you know its funny you talk about your b/f being drunk and you go into labor... well i thought i might this morning cuz he had a drunken blackout moment and wanted to pee in the couch well we FOUGHT and i have a really bad sprained wrist and hand and a black eye... i did however get him to the bathroom before he started urinating...but i was sooooo scared.... he has NEVER and i repeat NEVER hit me... he really doesn't remember it... i'm in so much pain and he did hit me once in the side and i have a bruise from it... but baby has been moving fine today... i haven't gone to the doctor although i should cuz its killing me to sit here and type this!!!

thanks...I might try calling them today....although Thankfully I didn't wake up again or haven't had the pain again and I feel my baby moving still a lot....so I'm sure I'm okay.. I will definitely be calling though if it happens again. Seems like I'm always having a problem in the middle of the night or on the weekend when the doctors office is closed....lol. Anyways THanks again for the reply!

i think its carpal tunnel syndrome which is quite common in pregnancy i had it with one of my other kids but not so bad this is horrible i havent been able to feel my fingers for like 3 months.
good thing i can type still! lol
its supposed to go away after pregnancy is over so im hoping that it does!

Hey Linaaaaa,

How are you doing hun??? Glad you're doing well :D... I bet it's getting uncomfortable!!! I have gained 25 pounds but started at my ideal weight.. but also retaining water!!! Don't worry about the water.. my sister gained like 7 pounds of water which all disappeared like u said it took like 3 days to a week..and she gained 44 pounds and she was able to almost be back to where she was before being pregnant in 2 months. Breastfeeding really really helps with that as it helps shrink the uterus to its normal size... I plan on breastfeeding as well. I guess my measurement is ok..cuz I am almost 5"1 and petit... :D You're tall and petite... I understand though why weight won't show on you...just be happy that it doesn't :D that's awesome!! I guess as long as baby's heart beats are normal and my weight gain has been right on ..then I shouldn't get worried. Another thing is my hubby is on the smaller frame side.. and average height. We're both known as the tiny couple in our circle of friends :D LOL!!! He hates that!! hehehe...

Don't worry about the weight gain, honestly your father-in-law is very right... you'll lose the weight in no time.. lots of it is water retention and plancenta and baby... whatever is left is good ...especially if you are planning on breastfeeding..plus .. if you sleep well
after you deliver..which i know is hard..but if you do catch-up on sleep and take naps..your weight should get back to normal VERY QUICKLY.

I have been getting the braxton-hicks and some sharp pains from the baby's pushing down there..not sure if i am dialated.. I haven't had any internal exams yet.. maybe next visit... my doctor has not even told me if the head is engaged.. or if i am effaced and what
the percentage is... been reading lots on the forum ..seems like everyone knows exact numbers but me LOL...but that's ok..I guess when it's time for her to come out ..she just will. I just have to watch out for when my water breaks or I lose my mucus plug
cuz I did test positive for Strep-B... I'd have to go early to L&D and get my Antibiotics IV. I hope you didn't test positive..it makes me worry ..even though doctor assured me it's ok and not to worry..but it'll be in the back of my head anyway.

Hope you're all prep'd for the hospital with your hubby..mine is overseas so I am going with my mom as my support person. My hospital bag and baby's stuff is all set :). Seems like I beat u at writing LOL... sorry if it's too much :D But I am very happy to hear from you and wish you all the best ..enjoy ur bubba being inside :P cuz my sister had my niece 2 months..and although she's a good baby,..but sometimes my sister wished that she stayed inside just a little longer ;) LOOL...

I am so physically tierd now, and feel like a i cant cope with another week. I heard the nurse say, that it was ridiculous that they are making me wait, but i guess they have their reasons.
Are you scared too?? Cos i am petrified!! I just hope everything goes well for you sweetie.
i know i go on about beautiful child bearing hips...but DAM!!!! Us hippy gals feel pain too!!

Thank you for the information! Yeah, My baby is engaged,I'm 80% effaced and 5 cm dilated w/o a mucus plug...but no action yet! I guess I don't mind because she's smaller and I want her to be as healthy as possible. Well, I hope things pick up for you! Good luck!!!!

Hey Lina :) how are you my dear? I am doing good :D Just getting uncomfortable sometimes getting sharp pain but no progress so far ..it's ok..I'll wait as long as baby girl comes into this world healthy. Oh my measurement is 34 that's from the top of my uterus to the bottom, what the doctor measures every week. He said everything is ok..but I was just curious if anyone was still measuring at 34 now being 36 weeks pregnant. How have you been? How is your pregnancy going so far? We're almost there!! I am washing baby's clothes as we speak getting them ready for her.. and preparing hospital bag by tonight. Take care sweety and hope to hear your news soon :) xoxo

We actually don't all have medicare in the US. I pay for my own insurance monthly and still go just as many times as the others. I think it is just standard here to go so often. I do feel like it is waisted time though sometimes as I am still working and leaving every week early gets hard to do.

I'm kinda like you...I don't think my baby is even close to being ready to come out! I'm still pretty active (cleaned the house this weekend, planted flowers and still am teaching), I would think all of this activity would help the baby move along a little faster...oh well! Guess he or she will come when they want to! Hang in there and have fun painting!

I'm right there with u. I weigh 186 and a 1/2 lbs! I only went up to 165 with my last baby but I was a little heavier this time-140 lbs. to start. So all in all I've gained 46 lbs!!

We have been busy packing up as much as we can for the move in three weeks, painting and decorating and plus I am still working full time and so am sleeping whenever I can. :( Have decided to work up to 23 April (if I can) so have another three weeks left. It has been forever that I have spoken to you, how are you?
Shayne and I are ecstatic over the baby being a girl, we just couldn't believe it, that she is what we were praying for, we are so over the moon!
Snow! well, I wished we had some of that, we have been dealing with scorching temps here, into the late 30's(celcius) and I have been just melting away, I really hate the heat, I would much rather have the cooler weather any day.

Thank you for your post about your weight gain, I too have gained almost 50 lbs. It is hard, especially with some of the posts with much lower weight gains. I will get it off when I am done, but in the interim, an extra 50 lbs is not fun.

Had midwife today...measuring 34cm...so it does look like a whopper. The baby gave her an almighty kick when she was feeling the head...i have sore ribs now!Made us both jump.lol
