Hi my name is Dawn..I am happily married since August 19th, 2006. I have a 12 year old son from a previous marriage and a 6 month old daughter. We planned to get pregnant right away after my daughter was born because of my age. I love being a mom. I worked at a bank for 21 years as a branch manager and gave it up to become a stay at home mom and wouldnt have it any other way.. Its such a big change..

I FINALLY got my results back from my amnio. Everything is perfect and its confirmed, we're having another girl..
UPDATE***November 2009...
So here I am once again. Since ive last been really active on this site, I had my daughter Rose in April 2007 and also my daughter Grace in April 2008. So we are beginning a new venture and also my last pregnancy. We found out we were expecting again in September 2009. So excited as we know this is it for us. Strange as it is, we had decided after trying to get pregnant for 9 months that we were done after my 40th birthday. Of course that how things work right ? The month after I mentally was "ok" with this decision, We get a positive result. Hopefully, this will be a great pregnancy and easy delivery for us. Ive met so many great friends on this site, many i still talk to and have actually met. I hope you have the same experience.

People are very strange. Of course I never understood how emotionally painful a miscarriage was until I had one. Now I just think back and hope I didn't say insensitive things as well. The friend that said those things to me had several miscarriages and a couple of abortions, I have come to the conclusion that she never really had a heart anyway. We too are no longer speaking. A 22 year friendship ending because of her selfish and self centered ways. I am doing fine, I hope you are as well.

Just got some good news! Well, remember my post about my ex husband robbing banks?? Well I actually helped the detectives find him and they called me yesterday and told me that the bankers association sent me out a check for a $500 reward for helping in the capture of my ex!!! This will definitely help with X-Mas. I was kinda hoping for more, but its free money, money I didnt have!! YAY!!!!!!!

I had the exact type reactions...from my mom to all my friends. I think when you are young and having your first everyone is excited and sweet, after that they are hateful for whatever reason. I got the better you than me crap. In fact, last year I had 2 miscarriages, and my best friend in the world said, "well you didn't need anymore anyways". Gotta love people!

I have a question for you guys. My cousin just told me she is 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant, due on July 27, 2010. Her HCG Blood results were 112, the blood test was taken even before she missed her period, her docs said it was low, and today she will find out what her 2nd test numbers came out as. Her doc told her it should have been anywhere between 5 to 456. Does 112 sound low to you guys even if it was taken before she even was due for her AF? Thanks, Dana

Just got my test results back and they are negative, yay! That means the risks of anything happening the next 2-3 weeks are very minimal. I am contemplating whether or not to basically go on bed rest though, since my cervix is still shortening. My own doctor is not a fan of bed rest, but so many sites say it may prevent early labor when you have incompetent cervix. After all the baby is pushing less down on the cervix when you are off your feet. My mom arrived yesterday and is here for 7 weeks, so that is good. It means that either way I can take it easier. I am also waiting to hear back from my doctor about whether or not we can do progesterone injections which is known to help prevent preterm labor. I can't thank everyone enough for the kind and encouraging comments you sent me after my last post. I was so touched by the friendships I have here and so thankful for the prayers. Much love, Karin

Dear friends, please pray for me and baby. I had an extra ultrasound today that I personally requested because is has been 8 weeks since they checked my cervix. I am funneling - meaning my cervix is getting shorter. It is now about 2.7 whereas it was 3.5 8 weeks ago. Studies have shown that women with a cervix shorter than 2.5 has a 50% chance of going into early labor. My doctor took a swap to test for Fetal Fibronectin, a protein that is produced when the body is preparing for labor. I should have the test results by the end of the day. If they are positive there is a 15% chance I will go into labor the next 2 weeks. Please pray it will be negative!! Either way they will be keeping a close eye on me and I will have another ultrasound in two weeks. I am so glad I followed my heart and requested this extra scan, even if I don't have any labor symptoms. Of course I am anxiously waiting for these results - it will be a long afternoon. Hello everyone, I have not been able to log on to the site in several days, i keep getting error like the link was broken or something. Anyways I got my initial results back from the CVS and everything is fine, final results in another week. I took the gender prediction test at 6 weeks and it said it was a boy, well.... it was right i am having a BOY!!!!! Yay, after 4 girls it is about time!!!!!

Sure does make you happy. Id had negative thoughts due to pains etc so i was really happy to see baby had grown and had a healthy heartbeat...cant wait see him/her again in 4 weeks

Hello, so i had my nuchal scan yesterday (will post some pics shortly) and everything is great bubs was so cute waving all the way through i have a 1:2370 chance of dows so thats also good and yay they had a look at the gender now she says not to holder to it but we have a little boy but if bubs turns out to be a little girl we dont mind just happy and healthy !!!! Hope you're well!!!!

Hay hunny, my nuchal scan went realy well
we got to see babys heart beating the blood round, nuchal fliud, nasal bone, blood pumped around babys abdomin and everything looks great that coupled with my blood test gives me a 1:2370 risk of downs which their really happy with also we got given a good probability of a boy which is also realy nice as i have 2 girls but healthy is all i really care about i will post some pics shortly he just kept waving at us i'm so in love

Yeah I think my daughter will overjoyed if she gets a little sister. It will be like a real life doll haha Yeah I am having an u/s next week (the 12wk one which tests for down syndrome) and then ill have another one at 18 weeks and hopefully then they can confirm the sex. Fingers crossed a peewee starts growing if its not already there LOL

Hiya dawn thanks for all your encouragment and advice. Im due for my 13 weeks scan on friday so will feel better when. Got see midwife the following tuesday. Decided not touch the doppler till then as ive had a few days worrying cause of it...but knowing me i will!!

Hello ladies, I hope everyone is doing well! I haven't been on in a while, since my ex-husband got caught for the bank robberies (thanx for all the support and nice comments) My 9 month old, my 11 year old and my 12 & 13 year old step daughters all have H1NI!!! They were confirmed on Monday so I have been a little busy, I just got the vaccination on tuesday so hopefully I will not get it also. They are all dong Ok and have been put on Tamiflu to help ease the symptoms. Just wanted to stop in really quick and wish everyone well. Oh yeah, I had my 1 trimester screening and my us was normal but blood work showed a 2% chance of Down Syndrome so I opted to do the CVS screening, I get that done in Boston next Wednesday. Please say prayers for us that everything will be OK. God Bless xoxox

Hay all sorry it has been so long and I promise to reply to all my messages. I'm really quite ill at the moment, got a bad chest infection and my glands are really swollen, anyhow enough about me. Poppy had an amazing Birthday and was just too darn adorable. I posted 1 pic but will upload more when I can. Also I had my dating scan today woohoo baby bounced about it was so amazing I have added little bunny boos 1st pic as my profile I am 11 weeks 3 days and am booked in for my cerclauge on the 23rd so please keep everything crossed I have my nuchal scan next Tuesday as well.
