9 months old! She loves standing on her daybed that we currently use as a changing area. She is so wiggly and thinks she is so funny trying to get away! She loves going to resaurants. Also, her new favorite thing to do, eat sliced up fruit from a fork. She thinks she is so tricky... now that she can put a fork in her mouth!

Out shopping... she looks so grown up! Super cute Sophie!

8 months & 9 days... crawling and pulling herself up! So cute and having so much fun!! She just went crazy in the swing. Squealing and kicking her legs. They just added a baby play structure with swings at the park by my house, sweet!!!

Maybe one day I'll do her hair! What a mop! It's so cute au naturale! While Sophie was sick she took away her own binky, she doesn't want it at all any more! The Dr. couldn't find anything wrong but I'm convinced it was her teeth, she got FOUR top teeth all at once! Miserable baby!

8 months old! Her 8 month picture will forever remind me of her first fever, she feels super lousy in this photo. Also, Sophie doing her favorite thing, eating! This pic was taken a couple days before she got sick.

My first Mother's Day. Opening my card from Sophie. Then I'm like "so where's my present?" and as soon as Steve handed over Sophie to Gramma and stood up I started to bawl like a baby! He proposed! I cried and cried and cried.

7 months old. Enjoying our first spring together...helping Mommy plant petunias...and getting ready for nap time, Sophie loves her crib and loves nap time!

Easter morning...and my little Easter princess, on our way to an Easter party!

Sophie doesn't sleep in the car so she gets bored and angry instead!

Saddest baby in the world! 6 months old!

Almost 6 months...taken at "Kiddie Kandids" super cute!

5 months old! Mommy's little Valentine!

4 months old!

Look what I can do!

I quit my job at the end of the year and am a full-time Mommy...it's been really awesome staying at home and feel really lucky that I am able to. I just can't put her in day care for 10 hrs a day! I've been working for almost 20 years...from 15 - 34...I don't miss the grind, baby is waaaaay more fun!

Three months old!

Daddy and Sophia sure look cute together!

Thanksgiving Day nap!

Two months old! It's amazing how fast the time has gone by!

Starting today, Monday Nov. 5th I went back to work. Sophia is 8 weeks old. I think my job could sense I was planning on not returning to work. I hadn't told them because I needed my health benefits. Well, they called me up and told me I could bring my baby to work with me! So here I sit, in my office, with my baby! She's been really good, only fussing a few minutes here and there. I'm so lucky. I'm going to see if it works out well for us, if not, I'll quit. The extra Christmas money will be nice. I wasn't planning on buying anything for anybody (except the baby, of course!) Now maybe I can buy Daddy something... maybe... if he's a good boy...

Sophie's 1st day of work!

One month old!

Sophie loves her binki and going for walkies! Next to Daddy is my first baby, Daisy.

Introducing!

Sophia ~ 7 lbs. 4oz. ~ 20 inches ~ September 12th 2007 ~ 15:51

I went into the hospital at 7pm on Monday Sept. 10th to have labor induced because I had GD. I was given cervadil two nights and pitocin for two days and I only dialated to a 3. So, after 48 hours of "induced labor" I had to have a c-section. Sophia was born Wednesday night. I was in the hospital from Monday - Saturday!

Hi Ladies...my name is Nikki and this is Steve. We are expecting our first baby! At 22 weeks we found out she is a girl! This is her bedroom, my parents came from out of state and we put the room together over a long weekend. Thank goodness for Gramma and Grampa. She is also my parents first grand baby so they are over joyed! They have been waiting a loooong time to become grand parents!

I was getting really worried because I couldn't get his fever to go down even with all the medicines. It finally seems to be working though. His fever finally broke about ten minutes ago, he was a sweaty mess and I was so relieved! It was about 45 minutes after I gave him Tylenol so that's probably why. His first tooth has finally popped through a teeny tiny bit, you can just feel the one corner of it so maybe that's why his fever has calmed down too. Hopefully he'll sleep better tonight, last night was rough and I ended up putting him in bed with me where he finally slept for about 5 hours. I really hope it was just teeth and we're not going to be fighting a virus for the next week!

Aww, Sophie is getting so big and I love her little hair do! How high did her fever get? Travis top two front teeth are so close to popping through, like any second I swear. Did her fever go away once her teeth came through? Did the tylenol and motrin help to bring it down? I'm just hoping that when Travis wakes up he isn't burning up. My husband works nights so he's sleeping now but I already warned him that if Travis wakes up burning up I'm going to wake him and make him help me cool him off with a bath. I just feel so helpless and his little eyes just look so glassy and sick :-(. Thanks for checking in with us though, I'll keep you updated :-).

Hey chick!

You are a mess! Poor thing I certainly didn't send you that to make you cry! TRUST ME I cry all the time these days. Gage finally sat up for 10 minutes straight the other night and I called my Husband at work crying. I scared the crap out of him. He thought something had happened. I was just so happy. It had really been bothering me that he wanted nothing to do with sitting up! All he wants to do is grab his feet and roll all over the place-silly boy!

WOW... Miss Sophie is crawling! i know you are a PROUD MAMA! I'm so happy for you guys! Our babies are growing up so fast! I can't catch up! Makes me sad too!

I hope you and Steve have a great time with Sophie this weekend. Hopefully the weather will be nice for you guys and you can get out and enjoy it!

We leave tomorrow and I am STOKED!!! I have a sinus infection and feel like poo but i'm on some meds and hopefully i'll feel better by tomorrow-wishful thinking!

Love the new pics! I'll miss ya! Be back next Saturday!
Take care and congrats on your mobile baby!!!!
XOXOX

PRETTIEST MOM
Once you have been hit, you have to hit 5 pretty Moms.
If you get hit again, You will know you are REALLY pretty!
So hit 15 pretty moms on your friends list to let them know they are
pretty!
Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her
down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
Send this to someone who you think is a special Mom.''

Sounds to me like she is teething! My Dr. Said that one of the symptoms is pulling at their ears. Have you tried the teething tablets? They have them at Target and they really work. I had to ask the pharmicist they had them back there. They really made him drowsy but at least he was out of pain and not fussy!!!

My Dad was born and raised in Hawaii so we are all obsessed with the beach and surfing. Gage's room is a Hawaiian beach theme room. The Luau is a perfect thing for us too. The best part is you can go wild with the decorations.

I'm sorry you're stuck at home!!! Dean owns his own Restaurant (not sure if I told you) and he works ALL THE TIME. I'm home alot by myself. I've come to enjoy it! But at times it can be kind of lonley!!!!

YES, go and treat yourself!!! What an awesome idea a salon with a day care!!! I wish we had something like that here!!! I would go all the time. My hair is so crazy long and it won't do a thing. I can't go get it cut cause I'll have to take Gage and I know as soon as I sit down he'll start fussing and I'll have to leave with half a hair cut!

I hope Sohie starts feeling better soon!!!

I'm glad to hear that it's nothing too serious with Miss Sophie, but it's still hard to see them sick!!!

I don't blame you for wanting to do the wedding in your hometown. That's usually how it works you go with the Brides church, or home town. You guys can have a nice ceremony with out breaking the bank. Ours was small but everyone said that they had a great time and they like the intimacy of it.

I think for Gage's b-day we're going to do a big cookout at our house. Hopefully it won't rain otherwise we'll be SCREWED. Out house is small but we have a big carport and back yard. I'm thinking of a luau theme-with lots of color and have everyone wear Hawaiian attire. I know that theme is a little overdone but it works and there's so much you can do with decorations. I found an awesome site that sells all kinds of party supplies and they have a bunch of turning one party packs. Let me know if you want the link and i'll get it to you.

Whatcha up to this weekend? I'm taking Gage and my friends little girl to the nature museum. They have an awesome trail with tons of different animals to look at. It'll be fun getting to see what it would be like with 2 kids.

Have a great day!!! TGIF 8 more days and i'm at the beach on vacation CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How is Sophie feeling? Is her fever all gone?

onelove - Wednesday, 14 May
I think Vegas would be awesome! I told Dean if we ever renew our vows I would love to go and get married in vegas by an Elvis impersonator. We had a small wedding just a couple friends and family down at the beach.

I'm super happy to have my family. We go every year and get a huge house with a pool and it'll be great this year cause I can actually have a margarita. last Year was fun but being preggo limited some of the things I could do. My Mom has already said that she's going to kidnap Gage and keep him in her room. I think he's going to have alot of fun and I'm looking forward to celebrating our anniversary.

You guys will have a great time in August. That's cool that your family is coming to help out. They'll enjoy it too!!!

Gage is all over the place in his crib too! I said I would never be able to let him sleep with us. He moves too much! I'd probably wake up with his foot in my mouth or something. He's dangerous when he sleeps. We go and check on him alot during the night and we move him and 2 seconds later he's turned himself the opposite direction.

Is Sophie feeling better?

I wish she could donate some of her beautiful hair to Gage. My friends little boy is a month younger than Gage and he's had his hair cut 5 times already. I told her to save some of that hair and i'll make Gage a baby wig maybe even a mullet lol!!!! For a while there Gage was starting to look like Yoda but now his hair is filling in. He was born with so much but lost almost all of it. We don't want to cut his hair until he's at least a year old!!!!!

Have you thought about what you might do for Sophie's Birthday?????

~Laura

onelove - Wednesday, 14 May
I'm the same way I cry at the drop of a hat now. I keep trying to blame it on my hormones getting back to normal but I think that excuse is getting pretty OLD!!!! I guess having babies has turned us into big babies lol!!!

I love the engagement pic! It's such an important moment and you can tell that you and your soon to be Husband are so happy. I love when natural moments like that, that show real emotion are caught on film.

Gage is 8 months old today and I love him more and more. He is the most amazing thing and I still can't believe that I'm a Mama now. My only complaint is that I didn't do it sooner!!! He's starting to sit up on his own and I think he'll be crawling soon. He pushes up and lunges forward and even pushes off with his feet. He is a very good natured baby and very loving i hope he stays that way! He has never liked his swing but loves playing on the floor. He says hi and hey and Dean and I just melt when he does it. He is cutting more teeth up top and looks like an old man with no teeth. I love to see his little jug jaws when he's gumming something-too cute. We are going on Vacation to the beach with the whole family on the 24th and I can hardly wait. It's mine and Dean's 1st anniversary on the 26th. I'm really looking forward to sharing the beach with Gage-he's going to LOVE IT!!!!!!

I love Sophie's new pics! She is such a cutie!!!!
