i got an organic pregnancy tea just from the natural section at the store- its mostly made up of the raspberry leaf tea, and has other good elements. if you can't find the actual raspberry leaf, i recommend this stuff!

Thank you for your response. I already know it's way too close to my due date to travel and it wasn't just that that's stressing me. It's the fact that I'm being told I am going to ruin the wedding because my son was suppose to be in the wedding and I won't send my kids without me. They act like me sending my kids so far away without me and on a plane is a ridiculous fear. My son wants to go because he has an opportunity to be in a wedding, but he will also miss the birth of his sister which he will never experience again. No one in my family is close and my brother really doesn't have any family from our side attending, but his Fiance has like 150. I just feel if I was the the tables were turned no one would risk or make any extreme sacrifices for me.

well, to start i was wrongly induced by an impatient doctor. he basically told me " your baby isnt growing as we expect him to, it is called "IUGR" (intrauterine growth restriction) you can either wait to go into labour yourself or let me induce you, but i am leaving on vacation and you may not have me to deliver your son, it would be whoever was available". i was 17, and that scared me. so of course i decided to let him induce me. the short of it is i got there about 4 am for my induction (bear in mind the "average" first labour length is about 12 hours...before his dinner time!) and was started on pitocin. that made most of my birth plan useless, because it had been stated i didnt want any iv, freedom to move, etc. even though i asked not to be offered medications, nurses still came in all the time offering to "take the edge off" with any little sound i would make. finally, after hours and hours of intense, close together and very painful violent contractions, i accepted their "help". this made me sleepy and nauseaous, so they gave me anti nausea meds which made me even more tired. once the drugs began to wear off, it hurt even worse than before, they began offering an epidural. which i said no to. at first. i wanted to walk around, they told me "oh you need to be continuously monitered, and the baby, too. youve got all these cords, and need to stay in bed" i asked about a remote telemetry unit which can do the same thing as all the cord stuff, except gives movement. shocked that i knew about this device, my ob bent and said "well, you know your stuff, i will have a nurse hook you up". he did not offer this to me, even though he knew i wanted to move around and my pain was being intensified by being bed ridden. they wouldnt let me bathe though, which is allll i wanted at that point!!! i went back to lay down about an hour or so later, and the contractions were coming on strong and hard, i was moaning loudly. offers of epi again, again refused. my ob waltzes in, says i am not "progressing" fast enough (this was around 6 pm, and i was 6 cm dialated!) and while i am telling him "nonono dont do that, i dont want you to!" he breaks my water, and walks out of the room, leaving me, my bed and clothes and floor soaking wet, telling a nurse to "go in and clean up her mess". this was in front of my mother, mil and dh. after that, things continued to intensify. within an hour, i was 9 cm dialated, saying i need to push. they kept telling me nonono and asking about an epi. i finally said "yes!! give it to me after this contraction" to which they replied " there isnt any time between em, its now or never" so they did it right then, while i was having screaming piggyback contractions. my baby's heartrate was slowing down, of course due to the too-strong pitocin induced contractions and the drugs, so they started yelling "PUSH" at me, even though i no longer felt the urge to do so. they yanked my knees up and kept yelling, until i just pushed though i didnt feel like it, within a few minutes it felt (more like 45 to an hour i think?) Orion was born, thank god no episotomy!!! i know this isnt always how it is, but as an aspiring midwife and current doula, i have done much studying and research to know it is not a rare occurance. i really hope i did not scare you! i can say i have a healthy happy 5 year old sun out of the experiance, and this knowledge gave me the power to choose a midwife in a birthing center this time around! btw, orion did not have this "IUGR" that my ob claimed, he was 6lb7oz, which is about the same size as all the babies in my family, we are small womin and grow small babies. the ob had said my sun was around "5 pounds and failing to grow" by his ultrasound machine. so much for that noise. this is called "iatrogenic prematurity" when it causes babies to be born too early due to miscalculated due dates and wrong ultrasound measurements, another problem with scheduled c-sections and inductions by anxious ob's.

My two girls are 7 and 2 (but she'll turn 3 in July). My husband is the same way!!! We have an oversized 3 car garage, he's is always saying he's going to make that his get a way!! With his dart board and kegerator. I don't know, I think he may need his own house!! LOL Like a weekend getaway house or something!

Notesfam - Wednesday, 14 May
My two other girls names are Alivia Marie and Haley Nicole. They both are so... excited for baby Madalynn to get here!! Yeah, my husband is excited for another girl! He'll still be the man of the house!! LOL We will definitely be done after this. I know if we were to try for another one, we would end up with 4 girls!!! I'm not looking forward to the teenage years though!!!

Notesfam - Tuesday, 13 May
I just saw your post in week 35 that your having your 4th little girl!!! Were you trying for a little boy? Are you guys done now? We have two girls with another girl on the way too! We thought we would try for a boy, but God blessed us with another girl! I will be having a scheduled c-section June 11th. I am not looking forward to recovery again!! What are all your girls' names? What are you naming your new one? We are naming her Madalynn Rose. Lynn is my middle name and thought it would be cool if my middle name was in her name somehow. Rose is after my mom whose name is Rosanna.

Well if you have a large bathroom or room around your bed you can post your hands on the mattress/counter and bend over. ( i think you could assume what to do next lol) My belly is super huge right now so I know what a pain it is to fill the urge so to speak. Hope this helps!

christilynn - Tuesday, 29 April
gotta get creative! it's RARE my bubby feels up for it, but when he does...holy cow...he's VERY inventive and it doesn't make me feel like a cow and it's not painful or awkward. Just have a talk with him and see what he can come up with!

ellasmom - Tuesday, 29 April
lay on your side with him behind you...that seems to be the most comfortable for me. THat way he's not bumping your tummy (missionary) or your belly isn't dangling or hitting the bed (rear-entry). Hope that helps. You still might feel clumsy....but maybe it will get the job done....:-) Good luck!!!
