Hello All! I'm so glad I came across this website. There is lots of great info for us 1st timers and several Mommy Experts with good advice. This is my first and it's a B-O-Y. I am very excited to meet my little person for the first time in April! Good luck to all of you!!

I don't think Malone will have any problem eating with a spoon when the time comes. We had breastfeeding issues the first few days, so I pumped colostrum and fed it to her by the spoonful. So I assume if she could do it at one day old, she'll be able to handle it later too!

hi, i add rice to my baby's bottle too for the same reason you said; to just fill him up more. He wanted to eat every hour and a half but now i can hold him off for up to three hours. I think i am going to wait until he is about 12 weeks before i try to give him some off a spoon though cuase he still pushes his tongue to the front of his mouth so he would just end up spitting out lol

I am skeptical about what Gerber advises. Of course they want your baby to eat cereal because then they will sell more cereal. But if it doesn't seem to hurt your little guy, then it must be ok. Malone still doesn't eat a ton and she seems satisfied after her meals, so we're not even thinking about cereal yet.

I know that story broke my heart. I hate people some times. How could you do that to a baby?

Jo-Mama - Saturday, 21 June
I totally relate to what you said about feeling so accomplished now. I had dreams when I was pregnant that I would forget to feed the baby or change her diaper. But you know, I'm doing it. I'm no expert, but we're doing really well. And it feels right. I'm pretty sure I was meant to be a mom. Wow. Now I'm gonna cry!

Thanks for the adorable baby comment. Jaylon is quite the handsome little devil. Isn't it weird to think that they'll be teenagers some day?

weloveourbaby - Saturday, 14 June
I know huh...too bad we can't have a play date.

weloveourbaby - Friday, 13 June
What a cute picture you posted on the 2 month post. Jaylon is adorable!

Jo-Mama - Friday, 13 June
I go by weeks too, the same way you do it. Months aren't exactly 4 weeks (except Feb) so it won't ever really match up.

I hated mixing powder so much that I switched to liquid even though it's more expensive. The clumps drove me crazy! I did the bowl trick too, but it still drove me nuts. So I bought the liquid, which I still have to mix, but it's much easier.

Thanx!

Hello, I gave the Tylonol at the Dr. office because that's what I was told to do. When our children are this small the dosage goes by weight, so I waited for the nurse to weigh him, then I asked her how much Tylonol to give. Nygel is now 11-10, so I was able to give him 3 quarters of a drop. I hope this help, and I hope it goes well...be sure to say a prayer :-)

mom2boy - Thursday, 5 June
Awe thanks. It goes by fast! Feel free to come chat in the 2 month forum anytime!!!

finally someone who is not judging me for wanting to add some cereal. thanks so much. how much cereal for how many ozs. of breastmilk or formula did you use. My mom told me about this and i figure she wouldn't do anything to hurt our baby.

brandi0881 - Wednesday, 28 May
Thank you! Yea that is her hospital pic. The lady taking the pics said it was one of the best ones she has ever seen. I am taking her to get her to get her pics made again this weekend, I hope they are as good.

It takes a lot of work but well worth it.

I know I wish I would have thought of it 5 weeks ago.. I just couldnt bring myself to spend 40 bucks on that one they sell.. Cute CUTE babY!

Jo-Mama - Tuesday, 27 May
I'm giving my baby clothes to a friend who is due in August. She'll pass them back once her little one grows out of them. Then I'll pack them away for Baby #2.

I don't plan on giving my baby cereal before 6 months, but she is totally healthy and triving, so I have no need to even consider it.

mom2boy - Wednesday, 21 May
Yeah, I was serious. LOL. My pregnancy was real easy the labor was long though. Either way I am not interested in doing it again. I'm glad some one agrees!

Jo-Mama - Friday, 16 May
I won't be putting my baby on a schedule. I like to follow the same sort of routine before bed time (listening to the same music, going through the same motions, rocking in the same chair) but we don't ever really look at the clock. And we follow her lead throughout the day. She's got her own little schedule and we need to follow her, not the other way around. So don't worry - you're not alone!

SHIZZYSBABYMAMA - Tuesday, 13 May
Thank you and congrats to you as well. Your son is such a cutie pie!

lilmamma - Monday, 12 May
