wow wow had my 4d scan yesterday and it was the MOST amazing thing ever!! i was so amazed at how much like a newborn he looks already and he was very well behaved facing the camera the whole time just rubbing his eyes and yawning everynow and then (i think he was asleep- despite the hideous glucose drink Id had an hour before to try make him active)- we got it on DVD , 4 still photos of our choice and also the disk of 20 still photos! wow now I cant wait to see him for real- but time is going toooo quick already and we need to paint his nursery and everything yet!!

I just wanted to say how much I love this site - I wish I had found it when I had my boys! its so lovely to be able to chat to other pregnant mums/1st time mums about pretty much anything from prams to babygrows to weight to feeding - I have lots of friends and family to talk to but are they do they really want to sit and listen to me talk about all these things 24 hours a day lol!I hope all of you lovely ladies have happy healthy pregnancies - take it easy xxx

You will notice I have added music to my page! well the 1st song you hear is very special to me in this pregnancy - after my 3 miscarriages I was obviously very stressed and when I got pregnant with Rudy I was trying so so hard to keep calm and relaxed I heard this song on the TV and found the album on Itunes - I used to listen to it in my car continually and whenever I could - it really helped me feel positive about this pregnancy and for that reason this song will always hold a special special place in my heart - 3 weeks to go not long now - I love you all xxx

well i cant figure out how to change it from pregnant to ive gave birth so i thought id better type it in an update for now!! baby Rudy John Parr arrived after a record 46 minute (induced) labour Friday 14th March - birth weight a surprising 9lbs 4oz!! I only had gas and air and didnt even need a stitch!! he `s feeding well and we have just arrived home..... and then there were 5... will post birth story very soon. much love Dawn,Baby Rudy & Family xxxxx

31st October 2007 - well Ive just got home from my 20 week scan and everything great - AND we found out that we are having our 3rd son!! so its just goes to show all the gender predictions and ring/crystal danglings were WRONG !!! I think deep down I knew I was having another little boy!!! and already I have come around to the idea of having 4 men in my life (including daddy that is) - my boys have said from day 1 that they want another brother so they will get what they wanted!!! we have decided on the name Rudy - but the middle name is still up there!! maybe John after my late Grandad as Rudy John Parr sounds good I reckon...

Yes, Michaela is a little outnumbered now, there was a little bit of jealousy at first, especially when we found out it was a girl, but she is coming around, and is actually helping me get cute little pink things for her, hehe.

Funny, isn't it...no matter how many kids you have had, it's still an adjustment those first few nights! We had a rough night...so Jeff made me take a nap this morning...three hours...I feel half normal now!
How is the mucus issue? I am still amazed - 46 minutes!!good lord woman you are lucky you didn't have Rudy betweent the kitchen and the bathroom!!!
I've wondered about the heartbeat bear...do you find it helps? JJ is almost three weeks now...should I try it? Yes, we also introduced a soother. I am a bit hesitant about it and try to use it judiciously (like you - make sure fed, burped and dry first and if all else fails, soother) but Jeff uses it to stave off JJ's hunger or whenever he gets fussy...if I am running around outside or sleeping...which I don't think is good. Baby should eat when baby is hungry...so we've had some chats about it. Your thoughts? I just find if we hold off on feeding him, he is a NIGHTMARE that night...which is what happened yesterday.

'only waking once between 12 and 6 so i can handle that' are you serious??? DREAM child!!! My babe sleeps oh about 1-3 hours before needing/wanting mommas boob. I have even brought him into bed when he is fussy in the middle of the night...although I am terrified of squishing him or suffocating him, so then I do not sleep well. I know he is feeding well and getting enough cause we have lots of heavy dirty nappies. I try to change him only once in the night as he is WIDE awake after that. I figure if he isn't fussing too much or seem uncomfortable he must be ok.

Oh that is super cute. I am glad the boys are enjoying him. Do you have younger siblings? I only have the one older so I have no idea what it would be like to get a younger sibling.

Weight loss - I lost 25 lbs (half of what I put on) by day 10. It has slowed considerably now. Belly is looking better though (man was that ever weird) and I have attempted to put on pre-preg jeans, but have really bad muffin top - you know when whatever doesn't fit in waistband gathers over top like a muffin!! LOL!!!
I know, I really need to focus on drinking more water and eating less chocolate and having less coffee!! I am walking everyday now though...anywhere from 45 min to 1.5 hours. So important for the endorphines and mental health! So are the boys at home with you? Jeff has been fabulous with JJ. It melts my heart to see him loving him so much!

bloomin heck, yeh i no wot you mean ive been in pain for past 3 weeks but have been hanging on coz i knew i had this appointment to go to, worst bit was that every time my tooth started hurting real bad i had a banging earache and it was really difficult for me to swallow too but never mind its all done with now so no need to worry. why couldnt you have yor tooth crowned while you were pregnant ? i thort it was just xrays they couldnt do. wow you are lucky to be signed off so soon i had to wait 2nhalf weeks ! its not like we dont know wot were doing for goodness sake lol well thats not too bad tho but you expect them to lose a little more being breastfed. wes gained an ounce at 5 days but im bottle feeding him x x

yeh lol thats just what they did, wot a p*** off !! got on alright at the dentist yesterday i had my last wisdom tooth pulled out. i wasnt expecting it as we only went for a checkup and i was waiting for her to give me an appointment for after the weekend but she hooked it out there and then ! neways hows little rudy getting on have you had the midwife weigh him yet ? x x

i just read the msg you left for laura bout your stay in hospital. when i had to stay in with wes the 5 bed bit i was in there were two other mums one was older prob my age and a youngun. the youngun had her mobile fone on vibrate and every time it went off whoever it was, was argueing for ages with her and no sooner had she hung up someone else was ringing her. this went on til gone 3 in the morning. i cant say i was that tired really but its not the point. i should have said something really but why are people so inconsiderate. then when i had ryan there was an indian lady next to me but she had a cesearean and ALL her family turned up and coz there was so many of them there wasnt enough room and they ended up overflowing into my cubicule and the curtains were pulled round. the bloody midwives never said a word until they were still there half an hour after visiting ended !!

Hi there got my ambulance cover today LOL. How are you going so far with 3 princes .I love the photo where your wearing the pink top holding Rudy he looks so cute and very huggable.Hope you and your family have a lovely weekend .Im getting one of those soothers bears this tuesday theres a big sale on at Toys R Us alot of it is 70 % off bargains galore cant wait to finally buy some stuff for baby :D

hi no i wouldnt let zoe watch the birth i joked with her about it and she wouldnt want to anyways! :-) they are going to have a lil party in there bedroom that day they are good girls so i have no worries about them coming down etc till they are told. (we have no family here as we moved when hubby joined army) . pros of homebirth no car parking costs no telling me when i can go home and not having to leave my girls and at home we get 2 midwives concentrating on me. i have already been through homebirth with my first unplanned! so a planned one is even better lol! ur boys enjoying there brother ? x lauze x

omg im so happy got the call today to tell me i can have my homebirth as my iron has improved loads!! so after tidying round and collecting the gas and air my hubby joked come on then were ready what u messing around at lol !! if only but at least we are all ready now :-) hope ur all well lauze x

yes i am a hairdresser, i do it from home, on the side as so to speak. I nearly completed my training but i fell pregnant with chloe and had to cut it short and as i was only 17 i thort i could go back to college but that didnt happen either ! i know enough to get by and i never get any complaints ! yeh i no wot you mean by the resembleance you could have passed him off as your own ! i think its the squished up look from being born lol. dont you think newborns look alike tho but you can definately tell the girls from the boys. that picture you referred to is my fave out of them all but as the weeks pass he has changed so much. im glad ive got this site else taking pictures would definately get overlooked, hope rudy is still treating you good x x x

HaHa I know what you mean I still call my kids their brothers names here and there even hubby does at times I remember calling my youngest cameron I called him sooky our dogs name.Went to my midwives appointment and they didnt have an appoinment on their computer so I have to wait another week I thought that was bloody crap.Never mind Iv got the kids home for 4 days easter holiday break then they have 3 days after that then a week then 2 weeks holiday again.Im going to have to think of some interesting things to keep them entertained:D
Iv seen those teddys with the sound of the heartbeat all 3 of my boys always slept right through the night from the get go Iv been pretty lucky there if this one doesnt sleep to well Im defiantly going to buy one of those teddys their cute too.At the momment where extending the back of our house 2 more bedrooms games room and a another loungeroom havent started yet still in the process of plans hubby wants to do alot himself and he only has 1 day off a week I think its going to be a very long process lol. plus his never done anything like this before his really excited about it I think its quiet funny just hope it doesnt stress him out to much .Hope you enjoy your day Im getting to the tired stages of pregnancy must get some sleep I could sleep half the day I reckon.
