Hi all!!! Welcome to my profile, I'm 30 years old and happily married with two boys 10 and 7 (Now 8), we live in the UK. I work part time and love spending all my spare time with my family.
After two m/c last year I was apprehensive when I learnt my p/t was positive in March. My mind was put to rest when I had my scan at 12w and 6d, my baby was very energetic and I saw the heartbeat!!!! I am feeling alittle more at ease now. My dates matched and I am due on the 8th November 2008.
Thurs 15th May 08:
I'm pleased to say all is going well. With my other two children I felt sick from day one but was never actually sick. This time I have been sick a number of occasions but am not doubled over like I was the other times. However I am now 14w and 5d and the past couple of days have felt sick and very tired!! I think the maternity clothes will be out this weekend. I am really looking forward to my 16 week appointment as I will get to hear the heartbeat for the first time.
Tues 20th May 08:
Well I haven't been very well the last few days and still feel under the weather today, full of cold, ear ache, sore throat, extremely tired and to top it all off a migraine... trying to get by it all with no medication!! I'm sure I feel fluttering and sometimes even a kick but then think it's just my imagination?? My boys are so excited and can't wait to feel the kicks for themselves. The heartburn has started big time and my breasts have started to leak, wow what a start to week 15!!!!!
Wed 28th May 08:
After days of trying to book my 20 week scan I finally got through today and it is booked for the 27th June!!! I can't wait and now plan on finding out the sex, I wanted to wait but the suspence it taking over. I am feeling so much better now but still have the sniffles...all worth it though! I have my 16 week app on Friday and my boys are off school so are really looking forward to hearing their baby brother or sisters heartbeat!
Fri 30th May 08:
My childrens faces when they listened to the heartbeat was just as amazing as listening to my littles ones heartbeat for the first time today. My husband bought a doppler today so I am really looking forward to its arrival. All blood tests have come back normal and I was offered an anti-d injection at 28 weeks for R- if I want it, didn't have it with my other two so must be a new thing. My bp remains high 9wk 130/80 today 130/90 and I have protein in my urine (unsure what that means). Next app is my scan on 27th June.
Wed 11th June 08:
The weeks are flying by pretty quickly for me. I have felt rather tired lately but think it's alot to do with the many changes at work, I enjoy a nap just after picking the boys up from school which seems to help!! Just over two weeks now until my scan.....can't wait!!! Feeling some great kicks the kids love to listen to the heartbeat regular and my sickness has completley gone Yay!! Decided that I want to find out the sex so my family will get their wish, decided it will be a good idea when doing up the nursery etc.
I have my scan tomorrow 27th June....so excited!! Will post pics etc asap. Take care all x
Mon 7th July 2008:
I haven't updated in a while as I recently lost my Dad suddenly on fathers day. At the time I visited my GP for a check up and my baby was doing well, I just had to eat and drink better which was easier said than done! I'm trying really hard now as I know that is what my Dad would want. I had my scan on the 27th June and it was fantastic, the tech explained everything to us as she did the examination. However my little one clearly stuck their tounge out as though to say 'hahahaha' you ain't finding out what I am today!!... sure enough the placenta was between the legs and no matter how much rolling and coughing I did it stayed in place throughout. The 2 techs both decided on 55% girl and 45% boy from what we did see (3 lines) but we wont be buying or decorating based on that!! We took my Mum to the scan and she loved it. Members of my family felt the baby move from around 19+ weeks and we often use the doppler to have a listen inside. I can't believe I'm 22+ weeks already!!
Sun 13th July 2008:
23 weeks already...how exciting!!! My little one is ever so active lately and I'm loving it, although he/she is laying pretty high at the moment causing some pain in my back. It'll be all worth it in the end. I love laying on an evening and watching my belly move... my kids find it very exciting but the pregnancy is going slow for them. I'm going into town tomorrow to pick up some colour charts for the nursery and will start looking for a cot bed. I am pretty lucky as even though my youngest is 8 tomorrow I still have my pram that I love, moses basket & stand, bouncy chair etc.
My love and support go to you all!!!!
