My husband John and I are currently stationed in the Upper Florida Keys with the US Coast Guard. We found out in February that we were pregnant after losing our first pregnancy back in December. We are very excited to be bring new life into this world! I have already seen the changes in my husband and I just can't wait to see the look in his eyes when he holds our little bundle of joy for the first time. And living in the place that I do (with my insurance), I have to see an OB that is 2hrs away...talk about a drive! But I always say that life happends for a reason, someday we'll know what this one was.

Sunday April 27th ~16 weeks 1day~~

I just turned 16 weeks yesterday and I am very excited. The past few weeks I have been feeling quite tired and sluggish. I thought that once I hit 12 weeks I'd feel a million times better. So far my pregnancy has been pretty good, I felt sick but I never actually got sick. And up until the about three days ago...I didn't even have heart burn. I go in to the OB on Tuesday April 29th for my Quad Screen and hopefully I'll get an ultrasound. But it'll be only another 3weeks and we'll know what we're having! I can't hardly wait. I have a feeling it's a boy...I wonder if I'm right.

Wednesday May 14th ~18weeks 4days~

Last night I think that I felt the baby kick. I'm not 100% positive, I couldn't tell the difference that and a muscle twitch...even though I felt it a couple times. I've been waitting for this day! I was hoping that I'd feel our little one over two weeks ago but I guess that our baby has a little mind of it's own! Hopefully I'll be feeling more!

Saturday May 17th ~19 weeks 0days~

John and I go in on Tuesday for our 20week anatomy scan...I can't hardly wait! I just hope that our little one will let the world see his family jewels...or lack there of! I just want to start picking out names and start shopping. I've been feeling pretty good for the past couple weeks, I finally got some energy back..I'm going to be working over time for the next month so I think that I'm going to need it. I'm just about finished with my first babies quilt and I'm getting pretty excited! I wonder how many I can make between now and October. My cousin just had their baby on May 5th, that little girl is such an angel. I can't wait to see her in June! Well, I'll fill you in more on Tuesday. Wish me luck!

Wednesday May 21st ~19weeks 4days~

Yesterday I went and had my 20weeks ultrasound and I am happy you announce that IT'S A BOY! I had a feeling tht it was so I was thrilled to hear that I was right! We have the name Nathaniel picked out so now we just need to pick out a middle name! OMG...I am so excited that our little baby now has a name...and a gender!

Saturday May 24th ~20weeks 0 days~

So I've been doing a little research and I think that everyone that reads this should look into this. I was looking into biogradable diapers and found what are called "G Diapers". There are cloth diapers with flushable inserts that will break up in the toilet, in a compost, are in the land fill if you chose to throw them away. The web site (gdiapers.com) shows videos about how they will absorb into the earth, how to get a perfect fit, and how to put them together. It's pretty much the same price as disposable diapers except that it's a million times better for our Earth. So please check it out and let me know what you guys think! Just remember...we only have one planet so we better take care of it now!

Friday May 30th~20weeks 6days~

I went for our 20 week OB appt on Wednesday and the doctor said that everything is go good. I am still negative 5lbs but the baby is growing good and that is all that she cares about. She also told us that the ultrasound that we had done on the 20th, they weren't able to see all the views of the babies heart that they wanted to so we have to go back for a follow up. YAY! Our doctor is a little stingie when it cames to ultrasounds so I'm glad that I can go back and get another look. I just hope that he cooperates and turns when we need him too. I'd love to get a profile view of him this time!

Tuesday June 3rd~21weeks 3days~

Hubby got to feel Nathaniel kick for the first time! I was so happy! I almost felt like John was being left out so I was thrilled when he was able to feel his son kick for the first time!

Sunday June 8th~22weeks 1day~

So over the past couple weeks Nathaniel has really became active. He even woke me up one night out of a dead sleep. Since it took so long to feel his first kick, I thought that it would also take him awhile to become active. It's almost like a little buddy. I was sitting in class the other day and he was just kicking away, so I paid more attention to him then to class...oh well. John and I will be going on vacation to see my grandparents in California in a little over a week, I can't wait. I have been working so much over time this past month that I just need a break! I'm going to try and get the emergency seats (because I'm tall) so I hope that no one notices my growth belly. I guess we'll have to see!

Saturday June 14th~23weeks 0days~

Today I went for a follow up ultrasound. I was so excited to see my little man again! This time he decided that he would cooperate with the ultrasound tech and he turned so that I could get a profile view, so now I have a picture of a real looking baby. My husband was unable to come with me today because he had to work so a friend came. She was so fasinated with the ultrasound...funny thing is that sh'e a nurse so you'd think that it'd be old news to her. There was only a few down sides to today: 1) I had to work grave yard the night before so I was tired and had to drive about 40mins each way and I had to work tonight. 2) I wasn't able to see the screen. I asked the tech if he could turn the screen just a little bit so that I could see but he said that he'd show me afterward. Low and behold...he didn't show me anything, but I did get a print out of the profile view. So my friend Jessica, the tech, and the chaperone (because the tech was male) got to see my baby moving around...and I didn't! How fair is that?

Monday June 29th~25weeks 2days~

Today we went up to the OB and did the normal routine...weight, blood pressure, measuring, and we heard the heart beat. The only difference this time is that I gained 12lbs in a month! HOLY COW! I guess my grandmas cooking was really as good as I thought that it was. John and I just got back on Friday from a week and a half in California with my grandparents. We had so much fun that we didn't want to come home! I forgot what wonderful produce the west coast has...I can't wait to go back! Well, we have an appt in two weeks for the glucose test and an H&H. Hopefully I din't gain too much in the two weeks...but I guess we'll see. I can't complain too much though because I'm only a couple pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight.

So here is my update. Little Molly is still breech so my Dr is going to put me in the schedule for a C section for 2 weeks from today. Oct 29th at 8 or 10am. If both times are taken, I will choose another day. So for the next 2 weeks I will try everything I can to get her to turn and if she stays breech than we will just go for the c section. I don't want to have to worry about anything else, like an inversion and more pain etc. Now I can just try to enjoy the last two weeks of life with just the 2 of us. Unless she decides to come earlier. So thats it for now, I will hear by friday as to what date and time we will meet our little princess. Thanks everyone!

Hi Girls! I need some advice. My baby is still breech at 37 weeks and I need to make a decision by tomorrow as to what I'm going to do. Have a C section or try the inversion which is not pleasant and could end in a c section anyway. Its such a hard decision. I feel like I will be missing out on a natural birth by not trying but it seems safer to go with the C section for me and the baby. And I guess it would be nice to skip the labor part! Its all I can think about and I loose sleep over it. Anyone going through the same thing?
Hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for babies!!!!!
