Hi all!!! Welcome to my profile, I'm 30 years old (now 31 as my children have just pointed out to me lol) and happily married with two boys 10 and 7 (Now 8), we live in the UK. I work part time both as a Resource Worker and Mid Day Supervisor. In my spare time I love spending all my time with my family.

After two m/c last year I was apprehensive when I learnt my p/t was positive in March. My mind was put to rest when I had my scan at 12w and 6d, my baby was very energetic and I saw the heartbeat!!!! I am feeling alittle more at ease now. My dates matched and I am due on the 8th November 2008.

My eldest child was due on 19/10/97 and was eventually born on the 29/10/97 00.04am when I started with contractions, I had a natural birth and had my waters broken in hospital, with him I was in labour for 5 hours and needed stiches. I stayed in hospital 2-3 days with him.

My second was due on the 13/07/00 and was born 14/07/00 4.07am so wasn't too late with him! He was also a natural birth after my waters broke, with him I was in labour for 2 hours and home by 8.30am that day.

Thurs 15th May 08:

I'm pleased to say all is going well. With my other two children I felt sick from day one but was never actually sick. This time I have been sick a number of occasions but am not doubled over like I was the other times. However I am now 14w and 5d and the past couple of days have felt sick and very tired!! I think the maternity clothes will be out this weekend. I am really looking forward to my 16 week appointment as I will get to hear the heartbeat for the first time.

Tues 20th May 08:

Well I haven't been very well the last few days and still feel under the weather today, full of cold, ear ache, sore throat, extremely tired and to top it all off a migraine... trying to get by it all with no medication!! I'm sure I feel fluttering and sometimes even a kick but then think it's just my imagination?? My boys are so excited and can't wait to feel the kicks for themselves. The heartburn has started big time and my breasts have started to leak, wow what a start to week 15!!!!!

Wed 28th May 08:

After days of trying to book my 20 week scan I finally got through today and it is booked for the 27th June!!! I can't wait and now plan on finding out the sex, I wanted to wait but the suspence it taking over. I am feeling so much better now but still have the sniffles...all worth it though! I have my 16 week app on Friday and my boys are off school so are really looking forward to hearing their baby brother or sisters heartbeat!

Fri 30th May 08:

My childrens faces when they listened to the heartbeat was just as amazing as listening to my littles ones heartbeat for the first time today. My husband bought a doppler today so I am really looking forward to its arrival. All blood tests have come back normal and I was offered an anti-d injection at 28 weeks for R- if I want it, didn't have it with my other two so must be a new thing. My bp remains high 9wk 130/80 today 130/90 and I have protein in my urine (unsure what that means). Next app is my scan on 27th June.

Wed 11th June 08:

The weeks are flying by pretty quickly for me. I have felt rather tired lately but think it's alot to do with the many changes at work, I enjoy a nap just after picking the boys up from school which seems to help!! Just over two weeks now until my scan.....can't wait!!! Feeling some great kicks the kids love to listen to the heartbeat regular and my sickness has completley gone Yay!! Decided that I want to find out the sex so my family will get their wish, decided it will be a good idea when doing up the nursery etc.

I have my scan tomorrow 27th June....so excited!! Will post pics etc asap. Take care all x

Mon 7th July 2008:

I haven't updated in a while as I recently lost my Dad suddenly on fathers day. At the time I visited my GP for a check up and my baby was doing well, I just had to eat and drink better which was easier said than done! I'm trying really hard now as I know that is what my Dad would want. I had my scan on the 27th June and it was fantastic, the tech explained everything to us as she did the examination. However my little one clearly stuck their tounge out as though to say 'hahahaha' you ain't finding out what I am today!!... sure enough the placenta was between the legs and no matter how much rolling and coughing I did it stayed in place throughout. The 2 techs both decided on 55% girl and 45% boy from what we did see (3 lines) but we wont be buying or decorating based on that!! We took my Mum to the scan and she loved it. Members of my family felt the baby move from around 19+ weeks and we often use the doppler to have a listen inside. I can't believe I'm 22+ weeks already!!

Sun 13th July 2008:

23 weeks already...how exciting!!! My little one is ever so active lately and I'm loving it, although he/she is laying pretty high at the moment causing some pain in my back. It'll be all worth it in the end. I love laying on an evening and watching my belly move... my kids find it very exciting but the pregnancy is going slow for them. I'm going into town tomorrow to pick up some colour charts for the nursery and will start looking for a cot bed. I am pretty lucky as even though my youngest is 8 tomorrow I still have my pram that I love, moses basket & stand, bouncy chair etc.

Wed 6th Aug 2008:

26+ For the past number of weeks with recent events I have been very emotional. I still haven't bought anything or started the nursery, I'd expected to enjoy this pregnancy but in away it has been at the back of my mind. Today I've decided that I need to pull myself together and have pulled out the catalogues and visited many ebay pages to get myself into the mood, there isn't many things I need just a cot bed, bath and baby basics, breast pump, bottles and steriliser etc. I have kept a number of baby boy clothes that will see me through if I have a boy and plan to buy an outfit incase I have a girl. My baby is very active and I have some disturbed nights but overall everything is going smoothly apart from horrible and painful varicose vains...but my baby is worth it!!

Sunday 14th Sept 2008:

32+ Wow how time is flying!!!

All is going well with my pregnancy at present. My last midwife app was at 29wks and I had ++ protein in my urine, blood pressure was fine and measured 28cm. I expected to have an Anti-D injection at this visited but was told I should have been given an app at my 20 week scan but didn't so haven't had it.

My husband took me shopping on Friday for a cot, following the nursery theme we got a 'winnie the pooh' cot and even got a free mattress and cot bedding so we are really happy. The cot will arrive Friday, in the mean time my Hubby and Mum have informed me that they are decorating the nursery and setting up the furniture and that I am banned from entering until complete on Friday evening.....I can't wait!!!! We also called to another shop Babies r us and I commented on liking a Moses Basket also in the same design as we made our way to the clothing Dept, as we don't know what we are having I wanted a plain outfit, we found a lovely 8 piece set for £20 and went to the till to purchase it.....my hubby was paying and I was just waiting when the cashier said that will be £80....eh, I said sorry you've got that wrong we've only bought an outfit and looking all embarrased she said 'what have I done' then pointed at some paper saying it's because of that! I stood there all confused when my hubby said to the girl 'don't worry it's my wife and her hormones' .....I thought I was going mad when he turned round and said 'surprise I've bought you the moses basket you liked' I was shocked and felt so sorry for the cashier that I'd just put into a panic! I don't recall him picking up the slip but I love it. My Auntie has also bought me a lovely winnie and friends picture to go up on the wall, I can't wait for Friday evening!!!!!!

20th Sept 2008:

Yay my Hubby and Mum decorated the nursery for me this week and it's fantastic!! Do take a look at my photo's and leave a comment x

I went to get my hair cut whilst my hubby awaited the arrival of the cot/bed... I returned home an hour later asking if it had arrived to be told 'No not yet but I've put more stickers up if you want to take a look' so up to the room I went looking at the wall and thinking nothings changed, then I thought he's put the picture up (couldn't find the hammer before going out) so turned to see it hanging on the wall. I told my hubby it looked great when he looked at me with a confused expression on his face and said 'you've seriously lost it!!! Derr turn round' I turned to find the cot was all set up!!!! I honestly didn't see it even though it was in front of my eyes! Hubs says I even stepped back into it whilst looking at the picture on the wall. I think this pregnancy is turning me into mush lol!!!

9th October 2008:

35+ weeks Finally seen the mw 7 wks after my last app....my regular mw was off sick and her replacement seemed much more efficient!! Blood pressure is good but low at 120/50 baby is laying head down but long and not yet engaged, mw says could possibly move...hope not!! I am measuring 34cm. bloods taken at this visit and she was concerned that I hadn't been given my anti d injection and told me she would be taking the matter further although it's too late to have it now. Baby remains very active and enjoys sticking his/her little bum out every now and again. My hubby ordered my a number of neutral outfits on Monday so I am awaiting there arrival. I am currently on annual leave but start my maternity leave on Monday 13th Oct so no going back until after the baby is born!! My next mw app is Mon 20/10.

My love and support goes to you all!!!!

First and middle Baby Names we have decided on are:

Boy: Eric Peter

Girl: Jenna Rose

You're good. I don't find the support tights help. I feel the blood enter my veins every time I stand up and I have to sit on my hands to stop myself scratching them!! Like you I'm purple all over. Nice. Fingers crossed for us!

juce - Sunday, 14 September
Ok the veins just keep getting more and more purple all down my leg. They are now painful and itchy. Roll on 9 weeks. I am praying they at least go down a bit once this baby is out. Is that wishful thinking? How are yours?

kt08dec88 - Monday, 8 September

have you had your blood pressure checked lately? That's one of the warning signs they told me to watch out for--flashing lights and headaches. might be worth checking in to. good luck!

When my mother was pregnant with me at 45, her mother died the month before I was born. They would not let her go to the funeral. I am sure that put lots of stress on her and here I am fine and dandy. So, I guess you are right and I won't worry.

juce - Friday, 15 August
