Monday, 21 July There are these powders by Ashton & Parsons that work really well. Calgel is decent, but he seems to need a little more than their recommended dose to stop him from crying. Very cold teething rings are great (especially when baby starts to hold it!), and he loves chewing on my finger. But unfortunately I haven't found a miracle cure and I keep having to alternate between all my above remodies (which can be very time consuming!).
I hope that helps. If it's any consolation, they teeth on and off, so you'll have a couple of bad days and then several great ones. It's not constant crying! Grace -

Thursday, 29 May I think you should call the Dr it seems like she has a slight loss of appetite. stphnhuerta -
Thursday, 29 May my one month old has been doing the same thing or was doing the same thing however, I took him to the doctor and he told me the reason he was crying was because he was being overfed and his stomach was hurting. My son also gained 3 lbs in his first month. which babies should only gain 1-2lbs in the first 3 months. Anyway his doctor told me to at least wait the three hours to feed him. He said some babies are just suckers and when they feel the need to suck give her, her finger or her pacifier because if you give her the bottle of course she is going to eat. And some babies just need to be comforted so to talk to him and pick her up. Its hard but my son has adjusted and now he is a happier baby. Try this, Good Luck izziebo -

Monday, 12 May I pump all day and one breast I get 2-4 oz out of every 2-3 hrs, the other breast I get a half an oz to 2 oz out of in the same time frame. I don't get it. So totally I get about 3.0 oz out of pumping and my baby is 5 weeks old and drinks 4-5 oz when I bottle feed. I now have to nurse then give him a 1-2 oz bottle afterwards. Trinabear18 -
Friday, 9 May My baby is also 3 weeks and sometimes I cab\nnot pump fast enough. We give him emfamil Lipil with Iron. This is what hopsital and doc recommends. his body agrees with this formula. ~NyMom -
Friday, 2 May Mom2 is right about finishing the bottle within the hour :0) ~NyMom -
Friday, 2 May If the baby drank from the bottle for a short time I would say discard it because bacteria can grow even in the most coldest places if you refrig it again.. I also hear that if you warm up milk ( that is if you are breastfeeding) you can't refrig it again .. when my daughter gets bottle fed with breast milk and doesn't drink much of it I toss the rest out. Congrats on the new addition!! mom2boy -
Friday, 2 May It is my understanding that anytime baby drinks from the bottle the milk needs to be finished within an hour. You can allways make bottles in 2 oz volumes (assuming you are doing 4 oz right now) that way there won't be left overs. Jo-Mama -
Friday, 2 May Did the baby drink from the bottle first? Or did you just heat it up and then didn't use it? You can refrigerate it again (though you can never re-freeze milk). Technically you're not supposed to re-feed from the bottle if baby has already had some milk (apparently it can allow her to drink her own bacteria). I asked my midwife about it and she said that while technically you should throw it out, if baby is healthy and has no issues, there really isn't a problem, as long as the milk is refrigerated again. But she said that lots of people will disagree with her. chasesmommy08 -
Friday, 2 May Thanks for your comment on breastfeeding, I am just starting to pump, its not helping too much yet cause I only get like 2 ounces at a time, but I think it will get better. Jo-Mama -
Monday, 28 April My baby is three and a half weeks and I still feel kinda tender and sore, especially when I do too much (like walk too quickly or too far). I guess that's why they say that 6 weeks is a typical recovery time. mommyinthesky -
Monday, 28 April I had my baby one month ago and I'm still sore. I had a 2nd degree tear. I was definitely sore at 2 weeks though. I have my appointment coming up on Thursday and Im glad. I've been afraid to look down there. cko1522 -
Monday, 28 April It is so normal for you to be having the feelings that you are having. Its such a hard adjustment, and your body is going through a ton of rapid changes. I had my boy Feb 18th and I was exactly like you. I yearned for my pre-baby life, I had absolutely no appetite (which was weird because I'd eaten everything in sight before), and I cried constantly. I was so afraid that the feelings wouldn't go away, but it got easier, and I would say by week 4, I was pretty much back to my normal self. I now love being a mom and you will too.
