Lets see...we're in Kansas & I'm still trying to settle. I'm 24 & about to be a mom of two. I've been married for a little over 3 years & it just keeps getting better. Claire is my wild child & will do anything for a laugh. She's a daredevil & has zero fear. I'm anxious to meet Carter & see if he looks just like his Daddy, too. I can't wait to see if he'll be as crazy & fun as Claire is!I miss Taco Bueno, I'm becoming addicted to chocolate cokes, & I'm already thinking about my first drink post-baby. I'm a mixed bag. When you get in my car, you never know if you'll hear Fox News or rap music. I know almost every song by the BackYardigans & can probably sing the Wonder Pets song in my sleep. I wish I was a funny girl who could tell a good joke, but it hasn't happened yet.

Only one more week til Carter gets here!!

05/20/08: How can it be that in 12 days, my precious little baby will be 1? Is it legal for time to fly this fast? I write her letters every month & honestly, this month was the hardest. It took me longer this month to put the words on paper, to wipe the tears from my eyes. I can't believe I've been a momma for a year now! Claire is the most beautiful, precious, perfect person I've ever had in my life. More than I could have ever imagined or wanted from a baby. Carter will have the same spell over me & I can't wait for it.

06/07/08: Well, Claire's birthday has come & gone & I am still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that I have a baby who is already one! If you asked me 6 years ago where I saw myself, my answer would not have been 24, married, a precious daughter, & a son on the way. I still can't believe that in 4 months, I will be 24 with two babies! And, I never would have thought I'd celebrate Claire's first birthday 5 1/2 months pregnant! Claire is a little hurricane. She is all over the place, into everything she can get her chubby little hands on, & making me laugh almost the entire time she's doing it. The other day she got in my dresser & somehow got a bra strap around her neck & was walking around the house with it hanging off of her neck. She says "hi, bye, mama, daddy, duh (duck), dah (dog), cak cak (quack quack), oof oof (woof woof) (AND! She uses those two phrases appropriately-if you ask her what the duck/dog says), bi (bite), eye eye (bye bye), iiiide (outside)", she waves, has the cutest laugh you've ever heard, can point out nose, ears, & occasionally mouth, when she is ready for bed, she will grab my hand & lead me to her room, can go up & down her slide by herself, loves anything to do with the outdoors, & has recently decided she loves the pool! The sweetest thing she does though, is when I ask her where baby brother is, she pats my tummy. I am so glad I have all of you girls to talk to on here & I can't believe how many of us are in the same boat right now...barely toddlers & we are doing it again! I have a feeling I have no clue what I've gotten myself into!

oh lordy I can't imagine! I'm to the point that I wouldn't cry on the floor if I got pregnant but I dont' want to be right now....but congrats to you! I'm on bc lord I hope it works!!

lol Oh woow your pregnant again?? I didn't know that!! Congrats!! How far along are you?? Were you surprised or planned? This crying when being layed down just recently started. She used to love me pulling her shirt off her head. In fact that was one of the only ways we got her to laugh at first...anyhow i think she just hates being layed down...and her arms being pushed through things b/c mommy is in control and not miss priss!! lol!!

Oh my goodness, is he ever!! He likes to be on his feet whenever possible. Definitely cruising the furniture and pulling himself up on anything he can get his little hands on! I think you'll have your hands full when the new one comes too. My sister had two girls one year and 9 days apart from each other....all I have to say is, Good Luck!! But it's sooooo worth it!

wow he'll be bringing in the big bucks! 7 years will be worth it! Yea girl I'm right there with you I'm sure I got enough credits to get some kind of associates or something lol! I don't know how many credits I have but I know I went for 2 `1/2 years soo that counts for something ;) I dont' have the desire or motivation for school. All I have motivation for is to raise my lil girl and work so that she can have nice things and so can I occasionally. I'm happy with my life right now....and dont' need school right now. I've got a secure job w/ opportunities that I plan to stay at forever if I can :) Are you a sahm?

Yea eww school all day don't miss those days at all !! I didn't finish school but I will one day. I did about 2 1/2 years and thats enough to make me not want to go back for a while. I was going to a tough school and it stressed me beyond belief! What is chase going for?

lol! Oh, mine is stubborn in the fact that she insists that I give her her cup....mind you she can do it herself...I've seen her do, she's done several over that past couple weeks...but will take it and shove it at me and grunt...and cry if I don't give it her..LOL! That's one thing she's stubborn at. :x lol. -- oh she had her first mcdonalds cheeseburger that other day...she fed herself the almost the WHOLE thing...just a piece leftover! LOL she loved it!

Hey atleast he entertains... some don't even do that.... well see.. he has to do maintenance b/c he has her alone 5 days a week from the time she gets up until 2 pm when my mom gets her....although sometimes on the weekends he feels like I need to do all the feeding and diapering sometimes I dont' mind and sometimes I say you do it..he goes through phases with how good or lazy he wants to be on the weekends. He's been so great lately with her being sick though he's rocked her to sleep and stayed up with her every night she kept waking up b/c I gotta work early and he goes to work at 4 pm. - midnight. I gotta admit I am lucky. If it weren't for our diff work schedules and having to split up our time with her between and two of us and my mom, I don' t know if things would be this way or that they'd be as close as they are. They get that one on one alone time everyday ya know...so that helps

oh, I love when she shakes her booty, it cracks me up! oh wow, I got away realllllly easy on the bottle thing. I honestly never forced it, but I introduced to her once every couple days when she was 4 months...at 5 months I showed it to her once a day...then when started to suck out of it, I tried to give it to her at one meal, if she every turned her nose up once, I gave her her bottle...but would try it daily. Then one day about 5 1/2-6 months old she took it for a whole meal without 'asking' for her bottle. Then I moved it to two meals a day..when she took to that well, I did 3 meals...I did that and gave her a bottle for nighttime...I was gonna do that until about 10-12 months old...however, a week before she turned 7 months, she began to refuse her bottle...I tried for 5 nights with no success, she refused it...she would take it from her cup...but not a bottle..so I figured, I wouldn't fight her..and we just stopped the bottle..she never asked for it and has never missed it. So that's how I did it. --oh lol, about what people say about her looking like her daddy....join the club! LOL! Regan doesn't look like me...everyone friends, family, and strangers say that she looks like her daddy. If he's not around...they say 'she must look like her daddy!' LOL! Oh well...she's got my smarts!! LOL

Hi Claires momma. Sleeping is an ongoing challenge for us as well. My daughter knows how to fall asleep on her own but if we put her down too early it might result in a screeming match. Not sure why you all of a sudden have this problem. You might want to talk to your doctor to make sure she doesn't have an ear infection - laying down position usually hurts a lot for them. Also you want to be consistent in what you do at bed/nap times. If sometimes you rock her to sleep at this age she will scream until you come back and do it again. Try Dr. Ferber method. It is less cruel than just letting them cry. Good luck.

Glad everything's going well!! It's soooo exciting to be pregnant! Zachary just turned 8 months this past saturday. I can't believe how quickly time is flying by! Your kids are beautiful! What gorgeous blue eyes they have! Sounds like Claire will be walking soon? I think mine will be going that route soon...then I'm REALLY done for!

Hey, ambrielle weighs 19 lbs 12 oz. she's a lot bigger than the pics on here...their so old. I need to update asap..she was like 4 1/2 months in them and she's 7 1/2 now lol...we've mastered piggies and pony tails now. That was our first pig tail attempt lol..you should see how her daddy does them lol soo funny their soo crooked and hair sticking out everywhere lol!!

I thought I was going to have a girl this time too just because I was hoping for the other but low and behold there was a little peter at the ultra sound! I was so happy. I am so glad that I never got sick. I feel bad for everyone who does. That sucks. My best friend is 9 weeks pregnant and just found out this week that she is having twins! We thought she might because she has already had to take out her belly button ring and get maternity pants. She has a brother and sister that are twins and her mom said when she was oregnant with the twins was the only pregnancy where she started showing immediately. She is pretty freaked out! But excited because her and her boyfriend have been trying for about 6 months to get pregnant!

no, I don't, they live in Texas right now, about 11 hours away from us. But my stepson will be gone for a couple weeks..and she just doesn't feel she can care for her daughter and work..so she might be sending her out here to the grandparents. If they move back home in couple years, I'll be keeping her alot if she is working. She and Regan get along fine...they'll do better once they get a bit older...she is right on track developmentally and Regan is advanced...so Regan is far far ahead of her..so they don't really have anything in common quite yet...but they will. They'll always be family and be the same age..so it'll be fun for them

That's great! We're just having a party here at our house...for family and friends. We'll cook out and just have some fun. My brother and sister are younger so they'll enjoy it too...and they have friends whose parents we're also friends of...so they'll will be plenty of kids to help play with Regan..haha. And I'm not for sure yet, but I MIGHT be caring for my stepgranddaughter at the same time..so it might be busy. She'll be 10 and half months when Regan is turning 1...and her mom might be sending her out to me for a short time..don't know yet tho.

uh, my husband doesn't want anymore...well, it's more than simply that.. he wasn't gonna have even get married again...much less have anymore kids, his son was grown. But he got married again...and even decided that we could have a baby..but 1..I agree..I was fine with that. But you know a woman! haha! I think it scares him more...with his age and the financial concerns of one, much less two children. So, I don't see it happening...but while he knows I'd like another, I try to not show it TOO much, b/c he feels bad and would give in b/c he feels bad..and I don't want that. So do you have a 'feeling' on what it could be...boy/girl?

Hey! Looks like your little is growing up fast too! So how are you feeling? You ladies are making me sooo jealous! LOL! I want another baby..but it's not gonna happen...watching ya'll kind of makes sad, ya know... but I'm so very happy for ya'll..and it's exciting, it reminds me of what a wonderful pregnancy and birth I had!! And what a wonderful baby girl I have!
