Well, everything has been going good so far. We have told all of our friends and family. Everyone is extremely excited for us. I'm starting to show, but only if your looking. Mostly I just feel fat. I've only gained about 3 lbs but my pants say otherwise. It snowed today. It is really pretty out. We are supposed to get more tonight. I go to the doctor on Wednesday. I can't wait. I just want to hear the heartbeat at this point.

12/19/07 - 14 weeks...

Today we heard the heartbeat with a portable monitor. It was so cool. It brought tears to my eyes. It finally made this pregnancy REAL. The doctors visit took 2.5 hours OMG. Actually 30 min of it was just giving blood. I tried to warn them about my veins, but noone listens. Chris was ready to blow a gasket. After 4 tries we finally got a enough blood to run all the tests. I look like a druggie, but I'll do anything for my peanut. I get my ultrasound next week.

12/27/07 - 15 weeks...

Today we had our first ultrasound. How precious was that. Our peanut was showing off for everyone. She was jumping, waving her arms and kicking her legs. It was so much fun to watch. It really made this pregnancy real. They were calling our peanut the 'wild child'. Since they were trying to do one of the tests where they have to measure they were having trouble with my restless peanut. I had to lay on my side for 5 min. Then they said to have a talk with my baby. So, I had my first disciplinary talk with peanut(how weird was that, chris was wondering what I was doing). Needless to say, it worked wonders. My peanut fell asleep BUT in the wrong position. Then we had to wake her up and mover her around to get the measurement, finally we got it. Giving the blood that goes with this test was worse than last time!!!!.

1/5/08 - 15 weeks...

I wish I could sleep. I'm so tired and have been for months now. I think that I would have so much more energy through the day if I could just sleep at night. Still trying to find a scanner to scan the ultrasounds in. Walgreens won't do it and ours at home isn't working. Frustration!!!

1/16/08 -16 weeks 5 days....

Today we went to the doctor's for another appt. Everthing is going good. I seemed to have lost a pound, but she said that is fine. I get my next ultrasound in 2 weeks, Jan 30th. I can't wait. I've been in a crappy mood lately, not sure why. I hate taking it out on others. I'm ready to go baby shopping (I need therapy)!!!

1/19/08 - 17 weeks...

Today we felt the baby kick. It was so cool. I was just laying on the bed on my tummy relaxing for a moment. Chris came up and he could feel it too. Finally, what a great feeling.

1/30/08 - 19 weeks...

Today we went to the Dr. for our second ultrasound. It seemed like there were a hundred measurements that they were taking. Of course, we have such a cooperative (NOT) baby it took 20+ minutes to do the test. Naturally, the baby wouldn't get into proper position so we have to go back in two weeks and finish the test. The right side of the heart looks great. We'll do the left side next time. We were also supposed to find out the sex at this visit. Someone was being very modest (taking after mom of course). Baby was sitting crosslegged with its rump down in my cervix. We bounced the baby around, but couldn't get a great shot until I laughed. The tech said she was 80% sure that she was a girl. Within 5 mins, the tech went from 80-90-95% sure it was a girl. (we will confirm that next time as well). We are very excited. I can't wait to start shopping.

2/12/08 - 20 wks 5 days...

I can finally feel my baby every day now. What a great feeling. I'm sure I'll be eating those words soon. I've just finished registering at Babies R Us. What an ordeal! There was just so much stuff to go through and so many choices. I could only do it for a couple hours at a time and my back would call it quits for the day. I'm going to the Dr. tomorrow to finish the ultrasound and confirm the sex. It better be a girl at this point otherwise I'll have to go back and change all the colors. OMG.

3/20/08 - 26 wks

Delaney is definately a wild child. She is very active. I just makes me laugh all the time. I'm finding it hard to concentrate on much at work. As soon, as I feel her, my mind wanders. Everything has been going well. I still have the horrible pulled muscle in my stomach. It's been 3 months of pain. I can't get it to go away. Not much I can do except lay back on the couch (real healthy). We set up the crib last week. It looks wonderful. I already washed the sheets and put them on the bed. Yes, I know I"ll have to wash them again to get the dust off. But, I just couldn't resist.

4/9/08 - 29 wks

I had my Dr. appt today. All is still good. I had my glucose test today. The drink wasn't so bad. I should get the results tomorrow. Dr. wasn't worried about it. My belly is the perfect size 28.5 cm. I've gained 17 lbs so far. She said that is just fine. I just gained 10lbs of that in the last month. (that freaked me out). Delaney is still a crazy little chic. Hormones are going crazy. I wish I felt more in control.

4/29/08 - 31.5 wks

I started interviewing pediatricians today. I have to say I was more nervous than she was. How wierd!! It did go really well and she put me at ease very quickly, which was a great sign for me. I have 3-4 more next week. Delaney is still very, very active. It is crazy to watch my belly going crazy. I go back to the Dr. again next week. I've been going every two weeks now. My measurements are right on, which is pretty cool. I still hear from people that when I sit down, I still don't look pregnant. Just wait until I stand up. Then she just pops out!!.
