Hi everyone!

Been trying for 2 and a half YEARS to get pg after a m/c in March 05. I'm very excited and had pretty much given up hope when this happened!! So don't give up!

11/23/07

My u/s is next Friday! I'm so excited I can't wait! I'm also a little nervous because I've had a bad experience before. I'll keep everyone posted! Good luck to all you ladies!

11/30/07

Just got back from u/s and it turns out I am almost 11 weeks!!!! I got to see my baby moving around inside me! It was amazing!!!! heartbeat at 182 bpm and a big head like his daddy!! 8 weekers, keep me posted on your progress and I hope to meet some 10 weekers like myself soon!!!

12/26/07

Last Friday I had the first part of my quad screen(which I opted for as opposed to amnio or CVS testing). Everything was wonderful! Baby's heartbeat was 160! They also measured the nuchal translucency and it was normal at 1.8. We will find out the sex in about a month when I go back for the second part of the test, which is a level 2 ultrasound. Hope everyone's enjoying their holidays!!!

1/24/08

(sigh) Well, I had the much anticipated, gender-telling u/s today and...the tech couldn't tell! Apparently my baby is just like his mommy in that when he gets woken up from a nap, he gets grumpy! He(she) stayed scrunched up the ENTIRE time!! Baby is healthy with a heart rate of 153, and everything looked normal! I'm just a little disappointed, because I set myself up for the last month worrying over whether I would not be able to wait for hubby to get home from Australia. I worried for NOTHING!! Now I have no idea how long I'll have to wait to find out!

2/4/08

I feel like a moron whining and bitching like I was after reading shellie77's story. She is a very stong person. I'll have to remember her next time I catch myself grumping about being uncomfortable or not knowing what the sex is! Tomorrow I have my monthly checkup so I will ask the doc if I'm going to have another u/s. I hope I will get another. I'm a planner, and I need to plan all this stuff out, that's why I need to know the sex! LOL Take care mommies!

2/7/08

IT'S A GIRL!!! I know I said I wanted a boy, but I don't really care now!!! LOL My doctor's office just got u/s equipment and they did another u/s for us just to tell us the gender!! The best part of all is they're not charging us for it! I'm so stoked! I can't wait to see my little girl! My daughter-gosh, it sounds so strange!!

3/24/08

Hi everyone! Back from vacation and back to the real world! Everything's great, Haylie's doing great, she LOVES the water! LOL I'll post some pics when I get a chance. I started nesting this weekend-cleaned out every closet in our house! My diabetes test is April 7th. Take care all you mommies!

4/18/08

Tomorrow is my 3D ultrasound! I can't wait to see my baby girl again! I'm waiting on the results of my 3 hour glucose test crossing my fingers! I'll post pics of Haylie when I get home tomorrow. We're getting a dvd and cd of her scan, so I hope she cooperates! Everything going well, though I have a lot of the complaints I see everyone else has on here! 9 weeks will go by so fast! I'm not ready yet!!!! ;)

5/2/08

Well, ladies I have the dreaded GD!!! It's been a couple of weeks and I hadn't heard from the dietician yet. My doc said I could just eat like I was on South Beach diet again and that should be fine. Hubby and I were on that for 2 years, so it's pretty easy to go back to. I had one of my showers last weekend and have another tomorrow for "couples." Everyone has been very generous! Haylie's got LOTS of stuff to come home to! =)

6/3/08

Oh, 37 weeks!!! My goodness we're almost there! Just came from the dr. and they estimate Haylie weighs 7 lbs, 4 oz. I think they estimate me a week behind what I actually am. I have not had my GBS test yet, not until next week. Oh well, she's healthy, that's what matters. I'll be the one on here @ 43 weeks complaining while everyone's had their babies!! LOL

6/13/08

Woohoo! The doc said today I will not go past my due date! So if Haylie decides not to make an appearance before then, at least I know she'll be here before July! I'm getting sooo nervous and anxious to meet my daughter! I can't wait to see who she looks like more! It's the first Father's Day for my hubby and I can't wait to make it special =) Take care ladies, and lots of labor dust to you all!

I know huh? I've thought a few times it's just him showing his dismay about SOMETHING but at the same time, it seems to happen more frequently when I add more formula to his bottles. So I dont know if it's just gas from the change in his diet or what. Holy hell - with all my family in town, his schedule is SO thrown off! He isnt napping during the day worth poop and has been cranky b/c of it! Poor little man! Too much going on downstairs for him to focus on sleeping upstairs I guess! I'll just get family gone before my mom comes into town only to continue to throw things I'm off sure. Sigh...

junebb08 - Thursday, 4 September
No - the last time he flipped out, he was throwing himself backwards! It's just so unlike him to be SOOO upset like that, the only thing I can think is it's gas b/c I had up'd his formula to 3.5 oz from 2.5 - I think I up'd it too much too quickly so yesterday I took it back down to 3 oz - the rest being boob milk of course... Poor man! 27.99 for 3 bottles? Holy hell!!! I guess if they work it's worth it though huh?

junebb08 - Wednesday, 3 September
Not bad if it'll extend the life of a few outfits! Holy crap that's funny! She just wants to be part of the action - LOL! TOo cute! Glad she's doing better w/ the gas and such. bornfree? Less gassy bottles or what? cuz Tyler is OUT OF CONTROL these last few days! I can only guess it's gas but he will start screaming for like 40 minutes and wont want to eat. It's HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

junebb08 - Monday, 1 September
Ooh that is a genius idea for the onesies - were they pricey?? Dont you wish you could have been the one to invent those? Dang...

junebb08 - Saturday, 30 August
I hear ya - I dont get why they dont make the clothes longer b/c T has a few jammies like that. He cant wear em anymore b/c his little legs are too long and it just doesnt fit right! Oh gosh - I know! I'm NOT buying ANY clothes until I lose some weight - 10 lbs left which are the hardest to loose! Why did the first 25 come off w/ out even thinking about it? GRR! For my bday, everyone got me gift certificates and stuff and I refuse to use them on clothes. Sigh... Oh gawd - that's true - I forgot about the weight gain on the pill!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! I havent gone back on BC yet but was going to after I'm done pumping... jeesh... I'm glad you said something b/c I'd forgotten, but what else am I gunne do? Crap!

junebb08 - Thursday, 28 August
So Mr T had his 2 month appointment today - he was 10 lbs 11 oz and 23 3/4 inches long. That puts him in the 50th % for his height and 25% for his weight! He's doing great - even showing off for the pediatrician by rolling over - YAAY!!!

junebb08 - Wednesday, 27 August
Haha - gotta love those daytime naps when you can have me time and do whatever you want! well within reason I guess.... I'd love nothing more than to get a haircut b/c it's been like 4 months but sadly I cant just get up and go, u know? Besides I need to find a new hair dresser b/c mine is an hour a way and I just dont feel like driving an hour there and an hour back when I have a beautiful baby at home that I want to spend time with! And bringing him would be a disaster - ugh... oh well. Crap I need to call the insurance company... better run!

junebb08 - Tuesday, 26 August
Ugh - that's tough when your baby wont nap during the day! Makes it virtually impossible to get ANYTHING done around the house I can imagine... I always take advantage of T's naps and rush around trying to get stuff done before he wakes up. Or, I'll take a nap too - HAHA! Well, I'd read that you shouldnt really swaddle them once they can roll over - I assume they mean from back to tummy and he hasnt done that yet.... I guess I'd rather break him of it now rather than later - not really a HAVE to thing at this point. We figure we'll start w/ his daytime naps - which we have - NO MORE FULL SWADDLE! He's done okay... Last week I was giving him a few naps w/ his full swaddle but this week, not at all. We'll still swaddle @ night though b/c there's been a few times when he's woken up b/c he's broken free of his swaddle at 4 am which isnt fun when I'm used to sleeping in till at least 6! He's getting better falling asleep on his own w/ out being totally swaddled so that's a good thing! I'll let him fuss for a few minutes, then go in and sssh him for a few... then leave, and he usually falls asleep after that. Today is T's 2 month birthday - I'm SOOO sad! Time flies, huh? We're going to do the same thing we did last month - I'm going to get a delicious fudgy brownie and we'll sing happy birthday and take pictures! LOL! We are such nerds! I just think it'll be fun one day to look back at each month - u know?

breezee - Tuesday, 26 August
Hi! Good news, I got another two coupons in the mail yesterday, I'll get them out in the next few days. I know what you mean about the "me" time, I still don't get much of that and when I do it is so nice.
Maddi is the same way with sleep, sometimes she fights sleep so much that she gets maybe 8 hours total in a 24 hour period, and yet she is so bitchy because she is so tired. Unfortunately, since we have always swaddled and rocked her to sleep that is the only way she will go to sleep so if we are out shopping and she decides she's tired the only option is to take her home and try to get her to sleep.
I do notice improvements pretty much daily though, I can put her in her exersaucer for longer periods of time every day.

This week has been pretty difficult because I have officially returned to work full time so my Hubby and I wake @ 4:30 have Maddi to my Mom's by 6:15 (32 miles away), go to work until 4:30, drive back to my Mom's get Maddi and be home by about 6:00, so of course we get home and have time to do nothing but play with Maddi eat dinner and go to bed. I am a bit of an OCD neat freak so it drives me nuts to not even be able to empty the dishwasher until the weekend as the dishes pile in the sink, that is so not ME!! But it's better than dropping Maddi of at some daycare so what can I do?

I promise it will get better, and before you know it the highlight of your day will be seeing your babies smiling face. Hang in there!!

Hi! How have you been? Well Today is my 10 year old's first day of school, he is in the 5th grade, wow my baby boy is growing up so fast! Sofia turned 4 months old this past Saturday. I take her for her 4 month check up this Wednesday. I dread it because she will be getting shots. They get the same set of shots at 4 months that they did at 2 months. How is little Miss Haylie? Sofia is taking a nap right now. Do you have Haylie on a schedule or any type of routine? We don't really have Sofia on a schedule. She eats when she wants to eat and sleeps when she wants to sleep. How is Haylie sleeping? Sofia sleeps for 7-8 hours at night and she naps during the day but I don't keep track of how much she naps. A playdate sounds like a lot of fun. I have noticed that it is a little quieter and kinda lonely now that my son is back at school, gosh and I only dropped him off like 2 hours ago. Now that Sofia is a little older, I am looking into story times at the local libraries or Barnes and Noble, maybe we could go to a story time together. I was also thinking of looking into a play place like Play Space or something like that but she may be too young for that. Keep in touch! Write soon :) Kristin

breezee - Monday, 25 August
Hi, thanks, I just went to babies R us on Saturday and used the last four coupons I had!!
Things R good, Maddi is getting a lot less fussy, it is so nice to actually enjoy the time I spend with her. We are trying to figure out how to get all the food she needs into her during the day so that she will stop waking at night but since she can't eat more than about 3 or 4 ounces every 3-4 hours it is very difficult. I hope the prevacid she's been on for the last few days helps us get more food into in time.
How are things going for you? Has the crying goten any better?

junebb08 - Monday, 25 August
Yep! She changed his diet around and he seems to be fine now though. There's also a possible link between allergies as well. There's so much information out there, it's hard to keep up and know what's truthful and what's just opinion. My managers husband was a huge advocate of the delayed vaccine schedule and had done a ton of research on it. He's the one that got me interested in finding out more and finding a pediatrician who was going to support us with everything. Thankfully, I think we've found one! ANYWAY - that's great that your mom's in town this week! Bet she's LOVING some grandbaby time!! My mom will be here the 11th and is staying for over a week - wahoo! She said she couldnt wait until Xmas to see Mr T again so she's coming out for her b-day! Interesting that the soy didnt fill her up as much. She obviously digested that way differently than the milk based formula! Ugh - we are trying to break Mr T of the swaddle and so far for his morning nap, it's not going so well. Its like, u know they are tired as hell but they just wont sleep b/c they dont have the comfort of being swaddled, or a binky - whatever the 'drug' of choice is! We are only swaddling his lower half and leaving his arms out but still swaddling him fully @ night. He'll wake up in the middle of the night if he's broken an arm free and scream like the dickens! I think he's finally asleep for his am nap though - wonder if I dare get on the treadmill...

junebb08 - Sunday, 24 August
Well we are super anal first off... and since the link between autism and vaccines isnt 100% proven one way or the other, we've decided to be overly cautious and delay getting them. Thankfully our pediatrician is completely behind us which we honestly didnt think we'd find. We were originally going to the only guy at the practice - it's his practice in fact... he's an older guy and was open to us delaying them but we didnt feel we had his support. After seeing this other women in the practice twice and talking to her about them the last time we were there (at his 1 month, knowing he was 'due' for shots @ his next visit), we both share similar views on the vaccines and decided to switch over to seeing her for all our appointments. She recommended this book called The Vaccine Book that I have yet to order but she said it's great b/c it gives you the facts on vaccines, not pursuavisive arguments for why you should or shouldnt get them like you'd find online. So that's my story... enfamil? I wonder if I have any of those coupons... I think I only have similac. If I get any, u want me to send them to you too? I've got some enfamil and similac samples in my pantry but not the gentlease kind. The generic we get says it's comparable to those brands so I was debating mixing them in w/ the generic just b/c I hate to see them go to waste, u know? Too funny about her milestones! I've heard that some babies are like that - hitting them all at once. My friends son didnt talk for the longest time, then all the sudden she went to get him out of his bed one morning and he was just talking away and hasnt shut up since! So random! Everytime T smiles at me I get teary eyed - still! Isnt that weird? I hope it doesnt last forever b/c it's hard to see thru tears!

junebb08 - Friday, 22 August
Oh no - shots? Bleck! Poor girl... we are delaying vaccines w/ T and wont get any till he's at least 6 months old. So she's been enjoying tummy time more it sounds like, especially if she was sleeping on her tummy! T's only rolled over a few more times since Sunday but lately, he just gets really pissed when we put him on his stomach! I dont know why... Did I already ask you what formula your using? Did I tell u we put T on generic stuff from Walmart? The pediatrician said it's virtually the same and just as good - and it's more than $10 cheaper!!!

junebb08 - Thursday, 21 August
Holy mother of gawd - assplosion - that's the funniest thing I've heard all day, swear!!! I dunno about T's poo - I asked a friend of mine who's daughter was exclusively on formula and she said her's were WAY runny too - so I dunno. He didnt poo yesterday and so far has poo'd twice today - first one was thicker, but the second was way runny again. No assplosions though - LOL! That's going to be my new favorite saying, thanks! 2 month check up? Let me know how much she weighs and all that. T's isnt till the 27th. Yeha, he's still in 0-3 month stuff but is quickly growing OUT of his newborn stuff. There's a few onesies he can still wear, but not for much longer. Holy crap - are you serious? You guys missed her rolling over? OHNO!! From tummy to back or back to tummy?? T rolled over from tummy to back Sunday for the first time @ Grandma and Grandpas house! I almost cried, but held back since we were at the inlaws house... I cried once we left though... still so emotional about certain things! LIke when he smiles at me, I get all teary eyed! Isnt that bizarre?

junebb08 - Wednesday, 20 August
I added some new pix...

junebb08 - Wednesday, 20 August
Yeah he's been on formula (I call it half and half since it's basically half boob milk and half formula!) now for... well 3 weeks this coming Friday I guess. I'm upping it this week though just slightly from 2 oz to like 2.5 in each bottle. The gradual incline in formula will hopefully help his tummy in the whole transition! Poor baby bellys! Gross Q, but what is Haylie's poo like? Our pediatrician said that the poo should get more firm on formula but in our case, it's WAYYY more runny! I talked to my friend about it the other day and she said her daughter was the same way. It didnt start firming up until she got on solids... Are you still doing rice cereal??

breezee - Tuesday, 19 August
I'm so sorry to hear about the colic, it is really hard to deal, Maddi cried pretty much all day from the time that she was 5 days old to about 3 1/2 months, she is just now getting better, Have you tried the book "Happiest baby on the block"? it helped us quite a bit.
Hang in there! It will get better soon!

breezee - Tuesday, 19 August
Hi, I just received another enfamil coupon today, I should have it mailed in the next few days!!
How are things going?

krisaustin2 - Saturday, 16 August
Hi! Thanks for the comment :) Sofia had her 3 month pics done at Portrait Innovations too but we went to Southpoint. There is a Portrait Innovations right across from the mall and just a few doors down from Babies R Us. They weren't that busy when we were there and the photographer took 58 different pics which made it nearly impossible to narrow down the poses. I am glad that we got a CD of all 58 images. How did you like Portrait Innovations in Cary? Gotta go! Keep in touch :) Kristin

krisaustin2 - Saturday, 16 August
Awwwww Haylie finally in her Bumbo :) She is so cute!

breezee - Tuesday, 12 August
I got the coupon today, again, thanks, every little bit helps!!!
