IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!
I have two wonderful boys and "hoping"for a girl this time (since it will be the last!!!!)
I've been a member for a few weeks and realized that I haven't really posted about my family. My brain isn't working as well as it should these past few months!!
My story is that I had my oldest son when I was 19. I really never expected to have anymore kids. His dad and I split up when he was less than a year old (the best thing I've ever done!!). When I was 24 I had a cyst on my right ovary that had grown to about the size of an orange and had damaged my right tube, so when they took out the cyst the dr took out my right tube as well.
Then about 7 years ago I met a very wonderful man!! We never really talked about having kids, but about a month after a vacation we went on my period was late(no big deal I'd sometimes go 6 mos w/out a period), but I thought I'd take a pregnancy test so I would start (funny logic, I know). But when I read the results on the test (positive!), I was blown away!! Later on that night after my man got off work I had him come over and showed him the test. Needless to say he was thrilled!!
Fast forward 3 years, we had wanted one more and had been trying for the past year and nothing had happened so my dr recommened that I have a procedure done where they inject dye into your uterus and, in my case tube, to see if there is any blockage. I did this and it hurt so bad!! The reason it hurt so bad was because the radiologist had to push extra hard while injecting the dye to remove any blockage that he could (the dye is suppose to light up the uterus and fallopian tubes and spill out the end by the ovaries, all this shows up on an xray screen while the dye is injected so the dr "sees" what is going on). He said that some people become pregnant within 3 mos after having this done due to the dye clearing out the tubes. This was done in April '08. I had my yearly exam on July 3rd. At that dr visit my dr went over the results from the "dye job" and said that my one remaining tube appeared to be blocked and if I wanted to have any more kids I would need to do IVF. WOW! So I went home depressed and told my little one's dad the news, and he said we'd save up and try that next year.
Well again I hadn't started in a little over a month so about 2 weeks after my drs appt I took a pregnancy test, thinking if I saw negative my body would start my period. Amazingly, the test said POSITIVE. You can imagine my surprise!!!
I am very excited, happy, thrilled, scared about this pregnancy. It is my 3rd, and even though I've done this before, every little cramp and ache and pain concern me. I have 2 wonderful boys, and even though I will love the baby regardless of it being a boy or girl, I would really like to know what it feels like to have a daughter!!
Oh, and did I mention I will be getting my tube tied after this one?? No more surprises for me (even though they were the best surprises I've ever had!!!).
04/01/09-------- WOW!! Having two little ones under 5 is so much different than when I had my 4 yr old!!! His older brother was 12 yrs old when he was born, so was actually a very big help to me. But with the 4 yr old and a newborn it's been crazy!! I love my kids though and can't wait for things to settle down a bit! LOL!!
she is too cute!!!!!! hope i get a girl |
