March 25th

ITS A BOY!!! So happy to find out I'm having a little boy! We went to the 3d ultrasound and got some good pictures but not to many of the face because his head was down so we get to go back for a complimentary one to get some better pictures in two weeks. I'm actually happy his head was down since that means i get to see him again in 2 weeks and that will probably be the last time til I give birth.

I had my baby shower this weekend and the show up was great. It was so disorganized and hardly anyone r.s.v.p.ed . Really the only ones that did were the people saying they weren't coming. So we had no idea who was coming and if there would be enough food and games and such. BUT the show-up was good. About 30 showed. I got a ton of things so it takes alot off my list. I know I only had my shower at just 27 weeks but I'm happy I had it that early since it gives me alot of time to get the things I didn't receive at the shower.

February 2nd

My sister told my family that I am pregnant so they finally know. They took it sooooo well. i honestly thought they would want nothing more to do with me and i would be suck with no support from my family but they are excited. they want me to come back home. I live on the other side of Canada. They can't wait to see me and I feel great. A great weight from my shoulders has been lifted. So i think i am going to move back home. i will be leaving justin for a bit but i think he understands. i miss my family way too much. and i found out my sister is pregnant. about a month behind me so i can go through the achs and pains of pregnancy with her. Something else that made my day better is i felt the baby kick three times. right when i got justin to feel it the baby stopped. What a great day!

February 1st

I went for my 20 week ultrasound and the baby was curled up in a ball so I won't get to find out the sex for at least another month and a half. It is kind of disapointing because I was counting down the days til this ultrasound. I wanted to start buying baby clothes and things for the baby room. But at least I got to find out that the baby is doing great and is very healthy. I still haven't felt the baby move but for both the ultrasounds that I have gone to it was pretty lazy so i probably won't feel it for another month.

January 2nd

So i went to my first ultrasound today and saw my little guy!..finally! I've never had a bigger smile on my face then when i saw him/her. i went in thinking i was on my 14th week but got lucky and found out im on my 15th week! im booking another appointment for week 18 (in 3 weeks) to find out the sex of the baby!! so excited!

December 31st

So its been a month since my last post and its definitly been a a slow month. Justin and I told his parents on christmas day with a bib saying i love my grandma and i love my grandpa. i thought they would take it very hard since me and justin have only been dating half a year and we aren't married but they are so excited. they can't wait and are hoping for a granddaughter. they both cried when they found out which made me cry then justin cry. it was a pretty emotional time. I haven't yet told my family but plan on telling them in the next month with a package in the mail. I'm going for my first u/s in 2 days on Jan. 2nd. so excited! I don't think its really hit justin or even me that we are having a child so this u/s will definitly get things going.

Hello everyone! I am now in week 9 of my pregnancy and found out I was pregnant at week four so this pregnancy kind of feels like it's dragging on. When I found out that I was pregnant, I was devastated because coming from a very religious family being pregnant and not married don't go together. I'm pulling through it though and getting more excited to bring this child into this world everyday. I haven't yet told my family about this but plan on doing so after christmas in a month or so. I'm not as worried about being pregnant as some teenagers may be because I have an amazing boyfriend that is just as excited to have this child as me and fiancially Justin is well off. I've been caring for children since I was a child coming from a family with 7 siblings and now working in a daycare where I love going to work each day.I'm very happy to discover this website and read your stories so I don't feel so alone through it all.

Hey, I read your question about stretch marks. I would highly recommend pure vitamin E Oil. Not only will it prevent stretch marks, it can make any old ones fade. It works awesome on scars too. I'd suggest using it every day at least once, if you remember more often, even better. I hope it works for you!! :)

Awww! Cheer up honey! I know how you feel. When we went for the 19 week u/s the baby was in the wrong position and we couldn't see her face :( All i got was a shot of her "goods". Luckily they couldn't see some stuff they needed to so they had me come back at 22 weeks. Least your u/s place sounds nice! Don't worry about your man...I feel that way about my hubby sometimes too. I think it's really overwhelming for them too sometimes. Thinking...How am I going to support my growing family..etc. He will come around. Don't let it get you down. As far as the stretch marks...who cares! We are mommies and those are our battle scars...trust me..by the end of my pregnancy I looked like the american flag! LOL

Hiya, Its called Bio - oil and I buy it from my local chemist, it costs 10 british pounds for a small bottle.
Im not sure where you are from, but I would look for it on the internet if you google bio oil it should take you to their page and you will be able to see if you can purchase online and they may post out to you.
I used it all the way through my 1 st pregnancy, and I didnt escape stretchmark free, but I believe Bio oil helped the marks fade faster after and stopped them being really really bad in the first place! Good luck.

Gina

About your post in stretchmarks...Have you tried using Bio-Oil? Im 35 weeks and have use it once in a morning and at night. I have one mark on my belly button but its been pushed out to the max and looks more like a bruise than a strechmark and its not very big. I am still expecting to get some stretchmarks but i think that they will be reduced by using the oil. And if anything it stops the itchyness and keeps my stomach soft. Also a friend of mine who gave birth in february suggested that i wear a support for my stomach because she said once she stopped wearing one thats when her marks appeared so i tend to wear a belly band when i can (so long as its not too hot) and it also makes your tummy feel a little lighter. Sorry for rabbiting on but hope this helps xx

Call it what you want, don't be the one to make the call, exagerrate and let them take a look =) I had my son at 30 weeks after several weeks of 'something just doesn't seem right'....Yes he is fine now =) Don't talk yourself out of it, pregnancy is so hard because it is 9 months of not really knowing anything until the baby actually comes, good luck!

Hi there, just to be on the safe side I'd get checked out by your doctor. I know they say it's a bit early but by 28 weeks they tell us to count 10 kicks a day and you're not far off that now?

Babies vary lots in terms of movements but my little girl is moving all day long most days and even when she's quiet I still feel her 10+ times.

Good luck, don't wait to be seen, they are there for us mums and you need to put your mind at rest!

tisha1103 - Monday, 31 Mar
My baby has been the same way. I went to the doc on friday and everything is fine so far. Scares the crap outta me when she don't move. I'm guessing she is just lazy.

Hi there, not sure on your size, i was in 'normal weight' of 5'2' and about 120 lbs, my son kicks, rolls, punches, somersaults and plain jumps alot, my stomach moves to follow his movements and he is all over the place. Sounds like you have a quiet one, my friend said her boys were very lazy and didn't move alot at all, even with prodding. This is my third and my first son was born at 30 weeks and had some issues, I learned to get attention and not get brushed off you need to exagerate your symptoms, this way you will get the attention you deserve and a better chance at peace of mind. Good luck!

I'm so glad you feel good about raising a larger family. I find that families with only two kids are not as happy or as close, but four-kid families seem to be very happy and close. Best wishes.

Saw your post on breaking of waters. The actual breaking of the waters DOES'NT hurt at all. there are NO nerves in the sac. it can be VERY uncomfortable having the midwife's fingers down there but it's more a psycological thing than anything else. I've had my waters broken with two of mine. The first baby and I had her in 5hrs and it was a very smooth labour and not distressing AT ALL. In fact I had to wonder what all the fuss was about. ( I was 19 and 2weeks!) Then I had my second and discovered what the fuss was about!LOL. The midwives refused to break my waters no matter how much I begged them to do it BUT after 50hrs of labour they finaly decided that maybe they would! She was born 2 hrs latter! Some membranes can be TUFF! Check with your Dr if they will break, if nessesary. It's not needed all the time but it CAN speed things up with out the use of drugs to kick on the labour if you are diolating and things are going slowly. BUT EVERY BODY and labour is different. Don't be alarmed, when it comes to labour, most things are normal:-) Hope that's helpful:-) Vikki

I know what you mean - I wouldn't want my baby shower yet if I wasn't showing much either. Fortunately, that's not a problem! I am DEFINITELY showing!!! Everyone told me it looks like I have a watermelon under my shirt! Haha LOL

momof2oneonway! - Wednesday, 19 Mar
Brelyn (I think that is how you spelled it) is VERY pretty I agree. I have a friend with a daughter named that spelled Brayleigh, ok maybe that is alittle differnet than brelyn sorry. THANKS for suggestion :)

boomum - Wednesday, 19 Mar
Don't worry about the heartbeat, its still in the normal baby range,Also i see you don't know the sex yet but usually a boys heartbeat is slower like yours so maybe its a 'he'!

mommi2b - Thursday, 13 Mar
Hi! I just read your post - I am having my baby shower on Saturday, and I'll be 26wks. So I don't think it's too early. I'm having mine down in Florida (where I am right now) so I had to know about it so I could fly down here. For my shower, this is the only date that a lot of people could make it...
I think any date from here on out is good - - :)

baybay21 - Thursday, 13 Mar
no not to early, plus from what i read before it was planned before you even knew, mine is april 6th and will be about 30 weeks

AprilChristine - Thursday, 13 Mar
I'm not having mine till mid may. I wish mine was a little earlier, cause my friend just had her baby a month early, so i'm all paranoid now, having it so close to the due date. I would say yes, your's is a little bit early, for the standard time normal showers are, but look at it this way, gives you more time to prepare. I'll be putting stuff together from my shower up till i'm in labor. lol

ozbaby - Saturday, 8 Mar
Well the Dr didnt tell me what the actual number was but agreed that 130 is a boy and over 140 is a girl (an old wives tale but my Dr said it is usually right) and he said mine was slow and indicated a boy. So i would say if your bubs rate is 128 then you would be having a boy as well. But i am not finding out until the birth so we will wait and see. Let me know if yours is a boy when you find out.

blueglttr3 - Friday, 7 Mar
Clare- I am dealing with the same thing from my mil. She gets a major attitude anytime I tell her we or my parents baught anything. Oh well though, you cant rely on other people to buy things you need ya know. Just wanted to let you know your not alone :)

ukdutypaid - Monday, 3 Mar
anytime chick, keep in touch,.x.x.x.

ukdutypaid - Sunday, 2 Mar
sweetie, that is 100% normal... its colestrum... its what the baby feed on for the first 3 days, then milk comes thru, colestrum is very very important to the baby, they even say if u dont want to breastfeed, just give it the 1st 3 days... but yes, my right ones doing it too, not both yet..x.x

LVGIRL - Sunday, 2 Mar
I am having the clear stuff too. Only out one nipple, which is odd. I have been told by several people that it is colostrum and is normal to start coming in at this point- next it will turn to milk.
