Hi all, This is my first pregnancy and it's been quiet a wild ride from the getgo. It was a total surprise, since my husband and I are still newlyweds. But, a very pleasant surprise! We're totally psyched for this little one, since we aren't getting any younger, and we hope this baby can make us grow stronger together as husband and wife.

We are referring to the baby as "he" because everyone from family to coworkers thinks we're going to have a boy.... but we are both happy either way. Our pregnancy nickname is "Claus" since the baby is due sometime right before Christmas! We also toyed with the name Dradle, since my husband is Jewish. So, "Dradle Claus" it is...Lol!

I am happy to be part of this site, and to meet other new moms and moms-to-be. This pregnancy thing is NOT easy, but I am so glad to be a woman and to experience this. Feeling those first flutters over the last few days has made 20+ years of menstruation worth it! :)

Hugs to all!

Update -- Guess we better start looking for new names because we are having a GIRL!!!! Not a boy after all. LOL! I can't wait!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

I honestly wouldn't worry about it too much. I had a friend that the dr. was so sure the baby had Down's that he really pushed her to have an abortion. She had a beautiful, perfectly normal baby girl!

I agree with what you said about 1st trimester verses the 2nd. Sure I had some ms in the first and i was a little tired, but now (although no ms) i am as tired as ever and very irratable. My poor husband. If I do catch a good energy spurt I pay for it after that. I was full of energy and got a ton done yesterday, but today I'm exausted.

Hello and congrats. Everything will be fine, just nerve racking to wait for your doc apt. I am also 7 weeks, due 12/15 and i have not been sick at all. Just super moody, like one minute crying then next min yelling and sore boobs. My doc apt is next week and i will feel so much better once i hear the heartbeat. Congrats again!
