Been trying for 2 and a half YEARS to get pg after a m/c in March 05. I'm very excited and had pretty much given up hope when this happened!! So don't give up!

Just got back from u/s and it turns out I am almost 11 weeks!!!! I got to see my baby moving around inside me! It was amazing!!!! heartbeat at 182 bpm and a big head like his daddy!! 8 weekers, keep me posted on your progress and I hope to meet some 10 weekers like myself soon!!!

Last Friday I had the first part of my quad screen(which I opted for as opposed to amnio or CVS testing). Everything was wonderful! Baby's heartbeat was 160! They also measured the nuchal translucency and it was normal at 1.8. We will find out the sex in about a month when I go back for the second part of the test, which is a level 2 ultrasound. Hope everyone's enjoying their holidays!!!

(sigh) Well, I had the much anticipated, gender-telling u/s today and...the tech couldn't tell! Apparently my baby is just like his mommy in that when he gets woken up from a nap, he gets grumpy! He(she) stayed scrunched up the ENTIRE time!! Baby is healthy with a heart rate of 153, and everything looked normal! I'm just a little disappointed, because I set myself up for the last month worrying over whether I would not be able to wait for hubby to get home from Australia. I worried for NOTHING!! Now I have no idea how long I'll have to wait to find out!

I feel like a moron whining and bitching like I was after reading shellie77's story. She is a very stong person. I'll have to remember her next time I catch myself grumping about being uncomfortable or not knowing what the sex is! Tomorrow I have my monthly checkup so I will ask the doc if I'm going to have another u/s. I hope I will get another. I'm a planner, and I need to plan all this stuff out, that's why I need to know the sex! LOL Take care mommies!

IT'S A GIRL!!! I know I said I wanted a boy, but I don't really care now!!! LOL My doctor's office just got u/s equipment and they did another u/s for us just to tell us the gender!! The best part of all is they're not charging us for it! I'm so stoked! I can't wait to see my little girl! My daughter-gosh, it sounds so strange!!

Hi everyone! Back from vacation and back to the real world! Everything's great, Haylie's doing great, she LOVES the water! LOL I'll post some pics when I get a chance. I started nesting this weekend-cleaned out every closet in our house! My diabetes test is April 7th. Take care all you mommies!

Tomorrow is my 3D ultrasound! I can't wait to see my baby girl again! I'm waiting on the results of my 3 hour glucose test crossing my fingers! I'll post pics of Haylie when I get home tomorrow. We're getting a dvd and cd of her scan, so I hope she cooperates! Everything going well, though I have a lot of the complaints I see everyone else has on here! 9 weeks will go by so fast! I'm not ready yet!!!! ;)

Well, ladies I have the dreaded GD!!! It's been a couple of weeks and I hadn't heard from the dietician yet. My doc said I could just eat like I was on South Beach diet again and that should be fine. Hubby and I were on that for 2 years, so it's pretty easy to go back to. I had one of my showers last weekend and have another tomorrow for "couples." Everyone has been very generous! Haylie's got LOTS of stuff to come home to! =)

Oh, 37 weeks!!! My goodness we're almost there! Just came from the dr. and they estimate Haylie weighs 7 lbs, 4 oz. I think they estimate me a week behind what I actually am. I have not had my GBS test yet, not until next week. Oh well, she's healthy, that's what matters. I'll be the one on here @ 43 weeks complaining while everyone's had their babies!! LOL

Woohoo! The doc said today I will not go past my due date! So if Haylie decides not to make an appearance before then, at least I know she'll be here before July! I'm getting sooo nervous and anxious to meet my daughter! I can't wait to see who she looks like more! It's the first Father's Day for my hubby and I can't wait to make it special =) Take care ladies, and lots of labor dust to you all!

Hi! Thanks for the comment :) Sofia had her 3 month pics done at Portrait Innovations too but we went to Southpoint. There is a Portrait Innovations right across from the mall and just a few doors down from Babies R Us. They weren't that busy when we were there and the photographer took 58 different pics which made it nearly impossible to narrow down the poses. I am glad that we got a CD of all 58 images. How did you like Portrait Innovations in Cary? Gotta go! Keep in touch :) Kristin

LOL - flapping in the breeze - let us hope not!!! U know - sadly I never worked out before I had a baby and cant imagine starting now. I always have high hopes of getting into shape and being healthy but I absolutely HATE to exercise! I dont mind getting on the treadmill while I watch Paula Dean on the Food Network... but aside from that - yeah, not so into it. Kinda makes loosing these last 10lbs a chore huh?

So does mine, and I'm pretty sure Maddi's pediatrician thought the same when we went in yesterday and I was telling him, I was already aware of all the tricks to help prevent reflux, but come on, do they think I haven't already tried everything already??? Hello, the internet is like the greatest thing ever when it comes to figuring out how to handle health issues without seeing your doc every week.

Thanks, but I am using the Alimentum, that's why I am in need of coupons because the alimentum is 26 dollars for the small can and she goes through one every 6 or so days. I got your coupon sent out today so you should see it in a few days, I love this website, I think it's great that all of us new mommies can help each other out!!!

I know - I hate when my mind wanders into thinking about horrible stuff like that! it's awful!!! I'm always worrying that someone is going to leave me in a bad way (accident or something terrible) and I wont be able to cope with it. Weird huh? ANYWAY - had my 6 week post partum appointment today... guess things healed funny down there - she was trying to explain to me what happened but I didnt get it - I'm visual and cant very well see my bits in the same light she can! HA! Anyway, she said to give sex a try - she didnt think it would be painful or anything... she said she could snip the piece of skin that grew funny (?? - again, still dont get it!) but I was a little weary of her bring scissors anywhere near my bits w/ out another epidural - LOL! She asked if I would mind if she got the other dr to look at it, but he was busy... weird. I'm curious what's going on down there, and if sex will hurt. gosh, cant imagine finding time for sex... did get a bag of condoms though until I get either an IUD put in, or... maybe a script for some pills. Sigh...

Oh my gosh. I just read your post about the BF issues. The EXACT same thing happened to me. She got so used to the milk flowing freely and fast from the bottle and wouldn't nurse. I was pumping but not making enough milk. I even went so far as to take Fenugreek capsules and drink Mothers Milk tea to increase my milk supply. I am sad to say I just had to quit pumping because it wasn't worth all the time it took away from my other kids to pump such a little amount. I wasn't even getting an ounce at a time for 20 minutes! I quit pumping about 1 month ago and sometimes I can still cry thinking about it.

well supposedly pumping more promotes more milk which generally speaking, the bigger one already produces more than the smaller one - so maybe pumping the smaller one would help - who knows! Supposedly it's TOTALLY normal (but why be normal? I just want even boobs again!) for one boob to make more milk, hence the bigger boob thing.. oh well. u guys had sex and didnt use a condom? Oh crap - LOL! wouldnt u just die getting knocked this soon? I totally hear u - I was for sure I didnt want anymore, then I fell in love with T and I'm almost rethinking things. It took me a while to fall in love though - it was in his 4th week that I could say I loved him, but not until this past weekend I believe when it hit me - light bulb moment I guess!!! I have this horrible over active imagination (especially when all is quiet and I'm trying to fall asleep @ night...) and always think horrible things will happen in my life - like my husband dying or my parents dying - it's pretty twisted! Anyway, lately I've been having horrible thoughs about something happening to T and I cant even stand it. I would have to be committed if something happened to him! It's like, U love your husband and u know that love... but the love for your child is so much deeper! It's crazy...

well it's not the same, ingredient for ingredient. A lot of generic stuff is exactly the same though - I hope he does okay on it. We'll introduce it (10 CC's in his bottles for a few days... we're doing it slowly!) starting Friday and hope for the best! Yes - I actually have mixed emotions about being done pumping - oddly enough! I'm happy obviously but kinda sad too. I like the idea of being able to feed my son with milk I'M making and that part of it makes me want to continue doing it - HOWEVER - I wont!!! I'm a little worried though b/c my left boob is a good cup size larger than my right - which WASNT the case before all of this happened with my milk coming in, ect... so I'm worried when everything dries up, it'll still be that way!!!! I'll just die! I'll HAVE to have a boob job for SURE then!!! Are you and your hubby going to have anymore babies?? I have my 6 week check up friday (on my b-day of all days - poof!) and will discuss birth control with my midwife. I kinda want an IUD but kinda want to go back on the pill where u only get your period once every 3 months - LOVED that!! Hubby wants more kids and the IUD can (can also be removed sooner of course!) stay in place for 5 years... but I'm not sold on another baby... sigh...

well supposedly the generic stuff is comparable to the name brand stuff - and it's a HELL of a lot cheaper! I bought a big container @ Walmart for 11.99 and the regular stuff is 24.99 I think... crazy stuff I swear! I have some samples of Enfamil and Similac that I'll probably integrate into the generic at some point - I hope he isnt too gassy with the switch - we'll start it next weekend. YIKES! 9-12 hours? WTF? No, I hadnt really been reading the postings... obviously - LOL! I woulda been jealous for sure. Tyler slept 6 hours last night, then went back to bed for 3.5 - almost... 7 or 8 would be nice. I was hoping he would do better when we switched him to formula b/c they say that boob milk breaks down easier in their systems leaving them feeling hungry sooner - we'll see how he does I guess. But u very well could be right - they arent hearing the babies crying and they sooth themselves back to sleep. I almost wonder if I hadnt gotten up w/ T this am at 4, if he woulda just fallen back to sleep. He wasnt wailing full on - he'd cry then stop for a few... then cry a little more. I had to get up and pump (holy crap my boobs were KILLING ME going 6 hours w/ out pumping - weaning myself off pumping when we switch him to formula is going to HURT like a MOTHER!) so I figured I might as well get up and feed him too. Sigh... Thankfully I dont have to return to work so the interuptions @ night dont bother me as much as they would if I had places to be! Still - WOULD be nice to get more sleep than I am...

Yeah he eats pretty well - but the last few days he's gone from 110 CC's to 90ish/100ish... kinda weird. He fights thru the last bit of the bottle too and has HORRIBLE gas! He'll just open his mouth mid such and start crying and his face turns all red! Poor dear! Hubby bought some formula today @ Walmart - generic kind - did you know they had generic formula? Our pediatrician said it's just as good as the name brand, and the savings is crazy! We are jumping right into the gentle formula (I wont start it right away though...) b/c his gas is so bad now. I'd hate to put him on a regular formula and have it be worse! Anyhooters - BRU sounds fun! I still need to go and get more swaddlers dang it! A friend found out she's having a baby girl today (due just before Xmas - crazy!) and I wanted to get her a couple too since they are on sale. I swear that's my most favorite baby item - Tyler loves them, they make him feel SO secure! Anyway yes we have taxes here unfortunately! Tax free weekend? Man that sounds great... I'm not sure what our tax here is in my city - 7 something I think... it stinks!

Hi Colleen, pragathi is doing good..she will be 12 weeks on saturday...good to know that Haylie is doing good..10.10 @1month is good weight, pragy weighed 10.6 on her first month..12 on her 2nd..did u guys go out anywhere?do u get some time for urself..for me, pragy is pretty much clinging onto me..refusing to take bottle of my milk when i am around..i hope she will get better once I start work next week...takecare, keep in touch
