This was a u/s done at 11 weeks.
Hello. I am expecting my first child Nov. 28th, I am soo nervous about becoming a single mom. I am confident I can do it though. It's amazing how attached you get to your unborn child. First ultrasound was done at 11 weeks on May 10th, everything looked fine. Listened to fetal heartbeat on June 6th, the heartbeat was really strong. I also had the AFP test done, and they said the results were normal. I go back July 5th for another ultrasound, hopefully I will find out if I am having a boy or a girl. I do want a girl, but will be perfectly happy with either one, the most important thing is that he or she is HEALTHY. I had a little morning sickness in my first trimester, but I am suffering with terrible headaches here in my second tri. The doc only wants me to take tylenol, cut out caffeine, which has been a real problem for me, and I cannot sleep at night. I have gained a little more weight that I wanted to, but I guess I will just have to work extra hard to try and lose it once the baby gets here.
June 23rd- I have been having headaches everyday, tylenol just doesn't seem to do the trick. Everyone keeps asking me if I have felt the baby move yet. The answer is, I am just not sure. Is it normal if you haven't felt it yet? And when should I be feeling something?
June 26th- I have been so impatient to find out whether or not I am having a boy or a girl, I should me more concerned if he or she is HEALTHY. I did some things you were not supposed to do in my first trimester. In the beginning I did not know I was pregnant, so I was doing some drinking, taking Lunesta at night because I have always had trouble sleeping, laying in tanning bed, I took some Lasix because I thought I was only putting on water weight. So I was probably doing damage and didn't even realize it. Doc just told me to stop everything...and start my prenatal vitamins, but that was at my first visit at 11 weeks. On the first ultrasound everything looked fine, the AFP tests came back ok, I just pray that the next ultrasound July 5th that everything is ok with my baby. I would be devastated if I know I did something to cause any abnormalties. So please everyone say a little prayer for me!!!!
July5th- had my 19 week ultrasound done today, and she said everything looked great, and she would be very suprised if this baby was born with anything wrong with it, so....so far, so good. He was very active today, she said he was a little wiggle worm, he kept touching his face with his hands, and opening his mouth, at one point he grabbed his foot, it was just too darn cute. You can see by the last pic, that I am having a boy, his daddy is excited. I am confused on the due date, there is two printed on the pic, not sure what that means. If anyone has any suggestions on boy names, please let me know!!
July7th- The baby's dad is coming up with some crazy names for our boy. I hate to not involve him in anything though. Since we are not together, should I give him my last name, or give our son both of our last names?
July 10th- I had been feeling the baby move alot, but today I haven't felt a thing, and it makes me nervous. I hate waiting for a month too see the dr. again. Is it normal to feel it some days, and not others?
Aug 1st- Doc said baby was growing good, and the heartbeat was 150 bpm. It's time for the glucose test, and they gave me a bottle of orange solution to drink, and I have to drink it Mon. morning, and then go and have blood drawn. What fun!!
Aug.21st-Failed the glucose test, so now I have to go Friday for a 3 hour glucose test and I am very unhappy about that. Has this happened to anyone?
Sept. 1st- Good news, I did not have gestational diabetes, but I had gained 7 lbs. that they were not happy about so I am having to follow a diet. Having the 3D done Sept. 10th, so I am excited.
Oct. 6th-Well it seems like I have been preggo forever, but I guess little Jace will be here before I know it. Looking forward to having my baby shower Nov.10th, getting to the point now where I just don't even want to go into work. LOL. My weight keeps increasing no matter what I do, so I am just not going to worry about it anymore. Just have to work extra hard to get the weight off later.
Oct. 24th- Had dilated 2cm, my cervix had thinned out and they could feel the baby's head.
Nov. 7th- Dilated 3cm, and doc. said I could be induced on the 14th if I wanted.
