yes i tested positive for strep B with my 2nd.. Its nothing they will just put an IV in your hand and they will probally tell you to go in early to the hospital when you start labour so they can give you antibiotics. Goodluck with everything, you'll be fine.

I second on the no biggie of GB culture. As a matter of fact mine is negative, but because I've been positive with past pregnancy, I still get the antibiotics. It is something that can change week to week. Don't sweat it, you will be fine!

Oh my gosh I can't believe your doc let you leave his office that stressed out over your strep B results!!! It is absolutely nothing to be worried about!!! They give you IV antibiotics during the birth to prevent any of that bacteria from entering the baby . The reason they test you for it so late is because it comes and goes naturally in your body every so often. It's just a normal, no symptoms kind of bacteria that could potentially hurt the baby if they didn't give you the antibiotics...but they are giving them to you so NO WORRIES!!!!! My lil sis was Strep-B pos and had her baby over a month ago, she got the antibiotics and the baby is super healthy and happy!!! Good Luck to you!!

I feel the same way! Time is going by slow all of a sudden. I was showing no signs of dilation or anything at my last appt. I can hardly breathe so I know he has not dropped. Sleeping is so hard now. My doctor will also induce if he does not come before my due date. Thank goodness for that, a few of my friends went 2 weeks over their due date before they induced! Uggggh.
