September 17th

So it's definitely been a while since I updated my page. Well Aidan will be 3 months on the 21st. He is growing so fast. I can't keepup with him. He now giggles, grabs at toys and always has that toothless grin on his face. His hair is started to turn lighter. I can't wait until he gets a bit older. He had really bad reflux for the first 3 months and didn't keep down a quater of his bottles but he's getting better now and is slowly gaining weight. The nurse had said he wasunderweight.

June 19th

So the full moon didn't do anything. I took a really long walk and cleaned the house the whole day and didn't even get 1 cramp. Also ended up taking the castor oil. WOW that is the most disgusting stuff i have every taken. Not so much the taste but more the texture of it going down your throat. Well as soon as i got it all down, which took an hour, i threw it all back up so of course it didn't work. Going to the docter in 6 hours. Hopefully I've progressed a bit more but won't be surprised if i haven't since i haven't had any minor contractions, cramps, or even braxton hicks. Going to ask him to do a membrane sweep.

June 15th

So It's sunday afternoon and I'm very bored so I thought I would update on here since it's been a while. Well something new is my boyfriend proposed to me on April 21st. I definitely didn't see it coming. We had already talked about marriage before becoming pregnant so I know things will go great. We want to get married August of next year. We don't want to rush things.

Went to the docter on thursday and I'm 1 cm dialated, 'fairly soft', and the baby has dropped. He didn't say weather the baby was engaged, just that the head was right there and can see me delivering very soon. I don't go by that though because I don't want to be disapointed. I've been taking evening primrose capsules. 2 vaginally and 2 orally and I think that is what is making me dialate because I haven't experienced any minor contractions and even any braxton hicks. I started taking the red raspberry leaf tea and it tastes horrible and I don't think it's doing anything but I'm still taking it just in case, 3 cups a day. Also taking my dog for a walk for an hour each day. Not really doing it to go into labour but just because I've been sitting around the house for the past month and it's nice to get out.

I bought caster oil today. I'm not going to take it yet. Although right now would be the perfect timing since I'm very constipated and haven't had a bowel movement in a couple of days. I'm waiting until wednesday on the full moon. Hearing the rumors about how you can go into labour that day... If I'm not in labour by thursday morning, I'm going to take it.

March 25th

ITS A BOY!!! So happy to find out I'm having a little boy! We went to the 3d ultrasound and got some good pictures but not to many of the face because his head was down so we get to go back for a complimentary one to get some better pictures in two weeks. I'm actually happy his head was down since that means i get to see him again in 2 weeks and that will probably be the last time til I give birth.

I had my baby shower this weekend and the show up was great. It was so disorganized and hardly anyone r.s.v.p.ed . Really the only ones that did were the people saying they weren't coming. So we had no idea who was coming and if there would be enough food and games and such. BUT the show-up was good. About 30 showed. I got a ton of things so it takes alot off my list. I know I only had my shower at just 27 weeks but I'm happy I had it that early since it gives me alot of time to get the things I didn't receive at the shower.

February 2nd

My sister told my family that I am pregnant so they finally know. They took it sooooo well. i honestly thought they would want nothing more to do with me and i would be suck with no support from my family but they are excited. they want me to come back home. I live on the other side of Canada. They can't wait to see me and I feel great. A great weight from my shoulders has been lifted. So i think i am going to move back home. i will be leaving justin for a bit but i think he understands. i miss my family way too much. and i found out my sister is pregnant. about a month behind me so i can go through the achs and pains of pregnancy with her. Something else that made my day better is i felt the baby kick three times. right when i got justin to feel it the baby stopped. What a great day!

February 1st

I went for my 20 week ultrasound and the baby was curled up in a ball so I won't get to find out the sex for at least another month and a half. It is kind of disapointing because I was counting down the days til this ultrasound. I wanted to start buying baby clothes and things for the baby room. But at least I got to find out that the baby is doing great and is very healthy. I still haven't felt the baby move but for both the ultrasounds that I have gone to it was pretty lazy so i probably won't feel it for another month.

January 2nd

So i went to my first ultrasound today and saw my little guy!..finally! I've never had a bigger smile on my face then when i saw him/her. i went in thinking i was on my 14th week but got lucky and found out im on my 15th week! im booking another appointment for week 18 (in 3 weeks) to find out the sex of the baby!! so excited!

December 31st

So its been a month since my last post and its definitly been a a slow month. Justin and I told his parents on christmas day with a bib saying i love my grandma and i love my grandpa. i thought they would take it very hard since me and justin have only been dating half a year and we aren't married but they are so excited. they can't wait and are hoping for a granddaughter. they both cried when they found out which made me cry then justin cry. it was a pretty emotional time. I haven't yet told my family but plan on telling them in the next month with a package in the mail. I'm going for my first u/s in 2 days on Jan. 2nd. so excited! I don't think its really hit justin or even me that we are having a child so this u/s will definitly get things going.

December 1st

Hello everyone! I am now in week 9 of my pregnancy and found out I was pregnant at week four so this pregnancy kind of feels like it's dragging on. When I found out that I was pregnant, I was devastated because coming from a very religious family being pregnant and not married don't go together. I'm pulling through it though and getting more excited to bring this child into this world everyday. I haven't yet told my family about this but plan on doing so after christmas in a month or so. I'm not as worried about being pregnant as some teenagers may be because I have an amazing boyfriend that is just as excited to have this child as me and fiancially Justin is well off. I've been caring for children since I was a child coming from a family with 7 siblings and now working in a daycare where I love going to work each day.I'm very happy to discover this website and read your stories so I don't feel so alone through it all.

You shouldn't ever be throwing up blood. Call your doctor.

Leah B. - Wednesday, 30 April
It's not abnormal to throw up @ this point in pregnancy, but it's really never normal to throw up blood. It may not be (& probably isn't) anything, but I would still call your doctor to be on the safe side.

AshleyAnn116 - Wednesday, 30 April
About your highlighting your hair...the only time its NOT safe to highlight your hair is in the first trimester and we of course are way past that! So to answer your question, yes you can highlight/dye your hair etc...

AprilChristine - Wednesday, 30 April
you might have just irratated your throat from all the dry heaving. I would say if it continues see your dr. or if your really concerned, call them and explain the situation just to be on the safe side. :). sorry to hear you were feeling yucky.

sunshinebaby - Wednesday, 30 April
I highlighted with my second daughter. It doesn't affect anything. However, she is my little girly girl diva. She is 5 & cares more about looking like a little princes than any othr 5 yr old I've met. She loves dresses & bracelets, etc. Who knows, it could be b/c I highlighted my hair. (haha)

kara8385 - Wednesday, 30 April
AMEN to giving us a funnel to pee in that tiny cup with. You are not alone with peeing on your hand. You would think they wouldbe smarter being doctors and all.

ukdutypaid - Wednesday, 30 April
as it happens ive just come back from the hair dressers, i had high and low lights in my hair, when u do highlights the colour or bleach neevr actually touches the scalp or a good hair dresser doesnt let it.... and its safe, the only thing is, some hair colours dont take very well cus of the pregnancy... but its fine... but u will here from some women who say dont do it, like dont have scans, dont breath dont drink caffine, lol
my hair looks fabulous too... go for it girl will make u feel good

1stimemommymel - Wednesday, 30 April
I was told by my doctor that highlighting was fine because it doesnt go directly on your scalp. So go for it. I did. Congrats on the baby!

preciousangels2 - Wednesday, 30 April
Back in February I got my hair highlighted. I had asked my doctor about it beforehand and he said that it was fine to do. You could ask your doctor what he/she thinks. It really all depends on the doctor though.

Leah B. - Wednesday, 30 April
My doctor said highlighting my hair is completely fine too - I just did about 2 weeks ago. :)

CD2007 - Wednesday, 30 April
Its 100% safe to get your hair highlighted. I spoke with my midwife and says its fine. I've had my hair highlighted since Ive been pregnant and The baby and I are both 100% OK!

Go enjoy your self! If you have any doubts or questions always ask your doctor or midwife...they will always know best!

lh0407 - Wednesday, 30 April
I hear its okay to get your hair hilighted just not dyed. I have gotten my hair hilighted about 4 times during this pregnancy and everything seems fine. If you are still worried you could call your docs office and ask to make sure.

hi! I saw your post about flying. Just wanted to let you know I had my daughter at 36 wks and exactly to the day one month later I took her to Honduras (it was like a 17hr flight with all the layovers lol) you just have to make sure that you feed the baby going up and descending so that his little ears can pop

thirdisacharm - Monday, 28 April
someone I know put they newborn on a plane under two months and is deaf in one ear and cant hardly hear out the other I assume from the turbalance or what ever that is that makes that loud noise the whole plane ride. you baby will sleep most of the trip when u drivebut be carefull with a milk feeding im sure b4 u go should be fine or 1 hour b4 so the milk can settle and if he want another on your trip give him juice. Something about a long car ride makes the babies throw all of it up and then u panic go to er and they say nothing is wrong (this happened to me) I was just giving u my 2 cents.LOTS OF BABY DUST:)

1stbabyforus - Monday, 28 April
I am pretty sure they will let you on the plane with a baby that young. I am in the military and if you move with a baby that young they dont really care cuz you need to move when they say to move. So you should be fine. It would be up to you if you wanted to have a seat for the baby with the car seat and what not or you can opt to hold the baby the whole time and only pay for one seat. I hope this helps. I would just ask the airline you are planning to go with just to be sure.

gabbagirl - Monday, 28 April
I flew from New york to Puerto Rico with my daughter when she a month old. I dont see it being a problem.

ChristineA - Monday, 28 April
I recently took a flight from the east coast to the west and back and saw all kinds of babies on the flight. One thing I forgot about is the rule about only 100mL of liquid, so I had to leave creams and shampoos behind. Keep this in mind if you are not breastfeeding... I've also heard that it's good to breastfeed as the plane climbs and everyone's ears pop...Good luck with the move!

tenderlove - Monday, 28 April
yes you can fly with a newborn. my baby is due June 24th and me and my husband are going to colorado at the middle of July. it's only a 3hrs flight.

preciousangels2 - Monday, 28 April
They should let you fly with a baby at any age. I'm taking my son back home to visit friends and family in August when he'll be about 2 months. Just make sure that during take off and landing you give your baby a bottle or pacifier. Something that he can suck on so that his ears don't pop!

MyLilAidan - Thursday, 24 April
My mom is my best friend too! dont feel lonely, you have a buddy with you always!

mama40 - Wednesday, 23 April
One of the ladies on thsi forum had her wedding few weeks before her due date, so it is also possible. Also one of my friends had wedding at 8 or so months. The only problem was that she had to map all restrooms on her way, because the baby was pressing on her bladder and she wanted to make sure she knew where all restroom were located. But she managed it all the same:) Good luck:)

yummymummy87 - Wednesday, 23 April
