Been trying for 2 and a half YEARS to get pg after a m/c in March 05. I'm very excited and had pretty much given up hope when this happened!! So don't give up!

Just got back from u/s and it turns out I am almost 11 weeks!!!! I got to see my baby moving around inside me! It was amazing!!!! heartbeat at 182 bpm and a big head like his daddy!! 8 weekers, keep me posted on your progress and I hope to meet some 10 weekers like myself soon!!!

Last Friday I had the first part of my quad screen(which I opted for as opposed to amnio or CVS testing). Everything was wonderful! Baby's heartbeat was 160! They also measured the nuchal translucency and it was normal at 1.8. We will find out the sex in about a month when I go back for the second part of the test, which is a level 2 ultrasound. Hope everyone's enjoying their holidays!!!

(sigh) Well, I had the much anticipated, gender-telling u/s today and...the tech couldn't tell! Apparently my baby is just like his mommy in that when he gets woken up from a nap, he gets grumpy! He(she) stayed scrunched up the ENTIRE time!! Baby is healthy with a heart rate of 153, and everything looked normal! I'm just a little disappointed, because I set myself up for the last month worrying over whether I would not be able to wait for hubby to get home from Australia. I worried for NOTHING!! Now I have no idea how long I'll have to wait to find out!

I feel like a moron whining and bitching like I was after reading shellie77's story. She is a very stong person. I'll have to remember her next time I catch myself grumping about being uncomfortable or not knowing what the sex is! Tomorrow I have my monthly checkup so I will ask the doc if I'm going to have another u/s. I hope I will get another. I'm a planner, and I need to plan all this stuff out, that's why I need to know the sex! LOL Take care mommies!

IT'S A GIRL!!! I know I said I wanted a boy, but I don't really care now!!! LOL My doctor's office just got u/s equipment and they did another u/s for us just to tell us the gender!! The best part of all is they're not charging us for it! I'm so stoked! I can't wait to see my little girl! My daughter-gosh, it sounds so strange!!

Hi everyone! Back from vacation and back to the real world! Everything's great, Haylie's doing great, she LOVES the water! LOL I'll post some pics when I get a chance. I started nesting this weekend-cleaned out every closet in our house! My diabetes test is April 7th. Take care all you mommies!

Tomorrow is my 3D ultrasound! I can't wait to see my baby girl again! I'm waiting on the results of my 3 hour glucose test crossing my fingers! I'll post pics of Haylie when I get home tomorrow. We're getting a dvd and cd of her scan, so I hope she cooperates! Everything going well, though I have a lot of the complaints I see everyone else has on here! 9 weeks will go by so fast! I'm not ready yet!!!! ;)

Well, ladies I have the dreaded GD!!! It's been a couple of weeks and I hadn't heard from the dietician yet. My doc said I could just eat like I was on South Beach diet again and that should be fine. Hubby and I were on that for 2 years, so it's pretty easy to go back to. I had one of my showers last weekend and have another tomorrow for "couples." Everyone has been very generous! Haylie's got LOTS of stuff to come home to! =)

Oh, 37 weeks!!! My goodness we're almost there! Just came from the dr. and they estimate Haylie weighs 7 lbs, 4 oz. I think they estimate me a week behind what I actually am. I have not had my GBS test yet, not until next week. Oh well, she's healthy, that's what matters. I'll be the one on here @ 43 weeks complaining while everyone's had their babies!! LOL

Woohoo! The doc said today I will not go past my due date! So if Haylie decides not to make an appearance before then, at least I know she'll be here before July! I'm getting sooo nervous and anxious to meet my daughter! I can't wait to see who she looks like more! It's the first Father's Day for my hubby and I can't wait to make it special =) Take care ladies, and lots of labor dust to you all!

Ahh a little Houdini huh?? Tyler does pretty good w/ the swaddler blankies but if you dont swaddle him well enough, he managed to wiggle his hands out of it and I hear him sucking his fist at night - LOL! U are right - what difference does it make and what do they care. I mean, really. U know what's best for your baby so poop on them! 3.5 hours is the most she'll sleep? UGH! Sounds exhausting! Tyler gave me another 5 hour stretch last night, followed by a 3.5 hour stretch - still exhausted today though. I think the end of the tiring week has finally caught up to me. I did manage to squeeze in 2 naps today but they werent quality at all... sigh... Do you guys do tummy time W/ Haylie? Tyler LOVES it (except when we do it too close to him just finishing a bottle - he barfs - bleck!) and has almost turned over from his tummy to his side a few times! He always rolls over from his back to his side if we lay him down to sleep on his back - he prefers his left side over his right. TOo cute! So have you switched her formula yet? Curious if it helps the gas... what was she on? What are you switching too?? Um, yeah - getting used to staying home. I cant wait until he's sleeping thru the night though so I can actually get crap done around here. I'm lucky if I can squeeze in a load of laundry and lunch at this point. I'm too tired to do anything except lay around and hang out w/ him! I need to join a playgroup and get out of the house but I'm not sure how to go about finding one in my area. Oh yuck - nothing worse than a fussy baby! Tyler gets fussy at night - always right when my hubby gets home from work. Yeah, I'm sure he loves coming home to a fussy baby! Do you have one of those swaddler blankets?? I swear to you, those help SOOO much when Tyler is fussy! We have 3 and we swaddle him whenever it's time for a nap or bedtime. The other day he was screaming up a storm (b/c he was tired) so I swaddled him, walked downstairs and he was already asleep! No binkie or anything, he just wanted the security of the swaddle. He's always been like that though - we've been swaddling since he was born so maybe he's just used to it. Just a suggestion though, if you havent tried it already.

hi, I am on YAZ which I haven't been on birth control in over 6 yrs and my sis was taking this so I thought I would try it. So far so good plus its supposed to help with skin, bloating and all that other fun stuff! Only side effect I see right now is very minor spotting just wearing a panty liner!! Hope this helps!

There are nipples with a X instead of the whole OR a Y instead of the whole. Or if you are brave you can just take a knife and make your own.

Ahh - thank gawd huh??!! Maybe he'll even get a promotion out of the deal - wahoo! So the gas X isnt working? I thought about trying that also b/c T seems to have bad gas... guess I could try it and see what happens. Gray poop??? Ugh - that sounds nasty - LOL! So I got this wicked sinus infection last week - didnt don on me until the other night that's what I had - DOH! Thankfully hubby was home all week w/ me to help take care of T - coulda made for a super long week otherwise. I'm dreading him going back to work tomorrow in fact... I hope I can clear up this sinus infection w/ out going to the dr. Anyway, hope you had a nice relaxing weekend!

My son is 5 weeks old this past Thursday, I used Rice cereal for the first time last night. You have to use a special nipple for the bottle to get the cereal thru. We put like a teaspoon & 1/2 in, and he sleep for 4 hours before he was hungry again. Which is great for my hungry little man. He eats ALOT!!

Hey there, my older son used to spit up all the time (like the exorcist!) My doc had me add rice cereal to his formula. I would check with your doc first. Also, it might be the actual formula. My baby spit up a lot when he was born (to the point where the nursery in the hospital called his pediatrician). They switched him over to a soy formula. This helped a LOT. One more thing- If your baby has a soy alergy, you will need to get beechnut cereal- it's the only one that doesn't contain soy. Good luck- I would definately talk to your doc before you do it becuase they may have a lactose or soy intolerance instead of reflux.

With the spit up and rice in the bottle thing. I probably wouldn't do unless you talk to your doc first. My son had really bad projectile spit up and we tried the Enfamil Lipil A.R. and it's been working great. It's already thickened with rice and what not. Anyway, good luck!!

IBM - that's right! My memory is terrible... sigh... Something WILL pan out - as I said, stay positive! Easier said than done sometimes I realize! Glad your doing better today though - always a good thing! Baby Wise is going okay... he gave us TWO 4 hour stretches last night - WAHOO! Yesterday and today he's eating every 3 hours (3 oz) right on schedule which is great. I kinda figure it's a 1 step forward, 2 steps back kinda process especially right now - u know? There's gunna be good nights and bad nights. U cant really expect them to really sleep thru the night until 7 or 8 weeks I guess... but two 4 hour stretches is nice! Cant complain TOO much! How often is Haylie eating? How many oz? Didnt you say she's up to 4 oz? She is a chunky monkey - but it's adorable!!!

Hi there. I am excited to find out the sex and can hardly wait until Monday! My feeling about this pregnancy has been much more optimistic in terms of it 'sticking', but I'm still overly cautious/worried about everything. I currently use Mid-Carolina OB/Gyn and really like them. They are at Rex so I will be delivering there. I haven't really thought of any pediatricians yet; that still seems so far away! I plan on asking around once the birth gets a little closer.

I totally hear you on the bfeeding. Zillions of kids grow up being formula fed and are perfectly healthy so dont sweat it! I dont get how it's SO easy for some mom's/babies but not for others - it's frustrating! I still want it to work out but havent tried latching him in over a week. My sister called me sunday night to tell me that her sister in law went to this place near her house (sadly, about 40 minutes from me...) and they helped her get her daughter to latch - AFTER 6 WEEKS! Her baby was tongue tied I think, but she'd been pumping and bottle feeding, and had been looking around for bfeeding support and tried several places I guess... before stumbling upon this place. She went in for a consult ($85 - yikes!) and they showed her different techniques than the lactation nurses showed her at the hospital (the typical, take your babies face and your boob and mesh them together technique!) and she was able to her her baby bfeeding - amazing huh? I figure being almost 3 weeks out, I've got a decent chance of making it work. I'm waiting on a call back right now to see if I can get it today or tmorrow to meet with this lady. I'm hopeful! Would be SO much easier to roll outta bed at 2 am and bfeed rather than pumping for 20+ minutes and then feeding him a bottle for 20 minutes... I'm pulling double duty - YUCK! T's been super gassy too - holy crap does that make for a cranky baby!!! Oh honey - be careful w/ your csection incision please! My hubbys good friend had issues after her 2nd son was born and she got REALLY sick b/c of an infection from the csection.

Holy crap my boobs are leaking b/c T is downstairs crying - he must be hungry but Daddy has it under control! ANYWAY - that stretch of sleep is great! U gotta figure there are going to be good nights and bad nights - last night wasnt the greatest for us - sigh... oh well, onward and upward!!! T's at 3 oz right now and he's a week behind Haylie, right? I dont think 4 oz is a bad thing for a 3 week old - what about 3.5 oz?? Yeah what's up w/ that hunger thing - HAS to be a growth spurt b/c T's been like that again today! Good idea getting some quality time w/ hubby while the parents are around! At least you know she's in good hands w/ your mom there! My in laws are coming over in a few... kinda dreading it b/c my MIL talks my ear off the whole time. She's as sweet as pie though - I'm just not in the mood for a visit from them today but oh well. It's been over a week since she's seen T so she's over due!

Last night T did a 5 hour stretch - WAHOO! Course hubby and I didnt get a 5 hour stretch b/c I pumped after he ate and we had to get the dogs ready for bed, and ourselves... it was pretty cool that he slept straight thru till 2:30ish though! That's cool that you guys are already doing the Baby Wise stuff... I'm telling you - my friends swear it works if you keep it up! T lost his belly button crusty a few days ago, when he was 11 days old I think... that thing was nasty - bleck! I'm glad they cut the plastic thing off before we left the hospital though, so it was just the stump. Yes we are blessed to have such wonderful men in our lives - I feel so lucky!
