Hi everyone.

I am due in May 2008. I have a feeling that I am having a boy - I don't know why :-) I am really happy to be pregnant - I did not think that I would ever have a baby of my own since I have tried insemination and IVF without any luck. And now it has happened all naturally. I am SO happy :-)

2nd Jan. I am having a big baby boy! Yahooo...!

My boyfriend and I have decided that I am going to give birth in Australia. He is Australian and we have family there that are birthdoctors. So long Denmark! :-)

Hi Lina,

How are you doing? I hope you go into labor naturally pretty soon. You've been so incredibly patient.

I feel great. I just can't wait to go home. I feel like we're in jail because they won't let us leave until tomorrow. As hard as they try, they cannot find anything wrong with us. We are both incredibly healthy and doing great. But that doesn't stop them from checking on us and poking us constantly! I swear, next time I am going to Denmark. Let me know when you're ready to make another one and we can plan for the same time! ;)

Labor dust and best wishes! xxxxx

well today was a Whopper! went in for that on stress test, the test came out fine, she is doing great. So then they say they want to check my cervix..she tells me I'm at a 1!!! And then proceeds to strip my membranes without my consent. I did want the stripping done but it would have been nice for her to get my permission. Anyway, so then she says, 'see you monday morning'. ??!!?? I said, "for what"? She said, "oh they didn't tell you about your scheduled induction yet, I thought they had" So they scheduled me for an induction at 41+3 because that's the only date and time they have openings and otherwise it wouldn't be until 42+3 and they don't want to wait that long. They said they would like to have scheduled me for Wednesday 41+5 but they "just don't have any openings"!! I hate that. So I have to go through more hell because the hospital is all booked up. Very annoying. I tired to call another hospital but they won't do an elective induction at this late in the game. I can always decline the induction but then who knows what...I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I could just keep going for the Non stress tests but they only do inductions on mon/tues/wed and 42+3 seems a little long to wait....
Anyway, so I walked for almost 2 hours today around the mall and Glenn and I will be making it an 'eventful' weekend hoping that things will start naturally. I talked to her about them just breaking my water at first instead of getting right down to pitocin but she said that's not statistically successful on first time deliveries and that pitocin is really the only way we will get anywhere. She did offer me a 2 day induction but I would be in the hospital that entire time, things would just go more slowly. I'm considering that instead. Sorry this is soooooooo long. Anything new on your side?

Any joy??? xXx

Yes, it is contagious. It's a yeast infection of the mouth...and well, you can imagine where WE get it. Right where we need NO additional trauma after giving birth. lol. Luckily, Kael just had milk build-up, so sigh of relief there. My first son had thrush right away & it gives them (eventually) a thick, white coated tongue, inner lips, cheeks, & gums. It also leads to really bad diaper rash, which is NO fun. :) Any odd feelings yet? Kael was almost 9 lbs, so I'm not sure if my body would have ever given him up. Good grief. I hope you have better luck on that front. Okay, so bed & sofa are OUT. I understand. :)

hi hun! am sorry to say your in wk 41 without me! Gracie was born on the 21st may at 4.39am! she is gorgeous! labour dust to you i hope it wont be long now!!! debi x x x x

xobeckyxo - Friday, 23 May
still no plug, no show or anything other than Braxton Hicks. I have noticed that as of yesterday my baby's punches have become super powerful and uncomfortable. It's this little fist or elbow that keeps scraping across my right side. I can't believe she's that strong! It's very noticeable from outside my belly too. I THINK maybe her head got lower because now when she moves it feels like a cheese grater on my cervix...but who knows. Anything new for you? I have the non stress test today (Friday) and I could possibly be induced if they don't like those results. Anyway, here's to a fast and pain free labor :) PS I know of 2 girls who went to 42 weeks and their babies were great and healthy. Sometimes I get nervous that my body is not putting me into labor because it knows there is a problem..like with the cord or positioning in general. Do you ever get these worries?

Hi Lina, how are you doing?
I am still preggers too, hopefully both of us won't be too much longer.
Labour dust in bucket loads and truck loads to both of us, it may just work, hehehe

Thank you! So, how are you feeling? I think that is great that you are being so patient. I would of lost my mind, but I have zero patience. It was crazy though once I had Presley I missed being pregnant. I cried for the whole first week.

Do you have a name picked out for your sweet boy?

monica9 - Thursday, 22 May
thanks. i hope this goes quick for me and hopefully soon for you!!

dalluv101 - Thursday, 22 May
Thanks! I couldn't convince DH to go with "sofa" or otherwise similar name. Any luck w/ "bed" on your end? :) I hope you come along soon. It will be over before you know it & then let the sleepless nights begin. Oy. I'm trying to get Kael on a normal schedule. He's coming around, but slower than I'd like. He might have thrush (yeast infection of the mouth), which is not a big deal, but contagious to me if breastfeeding...so I'm pumping just in case. Don't need additional trauma down THERE right now. :)

shinobissudhi - Thursday, 22 May
my daughter got very active 2-3 days before i had her may be a good sign

Kela - Thursday, 22 May
So I just came on to see if you were still here, and I CAN"T believe you are!! I hope that you go really soon! My baby Ethan is ONE week old today! I can't believe that either. Anyways, get as MUCH sleep as possible now...you are going to need it!!! GOOD LUCK!!!! and I do seriously hope you go VERY VERY soon! xoxo

It's worth every minute of waiting!!! xXx

I bet your baby is not 10 pounds! They are always wrong about the weight estimates it seems. My little 5 foot nothing friend pushed out a 9.9 pound boy in a pool in her back yard!!!! She was 42 weeks and still had to be induced by breaking the water. Maybe you'll be surprised to find when he is born that he wasn't that huge after all. But I do agree that I'd rather have a bigger baby then get pitocin...I am so against that stuff. Not to make you jealous but I have been having cramps and lower back ache since 3am and it's now 1pm...they haven't gotten worse and they haven't gotten better...no plug no blood no nausea. Could be a sign!!!!!!!

shinobissudhi - Wednesday, 21 May
other than my milk not wanting to come out and baby not wanting to breastfeed things are actually doing great!! i am so happy not being prego anymore! arianni is such a good baby and i wouldnt trade her for the world lol. now if i can just get rid of the extra 60lbs i would be even happier.i hope you have your baby soon. you never know my water broke out of the blue and i was barley dialated or effaced. good luck :)

overdueandfrustrated - Wednesday, 21 May
Thanks for your reply. You have restored my resolve. when I go for the appointment tomorrow I will request another sweep (even though it hurt!!) but provided everything else is ok with baby and I, I will refuse chemical intervention until 42 weeks. I'm doing everything in my own power to hurry things up. lots of walking and sex! hope it helps xxx

bloomingmum - Wednesday, 21 May
