This is my 2nd pregnancy. My first one ended in m/c at 10 wks 4 days. I am currently at 8weeks 4 days, and pray each day that this baby grows strong and healthy. So far the symptoms are stronger than last time, and I feel more at ease with this one. I hope that it continues! I just had my first u/s appt. on Feb. 22, and found out that not only am I having 1 healthy baby, there is actually 2 with really strong heartbeats. It is so exciting, and frightful at the same time. I look forward to the next u/s appt. I will be going to a new doctor soon and we will go from there. I am in shock, as twins do not run in my family or my husbands family either. There is always a first for everything!
March 3-
Well...the pg seems to be progressing like normal. I have my next appt on March 14th, and can not wait. I will be 11 w 3 day, and hope to hear the heart beats. I am starting to show so much now, it is unbelievable. I had to go buy some maternity clothes because mine are so tihgt. Anyways, I look forward to upcoming appts, and u/s. YEAH!
March 20-
Ok all who have been reading my post, please send prayers my way. I am going through a scare today with some spotting. I go in for an ultrasound tomorrow, so please keep your prayer.
Just to keep you informed. I had a dr. appointment last week, at 11w2d, and with the doppler, we were able to hear both heartbeats. At 8w3d, we had our firstu/s and saw the heartbeats. I am scared that something is happening. Keep me and my babies in your thoughts and prayers.
March 21-
I just got back from the doctors. Yes, it took all day. The babies are doing very well. They are measuring 12w 3d and 12 w. They have very strong heartbeats at 178 and 170. THey found the pocket of blood that is causing the problem, but not life threatening. I am on bed rest for the next couple of weeks, and will get re-evaluated next week with another u/s. THanks for all of your prayers!
March 25-
The bleeding is subsiding, or I should say the brown spotting...praise the lord! I am on bedrest, and am now starting to enjoy it. I am having difficulty sleeping at night, but sleeping wonderfully during the day, so I am not complaining. I hope that the bleeding stops forever...I don't want to live another nightmare!
All of my family and friends now know that I am pg with twins. The support is unreal, I have been getting baby stuff galore, from people b/c they know that buying for two is almost impossible. So that has been nice. I am going to be getting a second crib, but will have the babies share a crib in the beginning.
Eventhough I had a scare this past week, I am finally more excited about this pg. And can't wait to see my little ones soon!
March 29th-
I am so excited! I went to the doctor yesterday, and the source of bleeding has disappeared. Although the md does not want me to go to work, because of stress and a high risk pregnancy, the babies are doing great. We got confirmation of Baby A.....it is a GIRL!!!! Then baby B? We called it a little stinker because it flipped and gave us a shot of its little tushie. So Baby B remains a mystery.
Thanks for all the prayers!
April 3rd-
Great news!!!! I had a doctors appointment yesterday, and both babies were cooperative. Actually they were mimicing eachother in the way they were sitting and moving their arms. It was totally funny! But everyone will need to THINK PINK times 2. They are both girls. I can not wait until I get to see them. Of course September is a long way away, but I can still dream about it. I am so excited to have 2 girls. Continue to pray that they grow big a strong!
April 17th-
Well nothing new to report here. Today is my next appointment with the Peri. I have been feeling really good. Almost too good I think! However I just pray each and everyday that the little girls are growing strong. I still have not felt the little girls move, but I hope to soon! I will be back later with an update of the ultrasound. As always, prayers are welcome for my little girls. I would like a happy and healthy 9 months! I got back from the doctor, and wanted to give the update. The girls are awesome! Their heartrates were (A) 153bpm and (B) 154bpm. Due to the bleed that I had 4 weeks ago, the dr. sent me in for the AFP test, and I am suffering from a really sore arm. But will be doing better. She said that she is using the test results to see how the placenta is doing and to make sure there are no other ruptures in it. So in 2 weeks, I have another appt. and will get a more in depth u/s with all measurements, then will also get the results from the AFP. Keep the Prayers!
April 30th
It has been a couple of weeks since I updated my page. I have my next appt. and u/s tomorrow afternoon, and once again I find myself a little nervous about it. I still have not felt the girls daily, and that continues to worry me. I just want them to be growing big and strong! I hope they are.
I also want to say thank you for all of your prayers and support. I need continued prayer to keep my anxiety levels down.
I will be back tomorrow with another update!
May 1st
Wow- I am still amazied to see 2 little babies inside of me. The girls are getting big and are right on track for 18 weeks. In fact they are measuring slightly ahead. They each weigh 8 oz. and are just amazing. I get to switch to some new allergy medicine and prilosec for my heartburn, so I am looking forward to that. I am so excited! The AFP results came back negative/negative and there are no markers for any other defect. So that excites me even more!
Thanks again for your continued prayers!

May 11th-
I am almost 20 weeks, I can't believe that I am 1/2 way through. Although I will be delivering 3 weeks early, so now I am at the 17 week countdown. Unbelievable! I am still feeling really good, which still scares me...but I am starting to get the aches and pains in my lower back and tailbone. Ugh!
I have another appointment on Tuesday, and lookforward to seeing my girls.

May 14th
Ok, I am on my 20th week right now. I am over joyed to hit this milestone at this point in time. I can't believe how a m/c can change your perspective on pregnancy. It is not as easy as you believe when you are young and naive.
I am still not feeling the babies daily, but know that my time is coming. I can not wait until DH can feel them too.
Tomorrow, I have another appt with the peri. I see her every 2 weeks due to earlier complications at week 12. I am so excited to see the girls again.
Continued prayers are welcomed for myself and my girls.
Blessing to all!
Hannah Grace & Megan Marie
Are due soon!
May 15th-
I had my 20 week appointment today, and team pink is doing wonderful! The girls are curled up together, tummy to tummy and they are just adorable. I got to see them in 4-d which was amazing, you could see many details and they didn't look like aliens like in the regular u/s.
Baby A had a heartrate of 153 bpm and baby B had a heartrate of 159.
The next appointment will have all of the major measurments again!
Thanks for the prayers.....
May 29th-
UPDATE
Well, yesterday we had another ultrasound, and everything is going well. The girls are measuring 1 lb. and 1 lb 1 oz. They are measuring right on track for 22 weeks!
I am amazed on how different each baby looks every 2 weeks. We got to see them again in 4d and they have changed so much! They have full lips now, just need to get the chubby cheeks!
I am very excited to go back in 2 weeks to see them again. They are really beginning to kick and punch mom, so that is always fun to feel and experience.
I have a hard time describing how it feels to be pregnant. It is the most amazing thing in the world!
I will have another update June 11th!!!
June 7th-
Have a hard time keeping up on my updates.....I go to the Doctor on MOnday, and I have been feeling pretty good right now.I am feeling kicks everyother day or so...that worries me a little...but I guess that it is normal, at least I hope!
Monday, I will have another u/s and can't wait to see my girls.
Now if I can find relief for my constipation, I will be a happy camper!
BBL---
Mommy loves Hannah and Megan!
June 12th-
Yesterday, I went to the doctor, and with every appt. I am so amazed at how the girls are growing. I reached my 24 week mark...and now I feel the girls everyday, and they are beginning to kick so hard my stomach is bouncing and moving about. I LOVE IT!!!!
Their heart rates were 153 bpm and 151 bpm. They were kicking and moving about during the u/s. I just wish they did measurments again. I will go back again in 2 weeks, then will be going again at 28 weeks. At that point, she will be seeing me every week until delivery. Everything is going so fast, I can hardly believe it!
June 26th-
I had another great appt! The girls are getting so big. I have reached the 26 week milestone, and I am beginning to feel a sense of relief that everything is going to go well from here on out.
Baby A and Baby B are measuring 26 weeks 1 day, and 26 weeks 3 days. They are both 2 pounds....I am just amazing how big they are! I can't wait to meet my girls!
July 3rd-
Today I have my glucose screening and two other screenings for anemia and rh antibodies. I am now 27 weeks along, and have 10 more to go. I see the light at the end of the tunnel, but am getting tired of the hip pain when I sleep in bed!
I will update next week with all the results and my next appt. Will be talking about scheduling dates soon....OMG I don't know if I am completely ready for twins yet!
July 10th-
I went to my 2 week appt today, and everything could not have been better once again. I got a quick check on the girls through ultrasound, but they are getting so big, it is getting harder to see them clearly in the u/s. Both girls are head down, and my cervix started to get a little shorter, but the doc said that is good being I hit my 28 week mark. She said that is what we want to see. Their heartrates were very good even though it took some work to get a good reading...they were moving so much! Hannah had a heartrate of 159 bpm and Megan had a heartrate of 149 bpm.
I got the results of my glucose test, and I do not have GD...however I am anemic, so I had to start iron pills 2x a day. YUCK! Otherwise, I am going to go back again in 2 weeks, then I will start my weekly appts.
Thanks for the continued Prayers!
July 24th, 30 weeks 1 day!
Wow, another milestone for me! I am doing great and the girls are doing wonderful. It has been so nice to see them at each appt. I have realized that when this is done, I will miss the Peri's office and the staff there!
Hannah and Megan are getting really big! Hannah is in transverse position, and is weighing in at 3 pounds 4 oz. She is practicing her breathing and opening closing her mouth and eyes.
Megan is breech, she is sitting on top of Hannah's head, dangling her feet and looking happier than ever. She, too, is practicing her breathing, and has a head full of long hair! She is weighing in at 3 pounds 7 oz.
We set a tentative date of September 11th...that will be set in stone in the upcoming weeks. We just want to get past August 19th as that is my Baby Shower.
I have one more 2 week appt. since I am doing so well, then I will start my weekly appts.
August 7th- 32 weeks!
Yeah hit the milestone that the doctor wanted me to hit!!! Woo-hoo...the girls are doing very well, and are growing so much. We didn't get measurements this time around, but the doc. guestimated the girls to be around 4 lbs. each.
My bloodpressure finally came down too! But I gained weight these last two weeks....but by the looks of my "Fred Flintstone Kankles" that is where the weight is. The doc wasn't worried about a thing, and said to come back in 2 weeks...then we will start the weekly appts. I am so excited but nervous, as I will have 3 weekly appts. and then be done! I will be holding my precious babies in my arms! What a miracle God has bestowed upon my life!
August 21st- 34 weeks
Wow time is flying by!!! I am now starting my weekly appts, and will be probably having my c-section the week of September 10th. This is coming up so fast. Both girls are still head down, and are very active. Baby A is measuring 4 pounds 12 ounces, she had a heart rate of 164 bpm. Baby B is measuring 4 pounds 8 ounces and was resting at this time. She had a heart rate of 139 bpm.
I am counting down the days...19 days until D-day!!!
35 weeks!
Yes, we are still pregnant. I am so surprised at how well I am feeling, I am starting to get some more energy, and yet still get more BH contractions each day. The girls continue to be head down, and the doctor now thinks I might have them naturally with out a c-section...that should be good...but the problem is, I never took the l/d classes at the hospital. So now, I hope that the nurses will help me out! Hopefully the girls hold on til 37 weeks...we will see on Tuesday what it going on, and how we might deliver/induce the pg. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!
October 4-
The long awaited update!!! Hannah Grace and Megan Marie are here!!!! On September 13th I was induced. I went into the hospital at 6:30 am and got hooked up to monitors and all blood work done by 8:30 am. They started the pitocin at that time, and at 9:30 my doctor came in and broke the water for baby A. Contractions were already 8 minutes apart when I showed up at the hospital, but breaking the water helped it out even more. By 11:30, I received the epidural...and that became my best friend. I continued on pitocin, every 1/2 hour they upped the amount. Then at 3:30 my epidural was wearing off. I was only 5 cm dialated and 85% effaced so I was able to get more added to the epi. I loved the anesthesiologist as the back labor began.
The second dose to the epi was the ticket because by 4:45 I was fully dialated and 100% effaced. The nurses called the doc. and had the surgery team set up the Operating room just in case I would need an emergency c-section. At 5:00 I got started pushing in the room where I was stationed. The doc showed at 5:30 and at 5:45 I was moved to the OR. At 6 pm....Hannah Grace made her appearance into the world. She weighed 5 pounds 13 ounces and was 18 inches long.
Then at 6:13 Megan Marie came into the world. She weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.
I did not need the c-section. We came home on Saturday. Everything is going great. We are getting into a schedule, and getting along wonderfully! Lots of diapers...but well worth it. They are the love of my life!
Thanks for all the prayers.....
