I am so happy for you. It seems like we're getting a hang of this motherhood thing, huh? Some doctors seem to think they are God sent and think there is a cookie cutter diagnois for every child - That's when experiments go wrong.. She is adorable. We are about to go get Jordan 4 month pictures next week - I can't wait.

saw your post re/vac's. I would SOOO report that doc!! It's good for you to trust your insticts when it comes to parenting. Go to La Leche League.com for a group of moms in your area. They are a lot more holistic in aproach and offer a suggested vaccine schedule that spreads them out a little more. It's a sensitive subject, but some facts can't be hollored away!

We're doing better now that she has learned to accept take a bottle after breastfeeding for 3 months. She knew how to take a bottle she was just choosing not to take one - I think they call that stubborn. I had to have her around more people than just me to get her out of that "stuck to mommie stage", she's is a totally different baby since the traveling and the bottle - much more pleasant and independent. We've been busy since she turned 2 months My mom said Jordan has flown on airplanes more in her first 90 days of life then the average human in a life time. So now we're packing again to head out to Atlanta for my brothers wedding. We have one more trip to Jacksonville, FL and hopefully we'll be finish with traveling for a couple of months.......I think. What did you finally decide on with Myah's shots????

Hey you!!! Sorry for just getting this. I went away for the 4th! Nia got 3 shots and a dose of something via her mouth. She got 2 shots in one leg and 1 in the other. I gave her tylenol for infants and it helped with the pain. Nia goes back on 7/25 for more shots and I still don't think it will be 6 shots. I know she had a few shots at birth.

HELL NAW...I have NOT allowed them to give my baby all of those vaccines at once!!! We are on an alternate vaccination schedule. I only allow one shot at a time ... my limit is 2. The Dr is going to try to scare you into giving all at once and many swear on their licenses that the vaccines are safe but if you read what is in them you would think twice. I recommend the vaccine book by Dr. Sears, it tells you about the different vaccines and gives you the ingredients (by manufacture). If nothing more it can help you make a more informed decision about your baby's health. You do have the right to alter your vaccination schedule or decline certain vaccines if you choose...a good Dr. will work with you. If your Dr. is not willing to work with you then I would find another Dr.

yea my boy had 7 vaccines at once. I know it's crazy especially with all the controversy over whether the vaccines lead to autism. there are ways that they can space them out but i don't know if it's recommended or not. i think that they're more recommended to be given all at once. you should speak to your baby girl's pedi to see his/her views on it.

I agree with MommyOf2LittleBoys, My daughter got 4 shots at her 2 month check-up and I almost refused those (the only reason I didn't refuse was we were flying and I didn't want to take a chance with the recycled air on the air plane). I did some research on the 2 month and 4 month shots and ask my doctor a ton of questions first because my brother was telling me how he read that the baby's shots included a presevative that was leading to autism. Only until my doctor explained things to the point that it made since to ME and allowed ME to feel comfortable did I go ahead with the shots. My mom always says to follow your gut and you'll never go wrong and it sounds as if you did just that. I thought 4 was pushing it but 7 is a bit much.

I am not sure what your talking about. The only thing I know for Kendal is those Hepatitis shots. She suppose to get 3. She got one right when she was born. Shes gonna get another at 8weeks and another I believe at 2months. 7vaccines? never heard of 7shots together but then again my boo boo is only 5weeks!

Hey, You are not wrong in refusing to do so many shots at once. Our babies are so tiny and it is a shock to their system to get all of them at once. My youngest is 6 mo. and has not had any shots yet. I am not going to start until after he is 2 yr. He is going to stay home with me and not be in daycare. If your little one is going to daycare, you need to get with a pediatrician that understands and educates you about the vaccines beacause they will need some simply due to being around so many children and their bugs. I bought the Vaccine book written by Dr. Bob Sears, he has info. on all vaccines and a delayed shot schedule. We are blessed to have our pediatrician; she is very understanding and is fine with what we decide. Best wishes for finding one that understands and is not just out for the money! Take care!
