I went to the doctor yesterday to do the first trimester screening for Down syndrome… I had an ultrasound and I saw the baby moving around… sucking his thumb… playing with his mouth… it was the cutest thing ever!!! According to the u/s everything looks really good and the chances at 1/2500, I also got a blood test that will be ready next week the doctor said it should lower or increase the chance, but according to his prospective looks really good!! Thank God! I was so nervous!! The baby spread his legs apart and I think it's a boy, the lady would not confirm to us because she said she is not allowed before 16 weeks!! But she laughs when I said: it's a boy I saw the little thing!! Ahahahah Does anyone found out the sex yet? Apparently in the US they won't tell you until the 16th week because it's not very accurate!! :( But I'm pretty sure it's a boy, I'm so excited!!!

Just come back from the us clinic!! It's a boy!!! IN the first 5 seconds she could see the male organs already! I was right, I knew it was a boy!!! I"m so excited!!! I got several pictures of his male organs, he showed to us many times!! It was so cute!!!!!

My baby boy 14 weeks old! Mommy loves you already!!!

haha, yep, which took about an hour of persuasion for something that lasted like 10 minutes. hahaha. but i've been losing my plug FOREVER. no kidding, it's been a week at least. i think thats what it is anyway. every morning i lose something that looks like it should have been in my nose, but it's white.

Hi there,
Just got back from my doctors appt. The Non Stress Test, fluid level check, and all that stuff turned out great. Baby is doing just fine in there! I haven't dilated any more, but I'm not up to 80% effaced. She's also dropped a little bit, though not much. I told my doc I would love for them to try inducing me by breaking my water first rather than giving me pitocin, and she said it's possible but they'd like to see the baby drop more first. She told me to mention it to the doctor on Thursday that will be inducing me. My mom had me 2 hours after her water broke, plus that allows you to walk around rather than being hooked to monitors and IVs. So I'm hoping that route will work out for me, but regardless, baby girl should be here sometime on the 8th, hopefully, unless labor ends up being really long then I guess she could come on the 9th.

hey there, so, im curious, how does 39 weeks feel? any signs of baby coming? i am so hyped with anticipation of whats going to happen, when, how, WHEN!!! i feel like i will go early but then i could be sitting here in 4 weeks going crazy!!! baby has dropped and ive lost 3 lbs...?

my blood pressure i have pregnancy induced hypertension and almost had a stroke giving natural birth to my daughter so to ward off the same thing happening again we all decided it was in my best intrest to have a controlled c section especially since my b/p has been so high for a week now we are very happy with the decision

Hey Cristty yes baby Michael and I are doing very well. Since he sleeps alot I have been trying to get some rest but its so hard cause Hubby is doing all the work. I am breastfeeding and its getting easier and easier. It was hard at first but it takes some time and practice. I hope you feel much better soon and I hope your baby Michael will be here soon. I hope everything is alright. Kepp in touch and let me know whats going on.

I am feeling really good. I'm just ready to meet her! I really didn't think she'd stay in there this long!! The women in my family tend to have babies either on time or early. My dad couldn't believe it when I told him I'd probably have an 8lb baby, and I have to remind him that even though everyone else in or family had 5-6 lb babies, they were all also born 37-38 weeks! Mine will be born close to 41 weeks. Just 4 more days at the most to go!!

im jst feelin reeli tired al time hunni, how about u? aww cool so looks like ur little 1 may b coming soon if he already measurin that big hehe im excited 4 ya =]. ive had contractions bt there not regular or painful enuff to get excited about. i also hav an appt on tuesday wen they will do a membrane sweep and tell me how dilated and effaced i am. hope he comes before then though b.c alot of people say a sweep hurts lol.

Hi Cristty its your new friend Michelle. We'll I fanally had my baby. He was born April 29, 2008 @ 12:57 am. I was in Labor for 18-19 hrs and was pushing for 3 hrs. What a hard day that was. He is doing awesome and such a very handsome man. He weighed 7lbs 12 ounces at birth. I was originally due april 27, 2008 so i had him 2 days late. We'll get in touch with me some more and when my Husband puts up pictures of baby Michael I will show them to you. Good luck:) YF, Michelle

ahhh glad to hear baby is doing good tho. bumer ur cervix is stil closed and high though. ur lucky as over in the uk the docs and midwives dont chek our cervix unless u go over 40 weeks which i unfortunately have:(. im scheduled 4 a membrane sweep on tuesday and if all else fails i havew to go in 4 an induction tuesday 13th. my little 1 still hasnt dropped also so i dont think he wants to come out hehe. we had u/s last friday because he was measuring small but turns out he weighs about 7.5 lbs which is healthy soo im glad abou tthat. make sure to keep me updated hunni xxxxx

I hope all goes well for you! Today is my due date and no signs of her coming just yet. My hubby keeps taking me out for walks because he wants her to come today. It seems like she won't be making an appearance until Thursday, though, when I get induced. I was thinking, though, that no matter what at this point this is my last weekend with just Tom (my husband) and myself. Oh my word!!! That's so crazy! Keep me posted on how things go with your pregnancy/delivery, we're getting so close!

Lol that's ok! I am patiently waiting.. if my pelvis is too small by that time I will not be able to give birth naturally, which is common in my case. I will just be happy when my little one is in my arms :) It will all be worth it for us all..just have to remember that ;)

Thank you believe it or not, those pictures were taken just shy of 6 months!! Sorry to hear about your pain, that's never easy. Well my back can't handle too much these day, I was diagnosed with roto scoliosis and spina bifida occulta years ago..I was supposed to see the spine surgeon this past January and as you can expect, it was reschedualed after waiting for three years to get in. Last night I was just standing there talking to my husband and I went to lift my leg and it felt really tight, so I looked to see what was going on and my legs were almost black...scary! I have experienced pain everyday, but I literally cant roll over or move in bed without the help of my husband. The back pain is unbareable! I'm just very happy that it is almost that time, I can meet him/her :)

My doctor gave me some stronger cream to put on my belly to help with the itching but it doesn't really help, the only thing I've found that really helps with the itch is putting an ice pack on it.
We just started checking for dilation/effacement last Friday, but we've made pretty fast progress since then so the doctor doesn't think we'll make it to our due date, and possibly not even till next week! I'm excited! I may just be a mommy by Mother's Day! Hopefully they'll have good news for you at your appointment tomorrow! good luck!

I'm actually not being induced, my doctor doesn't think we need it. She offered to induce us as early as the 6th (she said that's the earliest we could do it) yesterday because I have a terrible rash on my belly that itches like crazy and she said the only cure is birth, but then she examined us and we've dilated more and we're at 90% effaced so things are progressing rather quickly. She said we could still induce on the 6th IF we even made it to the 6th, and since other than the rash and the swollen feet/ankles, I'm feeling pretty good, I'm not really in a rush, if she thinks we're going to go before our due date anyway, I might as well wait it out and wait for this baby to be fully done baking. My next appointment is the 7th and if I haven't had the baby by then I will probably set up an induction date to make sure we don't go past our due date (I can handle this rash up until then but the itching will probably drive me insane if it lasts much longer).

How's your little man progressing? 38 weeks already! Almost there! I don't know about you, but my pregnancy has FLOWN by! I can't believe it's almost over!

I'm at 31 pounds. Did you stop gaining or lose any at a certain point or are you still gaining? Have you been eating less? I was but then I have been eating a little more the last couple days which I need to stop because the heartburn sucks! :)

What is EPO? Sorry you are so uncomfortable. Can you take anything for the itching? Sounds like fun, I can't wait:) Actually, that is true. I can't wait to be that much closer to meeting my little guy! Doc tomorrow? Keep me posted. I went today and am not dilated but she could feel his head. I guess he is not ready, even if I am. I go again next Thursday.
