Been trying for 2 and a half YEARS to get pg after a m/c in March 05. I'm very excited and had pretty much given up hope when this happened!! So don't give up!

My u/s is next Friday! I'm so excited I can't wait! I'm also a little nervous because I've had a bad experience before. I'll keep everyone posted! Good luck to all you ladies!

Just got back from u/s and it turns out I am almost 11 weeks!!!! I got to see my baby moving around inside me! It was amazing!!!! heartbeat at 182 bpm and a big head like his daddy!! 8 weekers, keep me posted on your progress and I hope to meet some 10 weekers like myself soon!!!

Last Friday I had the first part of my quad screen(which I opted for as opposed to amnio or CVS testing). Everything was wonderful! Baby's heartbeat was 160! They also measured the nuchal translucency and it was normal at 1.8. We will find out the sex in about a month when I go back for the second part of the test, which is a level 2 ultrasound. Hope everyone's enjoying their holidays!!!

(sigh) Well, I had the much anticipated, gender-telling u/s today and...the tech couldn't tell! Apparently my baby is just like his mommy in that when he gets woken up from a nap, he gets grumpy! He(she) stayed scrunched up the ENTIRE time!! Baby is healthy with a heart rate of 153, and everything looked normal! I'm just a little disappointed, because I set myself up for the last month worrying over whether I would not be able to wait for hubby to get home from Australia. I worried for NOTHING!! Now I have no idea how long I'll have to wait to find out!

I feel like a moron whining and bitching like I was after reading shellie77's story. She is a very stong person. I'll have to remember her next time I catch myself grumping about being uncomfortable or not knowing what the sex is! Tomorrow I have my monthly checkup so I will ask the doc if I'm going to have another u/s. I hope I will get another. I'm a planner, and I need to plan all this stuff out, that's why I need to know the sex! LOL Take care mommies!

IT'S A GIRL!!! I know I said I wanted a boy, but I don't really care now!!! LOL My doctor's office just got u/s equipment and they did another u/s for us just to tell us the gender!! The best part of all is they're not charging us for it! I'm so stoked! I can't wait to see my little girl! My daughter-gosh, it sounds so strange!!

Hi everyone! Back from vacation and back to the real world! Everything's great, Haylie's doing great, she LOVES the water! LOL I'll post some pics when I get a chance. I started nesting this weekend-cleaned out every closet in our house! My diabetes test is April 7th. Take care all you mommies!

Tomorrow is my 3D ultrasound! I can't wait to see my baby girl again! I'm waiting on the results of my 3 hour glucose test crossing my fingers! I'll post pics of Haylie when I get home tomorrow. We're getting a dvd and cd of her scan, so I hope she cooperates! Everything going well, though I have a lot of the complaints I see everyone else has on here! 9 weeks will go by so fast! I'm not ready yet!!!! ;)

Well, ladies I have the dreaded GD!!! It's been a couple of weeks and I hadn't heard from the dietician yet. My doc said I could just eat like I was on South Beach diet again and that should be fine. Hubby and I were on that for 2 years, so it's pretty easy to go back to. I had one of my showers last weekend and have another tomorrow for "couples." Everyone has been very generous! Haylie's got LOTS of stuff to come home to! =)

Oh, 37 weeks!!! My goodness we're almost there! Just came from the dr. and they estimate Haylie weighs 7 lbs, 4 oz. I think they estimate me a week behind what I actually am. I have not had my GBS test yet, not until next week. Oh well, she's healthy, that's what matters. I'll be the one on here @ 43 weeks complaining while everyone's had their babies!! LOL

Woohoo! The doc said today I will not go past my due date! So if Haylie decides not to make an appearance before then, at least I know she'll be here before July! I'm getting sooo nervous and anxious to meet my daughter! I can't wait to see who she looks like more! It's the first Father's Day for my hubby and I can't wait to make it special =) Take care ladies, and lots of labor dust to you all!

Oh yeah - the best HAS come!!! HA! I woke up at 3:30 to pee, crawled back into bed and had a contraction. Then I felt like I had to go #2� do you ever feel like that during a contraction?? It's weird� anyway, I went downstairs to take care of that� and when I wiped (lights on this time!) there was a big blob of it on the tp! Then when I got up at 4:40 (for good this time!) I went pee before showering and there was another big blob of it! SO gross!!! I definitely haven't had discharge like that being prego so that HAS to be what it is! EWE! Yes let me know how the appointment goes� mom is coming into town Monday.

Okay so I was just on the pot... and when I wiped, I looked at the tp, and there was a stringy boogery brownish thing on it - not big or anything... maybe it's a piece of my plug?? I showed it to my hubby who was in there w/ me and he didnt think it was anything - but it's DEFINITELY unlike ANY discharge I've seen while being prego!!! Is that how yours started, when you thought you might have lost it yesterday or whatever??? So gross... bleck! Yeah I'd be mad at my dr if I were you - getting you all antsy like they did!

Hi! No, haven't had her yet...went to the doc this morning and she said that my cervix is softer and thinner but still not dilated at all yet. Which is good cuz hubby won't get home until Monday night. :) I have a feeling I'm gonna go past my due date. Which is okay w/ me - as long as my hubby's here! I'm picking his 9yr old Rachael up at the airport on Sat. She'll be up here for summer. I can't wait to see her

I'm sorry I've been outta touch for awhile. Just haven't been on the computer much now that I'm not working. Been so busy w/ other things ya know? I think I'm ready as I'll ever be for little Maddy to come now. All her clothes are washed and put away. Changing table, bassinet - everything's ready. Except the car seat. I'm gonna have the car detailed tomorrow to get rid of all the dog hair, then put the car seat in and have it inspected to make sure it's in right. Other than that, and my hospital bag (which I still haven't packed!) I'm as ready as I think I can be! House is clean, everything's just about done.

How about you? Any news yet??? How are you feeling?

I swear to you - EVERYONE is going to have their babies before me!!!! This girl I work with is due 2 days after me, and yesterday I found out they moved her DD to July 1st b/c the measurements were off or something. I dunno - I left before she showed up for work so I never go the story from her� ANYWAY, this am I find out her water broke and she's having contractions so she called her dr and the dr said she'd meet her @ the hospital. Sure enough, she's at a 3 and is 100%.... GRR!!! I was supposed to have mine before HER! I'm just jealous� sigh� and now you - what if you have yours before me too? I'll feel so left out. I want to go next! LOL!!!!! Can going into labor mess w/ your sugar levels?? Those do sound all over the map, eh?? How's your pain tolerance? Pretty high? Maybe you are entering the home stretch - lets hope eh??

Holy crap that's NASTY!!!!!!! Was it in the toilet?? EWE!!! I havent seen anything like that in the pot so I'm guessing mine hasn�t fallen out yet - bleck! LOL - u REALLY lost it this am? That made me chuckle a little� what's it look like? Yeah damn full moon anyway� my hubby thought for SURE his prediction would ring true! Ooh yes, that's really not a terrible idea, getting some meals together for afterward. I made two lasagna's this week and froze one. So yeah - that's ONE whole meal in the freezer! My mom said she'd make extra stuff while she was in town so that'll be helpful. Wonder what else I can make and freeze� hmm� hubby doesn�t cook so I fear we'll live on Subway and Chipotle after my mom leaves!

Yeah it's the mentally ready part that is harder to get to! But I think I'm there also - and am DEFINITELY done being prego! That's stupid about your work - your last day was this Friday anyway, and if your replacement is there and working - what do they care! For heavens sake� I think next Wednesday might be my last day - certainly I can make it another week right? My mom gets in Monday and will probably head down south to visit my grandparents when she gets in. They are only about 1.5 hours away� she'll stay thru Wednesday am and then head back up to see me. Then I'll get my membranes stripped that afternoon and hope for labor. I'll take a half day Wednesday and take off Thursday and Friday� I've gotta check my vacation balance b/c I know it's getting thin� might take off the following Monday if he isn't born yet - we'll see. She mentioned the possibility of an induction if I wanted (b/c I'm stressing about my mom only being here thru the 11th, and my hubby only taking a week off�) but I'm not sure I want to take that route. I'd prefer for him to decide when he wants to come - but I'd prefer for him to make that decision sooner than later - LOL! Ahh yes, I'm a control freak!

Had my appointment today - she partially stripped my membranes but it hurt like a mother so she stopped. I'm @ a 2 now and still 70%. She'll fully strip them next wednesday when my mom's in town. She told me to get evening primrose oil (500 mg) and take that 3 X a day, and raspberry leaf tea. I immediately ran to the vitamin store and got raped buying the stuff there - oh well, I was desperate and didnt know if Safeway or Walmart would have it! I'm spotting since the exam - just a tiny bit though... ANYWAY - yes, had my pedi today as well - was FABULOUS except I think the a/c at my salon was broken b/c it was hotter than HELL in there! Ohmygosh and then I had a mini crisis @ work - realized I hadnt bought a mattress pad for the crib so after work (half day, left at 10) I ran to BRU and bought a 2 pack - only they arent mattress pads... I forget what they call them. I didnt want the fitted mattress pad anyway so this works out nicely! Sigh... now I can relax... I think...

Did your dr strip your membranes? I havent lost mine yet� sigh� I've been walking at work (just under a mile) but it doesn�t seem to be helping. Perhaps I should try walking on the treadmill @ home after work, but it's just been so darn HOT out and our treadmill is in the office, which is the hottest part of the WHOLE house - bleck! Anyway - here's to a full moon! Wonder what'll happen, if anything�

Agreed - I was reading some posting on the 39 week page about the whole full moon thing... curious how many of the ladies will actually go into labor!! It's true though - more births/deaths occur on a full moon! I asked my midwife about it last week... I figure though - I'm not lucky enough for that to happen, so here I sit... and wait... sigh...

Well that's good considering how far along you are!! I've had a fair amount of contractions today... just discomfort though, nothing painful thank gosh. I have an appointment w/ the midwife tomorrow at 1:30 - anxious to see if I've progressed from 1 and 70% - keep your fingers crossed! Yeah the exams arent... comfortable!!!!! I wonder sometimes just exactly how MUCH of her hand is going up there, b/c sometimes it feels like the whole entire fist!!

Ooh that'll be exciting - let me know how far along you are - bet you'll be surprised!! My lower back was killing me yesterday until I put on my maternity belt - that thing helps TONS!!! Do you have one? Guess at this point if you don�t, it'd be silly to go purchase one since were almost done! Surreal is right - I still cant quite grasp the concept yet myself!!! I cant even begin to imagine how different my life will be after he's born - it'll never ever be the same - never again. I'm starting to get really scared for labor. As badly as I want him out, I'm scared almost to the point of NOT wanting him to come out - if that makes any sense at all!!! I'm glad you logged on - I was starting to wonder if you'd gone into labor after all! It's scary @ this stage in the game when you don�t hear from people like you normally do, you know? I automatically assume something has happened - LOL! Anyway - I honestly don�t remember the maternity paperwork asking for a last day - but that really doesn�t mean anything b/c I cant even recall if I put on clean panties this am! My brain is SO scattered - I forgot to take my pills this am (Choline/DHA/Cal/Mag) and think I forgot yesterday am also� It's getting really bad. My motivation at work is zero right now which makes me feel like a complete jack ass. I hate not wanting to work but I've got so much running through my head right now, I cant focus on ANYTHING but having this kid! You know?? I made an appointment on the 24th to have my membranes stripped. My midwife wasn�t in on the 23rd unfortunately so I guess waiting an extra day isn't a huge deal - eh? I'm going to talk to her about it @ this Wednesday's appointment to make sure she'll do it next Tuesday, otherwise I'll just cancel the appointment. My mom gets in 1 on the 23rd� I think I'll start taking some time off next week - definitely Tuesday if she strips the membranes� and probably half of Monday as well so I can visit with my mom. Maybe I'll get lucky and go into labor Tuesday - that'd be great timing!!!

Hi! I saw that you are on glyburide for your G/D. I was just told that I need injections and I am scared to death of doing that. I want to do whats best for the baby but I want to be able to explore all of my options. Was that something you specifically asked for? Or was it offered to you? It looks like for now, I will only need the injections at night, so I don't know if taking medicine will be an option for me. Any info you have would be much appreciated. Thank you :)

Ohmygosh I TOTALLY forgot to tell you - my sister in law (the one who was in Paris) found a onesie WITH the Eiffel tower on it that says 'PARIS' - she got me one, size 12 months. It's too cute! I'll take a picture tonight (if I remember) and post it on the site so you can see. I told her your hubby found the one w/ the giraffe's and she said she saw that one too, but didn�t buy it�
