March 25th

ITS A BOY!!! So happy to find out I'm having a little boy! We went to the 3d ultrasound and got some good pictures but not to many of the face because his head was down so we get to go back for a complimentary one to get some better pictures in two weeks. I'm actually happy his head was down since that means i get to see him again in 2 weeks and that will probably be the last time til I give birth.

I had my baby shower this weekend and the show up was great. It was so disorganized and hardly anyone r.s.v.p.ed . Really the only ones that did were the people saying they weren't coming. So we had no idea who was coming and if there would be enough food and games and such. BUT the show-up was good. About 30 showed. I got a ton of things so it takes alot off my list. I know I only had my shower at just 27 weeks but I'm happy I had it that early since it gives me alot of time to get the things I didn't receive at the shower.

February 2nd

My sister told my family that I am pregnant so they finally know. They took it sooooo well. i honestly thought they would want nothing more to do with me and i would be suck with no support from my family but they are excited. they want me to come back home. I live on the other side of Canada. They can't wait to see me and I feel great. A great weight from my shoulders has been lifted. So i think i am going to move back home. i will be leaving justin for a bit but i think he understands. i miss my family way too much. and i found out my sister is pregnant. about a month behind me so i can go through the achs and pains of pregnancy with her. Something else that made my day better is i felt the baby kick three times. right when i got justin to feel it the baby stopped. What a great day!

February 1st

I went for my 20 week ultrasound and the baby was curled up in a ball so I won't get to find out the sex for at least another month and a half. It is kind of disapointing because I was counting down the days til this ultrasound. I wanted to start buying baby clothes and things for the baby room. But at least I got to find out that the baby is doing great and is very healthy. I still haven't felt the baby move but for both the ultrasounds that I have gone to it was pretty lazy so i probably won't feel it for another month.

January 2nd

So i went to my first ultrasound today and saw my little guy!..finally! I've never had a bigger smile on my face then when i saw him/her. i went in thinking i was on my 14th week but got lucky and found out im on my 15th week! im booking another appointment for week 18 (in 3 weeks) to find out the sex of the baby!! so excited!

December 31st

So its been a month since my last post and its definitly been a a slow month. Justin and I told his parents on christmas day with a bib saying i love my grandma and i love my grandpa. i thought they would take it very hard since me and justin have only been dating half a year and we aren't married but they are so excited. they can't wait and are hoping for a granddaughter. they both cried when they found out which made me cry then justin cry. it was a pretty emotional time. I haven't yet told my family but plan on telling them in the next month with a package in the mail. I'm going for my first u/s in 2 days on Jan. 2nd. so excited! I don't think its really hit justin or even me that we are having a child so this u/s will definitly get things going.

Hello everyone! I am now in week 9 of my pregnancy and found out I was pregnant at week four so this pregnancy kind of feels like it's dragging on. When I found out that I was pregnant, I was devastated because coming from a very religious family being pregnant and not married don't go together. I'm pulling through it though and getting more excited to bring this child into this world everyday. I haven't yet told my family about this but plan on doing so after christmas in a month or so. I'm not as worried about being pregnant as some teenagers may be because I have an amazing boyfriend that is just as excited to have this child as me and fiancially Justin is well off. I've been caring for children since I was a child coming from a family with 7 siblings and now working in a daycare where I love going to work each day.I'm very happy to discover this website and read your stories so I don't feel so alone through it all.

Everybody gains weught differently sweetheart. I dont think theres anything wrong with where you're gaining the weight as long as the baby is getting what he needs. It could just be water weight and if thats the case soon after you deliver it will go away. If its not, if you are planning on brest feeding, within about 2 months time you should be almost back to your pre-pregnancy weight. As far as the stretch marks go...it happens try putting lotion on when your skin is still damp from the shower or use vaseline for added moisture to keep from itching so much. Congratulations:)

Amberizzle - Saturday, 19 April
Hun, I'm not even a teen anymore and that still happened to me with my friends. I'm 20 (will be 21 in June) and almost ALL my friends completely abandoned me once they found out I was pregnant. I was really upset and hurt at first, but then I realized something really important. Pregnancy will weed out the people you don't need in your life. I'm so happy now that those people are gone and won't be part of me or my baby's life. For instance, many of my friends were drug addicts or just not very good people, but I could never make myself leave them because I always thought I could help them. Getting pregnant made me realize I was wrong and that they didn't need or want me around. I have a couple friends left and I'm very happy that they're around. It really showed me who was important to me and who wasn't. Take care, and I'm here if you ever need to talk.

LAURASUE - Friday, 18 April
I get that vibrating feeling too hun and I don't seem to feel proper kicks anymore. I don't know what it s - unless hiccups. I wish I cud feel baby moving more tho but midwife says as long as u feel some kind of movement ten times a day its ok xx

bellababy85 - Friday, 18 April

Thanks for the reply. That's interesting about the ice cube. I'll have to see how that will work on one of those hott days. It's snowing out here today and the house is a little chilly so the ice cube won't be the greatest idea today but I will check it out eventually and see if it works. You are so very lucky your little one has not made it up to your ribs yet. It gets soooo uncomfortable.

Steffy-cant-wait-for-June!!! - Sunday, 13 April
hi... i just read your post on the safe foods forum... my doc said store bought mayo is ok. As long as it is made with pasteurized eggs and stored the way it is supposed to be (refrigerated)... hope this helps! Congrats on your little boy!

cait - Friday, 11 April
Thank You!! I am still in college I went back when my daughter was 6 months and take 3 classes all at night or online. It is hard but with the support of family you will do great. take care.

JayW - Thursday, 10 April
I hear you! I gained 10lbs this month, too. I was so upset. Up until then, I had only gained 14 total. My doctor told me that the 7th month is never nice to women...and he said b/c of my frame he is comfortable with me gaining up to 40. I am trying hard to avoid that at all costs...I gained 60(!) with my daughter, and I refuse to do that again!
I am trying to reach for pineapple and apples (even if I dip them in carmel!) when I need something sweet.
Hope that helps you!

JRA - Wednesday, 9 April
If you want sweets and icecream (and doc isnt saying you cant at all then...) GO FOR IT! just keep it in moderation. I went on a 'sweets binge' last month and gained a bunch of weight but cut back cause I knew it wasnt healthy, even though that is all i wanted :) But dont try to lose any weight. ENJOY yourself. Take care!

cherbear - Wednesday, 9 April
Whatever you do-- don't go on a diet right now! You can cut back-- but if you want ice cream...have a scoop!! I hope your doc didn't tell you to diet.

Hello, how u doing?we havent spoke in a while! well i had my GD test and havent heard anything its been a week now so i assume everything is ok cos they said if i didnt hear anything then its good news. I was worried bout not having a GD test done cos my midwife had not mentioned it but when i went to see my consultant he asked me to get one done, he had a list of catagories which if u fall into one of them u get the test done if not ur not at as much risk and they dont do the test, i fell into the 3 or more miscarriages catagory! my dr and midwife had said i didnt need it but i trust my consultant more so i had it done (ur not missing much) and all ok hopefully!! xx

sexymama021 - Wednesday, 9 April
lol...I know what you mean about reflections! I noticed the same thing the other day when I was out! We are really starting to pop now I guess! :) Now all we have to do is watch out for strangers who are touchy feely lol! I remember with my daughter I was like due in 4 weeks...cashiering and some lady started rubbing my belly...I'm like WTF? haha

scherzy - Tuesday, 8 April
Hey, No i didnt need a medical reason, I just told him i have family coming in from hawaii and l.a and i wanted it to be more scheduled. Ive heard that some doctors are different tho and dont allow a week early. And thats the earliest they will do it, is a week. Anyways.. Just tell your doctor that you have family coming in on a certain date. Congrats on your lil boy!! :)

heathersprk - Tuesday, 8 April
I just wanted to add in about the GD. There really are no symptoms. Its a weird thing. They say you are thirsty and pee a lot but so does every preggo woman really. Thats why they recommend testing everyone.

sunshinebaby - Tuesday, 8 April
Some of the symptoms for high or low blood sugar are the same. They are fatigue, blurry vision, nervousness, the shakes, thirst, etc. This is my third pregnancy. I had GD with both of my girls and was able to control it with a diet. One weighed 6-12 & the other weighed 7-10. I gained 15 lbs with the first & 17 with the second. So basically those pegnancies were a success. Now I am 39 & having a boy. The diet didn't work this time. After a 5 day stay in the hospital, I have to give myself 2 shots of insulin a day. I have to go to the Doctor once a week & have an ultrasound once a month until the baby arrives. The Doctor suspects I had diabetes before I got pregnant this time. Which is very possible since it does run in my family. They do check for sugar in your urine at every visit. Your Doctor must not see a problem. He/She will eventually check you for GD, but you are young, so you will probably be ok. If you do have it, you will probably be able to manage it with a diet. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Take care & let me know how it goes.

AprilChristine - Tuesday, 8 April
I really didn't have any symptoms at all. they say fatique, thirsty a lot, nausea, frequent urnination. 3 outa four of those is normal for pregnancy I thought. lol. but I was just diagnosed today. if undetected it could cause your baby to be really large, and have health complications. Suprised your dr. did not mention it yet.

aubreyd08 - Monday, 7 April
Hi from week 34! I just saw your question about GD symptoms. I was diagnosed about a month ago with GD... This is my 4th pregnancy (I have 3 boys - ages 16, 14 & 12) and never had GD with any of them. I had NO symptoms whatsoever and was actually very surprised to find out that I actually have it. There is no history of diabetes in my family.
