Hi Everyone!

This is my first preganany and my fiance and I are really, really excited!!! We just can't wait to hold the little one. I know it will be a lot of work, but I can't wait to get started!!! :)

Had the Nuchal Scan on 4/22/08. Everything went well! Got to see the little one and it looks like it's a baby boy! So excited! I just can't wait to hold him. I will have another u/s in June to confirm that it's a boy. Seems pretty obvious though! ;-)

5/20/08 - Had an Ultrasound by accident today. There were 2 Danya's scheduled at the same time so they took me in for it by mistake. Lucky for me! Anyways... It now looks like it's a baby GIRL! :)

6/17/08 - Had the last Ultrasound and they confirmed that it's a girl!!! Layla Jane will be here in 4 months!!!! We can't wait!!!

That's what I was thinking. Again, that is only in Utah. We do follow up surveys on our graduates and that is their average. I get paid so much less to help these people succeed and make more. However, my benefits are amazing here so I really can’t complain.

I was planning on going into it, which is how I started working in this department. However, I decided that there are other fields that interest me more and also I would have to quit to take Nursing classes her due to a conflict of interest. They do make great money. In Utah, our students' lowest entry level wages are $17.00/ hour. I could easily handle that.

Me too, my OB tells me for a first it is impossible to feel until 18 - 20 weeks but I don't think anything is impossible and so many women say they have felt it so I worry something it wrong with my baby. I heard the heart today though so I feel much better.

Hi Danya-I hope all goes at your doctor's appointment tomorrow. I just came back from mine. Doctor said "baby boy " is doing well. OMg.. the funniest thing happend at the visit while doctor was doing the ultrasound my husband and I noticed the baby was touching something down there and we asked the doctor he "said oh yeah he is touching his "wee-wee" (I thought it was the funniest thing) thought i share this with you. :)

If I go into labor at home, we have a 20 minute drive. If I go into labor at work then it will be more like 5 minutes if traffic is kind. I too have a close friend who is an MA and I pick her brain a lot. It is comforting to have their professional input when you have concerns. Has your friend thought of being an RN?

Thanks for being mad too, lol. It was almost like she got her jolly's off of it as well, like everytime I asked her to do anything, even turn up the machine so I could hear the heartbeat, she just simply said no, can't do that either with a snooty attitude, talking to me like I was some 16 year old pregnant girl with no clue. I have a degree and I am a Project Engineer, I'm not a silly girl and I feel like she had no respect for me. Thanks for letting me vent! Did you find out if you are having a boy for sure yet?

In particular, I pick on the faculty who teach ob/gyn. They are loaded with info. However, in their absence I pick on anyone around. We have a couple of FNP's that work for us as well so they are always at the top of my person to question list. At least I know if something was to go wrong, I'm in one of the best places for immediate care. Plus my Dr. and hospital are right across the street. It's nice to have friends you can turn to for questions. What field of nursing does your friend work in?

I so wanted to see him about my weight loss and headaches, but I work in a Nursing school and am surrounded by Master's prepared Nurses who let me pick their brain when I have a question. They told me that so long as the baby looks healthy then all is well. They said to just keep eating as often as possible and as healthy as possible and make sure to take my vitamins. I will post my pics today. I picked out the best 4 of the 12.

This looks just like an ultrasound I did a few weeks ago. I did it at work, but tomorrow (wed) we have our amnio and will find out the sex of the baby from the professionals!!! Congratulations!!!

I wasn't able to see the Dr. We basically went in for the u/s, then waited for the Dr. until his nurse came out to tell us that he will see us on our next appt. I was bummed. But, we now know that we are having a girl. The picture was pretty clear. I will try to get them posted tomorrow. I have 4 pictures to post out of the 12 they gave me. I envy you for no m/s. The only craving I can claim to have is for milk. Oh well. Keep me posted on how you are doing and feeling.

Thank you for your message. I try not to worry, but I just want to make sure I'm doing everything healthy for my baby. I'm really not showing or gaining weight. I do feel little movements once in a while and that makes me feel better. This pregnancy is completely different from my other ones. I always had cravings and no food aversions. I definately need to talk to my Dr. about my concerns. We follow up with him right after our u/s today. Again, thank you for your information.

I like the bella band. I am not married to it or anything. I actually got mine too small. I was trying to decided between 2 different sizes and thought I would get the smaller size to ensure that it held up my pants. But it feels like it squeezes me a little too much and I don't like that.

It is good to have for the "transistion period" when nothing is fitting.

i haven't had an extremely difficult pregnancy, but not easy either, i would like to see the sonogram pics where they said it was probably a boy, i go for my u/s on May 29th to find out what we're having =)

Your welcome! I know at my doctors, week 20 is the last U/S I will get unless I go beyond my est. due date (like I did with my first daughter) they do this to check the fluid levels (they want to see 5%-20% around the baby and I was at 3%)...My Doctor's office is also "old school" lets say (extreamly knowledgeable, professional and Personable) but they don't do any unnessary stuff as most "modern" doctors do...

How are you feeling? Feeling the baby move yet? Are you finding out what you are having? Do you have a preferance?
