I went to the doctor yesterday to do the first trimester screening for Down syndrome… I had an ultrasound and I saw the baby moving around… sucking his thumb… playing with his mouth… it was the cutest thing ever!!! According to the u/s everything looks really good and the chances at 1/2500, I also got a blood test that will be ready next week the doctor said it should lower or increase the chance, but according to his prospective looks really good!! Thank God! I was so nervous!! The baby spread his legs apart and I think it's a boy, the lady would not confirm to us because she said she is not allowed before 16 weeks!! But she laughs when I said: it's a boy I saw the little thing!! Ahahahah Does anyone found out the sex yet? Apparently in the US they won't tell you until the 16th week because it's not very accurate!! :( But I'm pretty sure it's a boy, I'm so excited!!!

Just come back from the us clinic!! It's a boy!!! IN the first 5 seconds she could see the male organs already! I was right, I knew it was a boy!!! I"m so excited!!! I got several pictures of his male organs, he showed to us many times!! It was so cute!!!!!

My baby boy 14 weeks old! Mommy loves you already!!!

Look how cute, we can see his nose already!!!

18 weeks!! I'm getting big!!!!!

Thank you for the links. How many pajamas or nightgowns did you pack? I bought some stuff today and I'm getting there. I want to get that done and will feel so much better:)

How is it going with your mom? Is she still down? Things with my mom are better now, I'm so relieved. How's your bf? Excited? I cant wait! Hang in there, almost there:)

yeah i didn't know what it was at first either, i thought my back just needed to be cracked. haha. well good, maybe i can finally get this show on the road! i'm itchy as well, cortizone really helps, or just get some lotion with oatmeal in it. i've taken to trying to talk him out these days, nothing else seems to be working!

I totally agree about the baby missing the womb and the closeness.. my baby cries even when I have already fed her and changed her.. but when I pick her up close to me she calms down .. I feel so bad when she cries I know this is such a big place and difference from when she was inside of me.. and she can't do things on her own.. She doesn't like sleeping alone.. I have the co-sleeper bassinet but she stays awake in it in the middle of the night and sometimes she fusses a bit so I pull her into my bed and she grabs my fingers into her hands pulling them to her face while she is sucking her pacifier.. than she falls quickly to sleep..it melts my heart away.. I feel so close to her when I breast feed her..at first I thought it was going to be hard but it really has been easy on me and her.. it takes getting use to and lots of encouragement.. I let her latch on and drink to her content ..than when she lets go she gets burped and placed on the other side to finish.. there is no time limit to feeding I have read we are to do 15 minutes on each side.. than I read time doesn't reduce pain... proper latching and position prevents soreness... plus you have to give time for your nipples to toughen up..mine have whew! lol.. how are you so far?

Hi! No, I'm not delivering at Shady Grove. I'm going all the way to Baltimore to deliver at St Agnes... I know, call me crazy! Before I was married I lived in Columbia and my doctors are located there- I"ve been with them too long to switch. I just really like them. About 3 months before I got married they switched hospital affiliations from Howard Co General to St Agnes. I was bummed because I knew hubby and I wouldn't wait long to have kids and that meant quite a haul for me, but when it came down to it, I didn't want to find new doctors. So I see you are just over a week behind me. Any progress with your cervix being made? I find that whole thing so frustrating. When I went last week I was 2cm/75% which I thought was great thinking I'd probably go into labor on my own, but as I've been reading I've found that it doesn't necessarily mean anything and I could be weeks off! I am so hoping to go naturally and don't want to be induced, but will be on May 8 if my little girl doesn't come before then. I hope your pregnancy is going well. I love your prego pics. Where did you get them done?

thanks! haha, i really hope so, cause i have NO other symptoms, minus the baby being so low i can now rest drinks on my stomach. : ] i still dont even know what a contraction feels like!
