I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

hi there, sorry i havent been in touch for ages. both are home now. harry was home after 3 weeks and isla got home after 6 wks. she ended up with a head cold and wouldnt suck her feed properly without holding her breath and turning blue. panic over now though. both are doing good - 8 weeks old today. doesnt seem like that long ago though. time has gone so fast - harry weighs 8lb and isla now weighs 6lb 14oz. isla has reflux though and kept being sicky after feeding and when we lay her down - so we have a thickener for in her food and fingers crossed that seems to do the trick and no more big vomits. harry doing ok and looks huge now even though they are average in size of normal single newborns, lol. he had a bit of constipation and we had to change his milk formula - seems to be getting there now and not as unsettled but only changed it yesterday so hopefully in a day or 2 he will be much better. how are ur 2 bambino's? hope all is weel and u are enjoying thetime u spend with them. however sometimes im so tired i feel like crying and feel like im running on empty half the week. but my mum took them for the day yesterday and i went to bed and caught up on some sleep - sleep for 6 hrs undisturbed and it was great. just because of harry and his constipation - was only getting 2 hrs sleep a night for 4 days. i dont know where the time goes either - 1 minute im getting up and trying to get dressed and out the door etc - the next its 11pm and im putting my pj's on and trying to go to bed, lol. how have u been finding it? has brett found any work yet? steve at work mon-fri and its hard when he not tere but half the time i go to my mums and the rest i try to stay at home. hard when they both want fed at same time though. and i feel bad when 1 is starting to cry and im dealing with the other. hope u get what i mean. hope to hear from u soon and i will reply. now able to get online for about an hr at most a day so thats good. take care and love to all x

hi there, sorry not been on for ages. but i had the babies. they came at 32w 6 days. early, but they doing ok. both still in hosp just now and doing well. harry coming home on tues or wed and isla just taking a bit of time sucking all her feeds but she getting there. said she will be out a week after. harry weighs 4lb 2 1/2oz and isla weighs 4lb 1oz. came out weighing 3lb 10 and 3lb 12. they both doing good. natural birth and only 2 stitches. im doing ok and have been able to get some rest in which is good i suppose before the sleepless nights etc. i hope all is well for u and everything going ok. got their room ready for them even though they will be in our room for first 3-6 mnths. i have the cold though so im not allowed up to hosp incase i give them germs so just steven away today. but feeling a bit better than yesterday. looking forward to them coming home but at same time a bit nervous. take care xx

hi there, how are u keeping?
im not too bad. a little tired and feet still sore and swollen most days but im doing good. go to hosp every week to get bp monitored but that seems to be ok now. then every 2 weeks for scans. we had lots of problems with the flat we moved into so jst now im back at my parents but moving again on mon - into a great place with no issues - yay for us! i think maybe its a good thing that im not sleeping 100% now - means it wont be such a shock when they arrive and im up at 3am to feed etc, lol. thats great they dont think the babies will be sugar dependant and also u can stop the needles straight away. still not packed my hospital bag - doing it next week after moving. then it will be ready and waiting. i just hope i dont go before then. its kinda packed just not all of it. i just need to get a couple of things but babies bag is ready and waiting. how was ur party u went to? what time did u make it out til? hope all is well and to hear from u soon x

Well we are well. I am having trouble with hip pain after working all day at the offic. Yesterday I worked 15 hours and my hips were so sore.

I love the names you have picked out. We know Baby A is Tatum, but Baby B we are still unsure as we do not know the sex yet!

hi, im off this week and back to work next week. then thats me off - woo hoo! i know what u mean about the sleeping. its horrendous - steven has been sleeping in the spare room so i have bed to myself and dont wake him up coz im fidgeting too much. ribs sore too - but one of their heads is at the bottom of them so when i sit it feels like im being crushed - its gross, lol. they have been moving about lots the last weeks or so and everytime i think im going to get to sleep they start to move again or one of them does at least. oh the joys!!!! back not been too bad to be honest but the tiredness is kicking in and i have felt more teary too. infact on sun night i felt so sorry for myself i think i just cried myself to sleep - i dont remember actually going to sleep but i remember complaining and being uncomfortable and achy. just now i half sit up and half lie down when watching telly etc as ribs hurt so much. feet a little better - but prob coz ive been resting and have them elevated for at least an hr a day just now. next week will be a bit hard at work - i think i'll be even more teary and more tired but 1 week to go so not that bad. how are u getting on with ur diabeties? all good i hope. sometimes i wish i didnt know what they were but in a way im glad i do - i have got most things i need just the last few bits and bobs like the bath and some more vests and nappies and i need now. going to pack my bag next week after i actually finish work. i know what i need for me - but what do i take for the babies bag? i get nappies and wipes etc in hospital but what do i take for them? everyone tells me different but what are u taking? just so i can compare and maybe have a better idea. i feel useless sometimes. hope to hear from u soon. take care x

Thanks for replying I am glad all is well with you! It sounds like you are in the home stretch now. I have felt pretty well also. Just so tired somedays. The doctors checked my glucose early too but lucklly we passed it for now. They will repeat later on again.

We do have twins in the family but it has been 5 generations since we have had any! Quite an exciting day it was when we found out. Blake and Gabby are very excited and YES they do want one of each, which would be perfect!

Do you have names picked out yet? We are still trying to decide on some we both like.Good luck and I hope to hear more from you soon!

hi love, im off work this week. my feet are really sore and doc said best to rest this week. then i go back for 3 weeks then off from 27th june - woo hoo! cant wait the place getting on my nerves now, lol. ive not started my hospital bag yet - was going to wait til i finished up at work then do it. i think thats enough time - but then again i might do it before then as i maybe get caught out. how u been keeping? and thats good they are identicle - u sure u dont want to know what they are? we have definately decided on the names - Harry for the boy and Isla for the girl (again this is a scottish name and is said ila as the S is silent) - how the jags going? u on anymore or still the 4? take care and talk soon x

hi deb, hows u getting on just now? are u still on 4 needles for the diabeties? i hope that will stop too after u have the babies. im sure it will. so ur looking to stop work about 1 week before me. i cant wait for the time off - really cant. not sure if im getting c-sec or not yet. they were breach the last time but i go again 28th may and will see again - they said they have about 4 weeks or so to move then they wont be able to - id rather know now like u though. i have no patience - would rather just be prepared and then know whats what! im also starting to think about hospital bag and have been asking my mum and family what they took etc. i think im driving them mad! what u taking in urs? ur names are lovely - i think i prefer lucas and eve though - so maybe u will have one of each like me - are u going to ask?

hi, the pain u get sometimes on ur chest - i get too - well i think may be the same thing - my consultant and midwives say although can be caused by babies if lying right there it can happen if not there too. said its due to everything being squashed up into ur diaphragm and ribcage. doe sit feel sore and achy sometimes and other time like a numbness? if so thats what i get sometimes. sometimes either lying flat or sitting up very straight for a bit helps relieve it. have you thought on names yet? in a way im jealous ur getting the same and identicle - but i suppose with me at least i'll never be confused - and if mine were the same and identicle id need to have name badges for them - haha! i finish work on fri 27th june. thats 5 weeks away - cant wait! looking forward to having a bit of time to rest and things as it will be all hands on deck when they arrive! just now one is breach and the other transverse (lying across my belly in a horizontal position) so im getting a c section - they may move but if not moved within next 4-5 weeks then doc thinks they wont move at all..... will see.... hope all is well x

hi love, IT'S A BOY AND A GIRL! yay.... i love that i can get pink and blue things! lol. wasnt going to find out but couldnt help myself yesterday at scan. i just needed to know. not sure on names - have 2 for a boy and 2 for a girl - tell u them and u can tell me what u think - boys - Harry or Finn - girls - Abbey or Isla (isla is scottish and is said ILA - has a silent s in it) what u think of those? how are u keeping now? hope all is well :) x

hi there, i havent really been on too much. i also moved 2 weeks ago so things been a bit hectic. not been feeling too great - had a sore back and big swollen feet, lol. feet ok after a couple of days rest. and back ok too - i have a back support to wear every second day - think weight lifters belt and thats what it looks like - oh the joys - haha! im on 2 weekly scans now starting this wed 14th may - woo hoo! cant wait to see them again. then every 2 weeks. i think im going to ask what sex they are too. but im not too sure - i want to know and i dont at same time - i drive steve mad with this, lol. thats good ur doing well and the babies too. im sorry i havent been in touch too much. just been manic at the minute. im nearly 25 and just left home - never lived out of my parents house so finding that a little strange too! ive got another 7 weeks of work then thats me finished but im looking to speak with our HR dept and change dates so hopefully only another 5 weeks to go then im finished..... how u feeling today?

hi, so glad to hear everything went great for u! thats good they are keeping a close eye on u though and checking because of ur diabeties. lets u know they care! im ok thanks. feeling better. ive started a water class - water aerobics for pregnant people. its taken by a midwife and 2 physiotherapists. its a good laugh. lets u meet other pregnant people and also ask questions u maybe wouldnt want to ask when ur partner is there. they are really good. i feel like a buddah! and feeling the extra weight now and carrying it about tires me out. haha!. feel it too when i bend down to put socks on and tie shoe laces. i sound like an old granny here, ha! no i dont know what im having yet. im still not wanting to know and steve does so i may change my mind but for just now im wanting it to be a surprise. both mine were lively too. i feel little things everyday. but nothing big enough yet to suck the wind out of me!. im waiting ont hat. my sister says it can be real sore sometimes.! not decorated anything yet. but i have picked everything out. all whites and pale wood for drawers and wardrobes etc. their bedding is going to be quite bright colours. i think its better to stimulate them as they grow and the colours will help to occupy them when older and lying awake for 10-15 mins before they start to cry. im mad - my sister tells me - but i have heard lots of horror stories - im sure u have too. cant wait til 14th may when i go back to see them. then after that i go every 2 weeks. i suppose u go more with ur diabeties etc. nice to see them on the screen though! :)

good morning, or maybe good noght where u are, lol. its 9.10am and im at work. so thats the answer to ur question. yes im working til the 11th july then going to be off. need to work otherwise i'll just go crazy when im sitting about. but things may change depending on how comfortable etc i am. yes my bosses are good with me too - i get a tues and thurs morn off to go to antenatal classes and a yoga class for pregnant people, nice to meet people and they say its good to stretch and do gentle excersise. i have my next appoint on 2nd april - so fingers crossed. kinda scary they check for the growth and make sure they ok. they also can see every organ from their 4 heart chambers to their kidneys etc. but im sure it'll go ok. lucas is the name i liked for a boy - have liked it since i had a miscarriage last year so if at least one is a boy then we will call him lucas. it was my sister that gave me the name in june last year. but im not too sure on any other names. i like abbey for a girl. but i only have one of each - so i guess they better not be the same sex, lol! u take care and talkk soon :) x

hi, good to hear form u. i wasnt really sick to be honest with u. just a little yuk feeling to start with and sick a few times, but having trouble sleeping now - im up about 4 times a night for the toilet. i have pains in my stomach sometimes, there are nothing to worry about and they last about 5 secs each. can be casued by movement or just ligaments etc stretching. not really felt much. the odd pain and like a beating sensation from my stomach etc that lasts for a about 10 secs at a time - this my first pregnancy so not sure if its them or not. doc said may not really feel anything until about 22 weeks as my first pregnancy as as still small then not got big strong bones or muscles eyet and also because uterus stretched quite far. so im not worrying about it. im getting bigger all the time and feel little pains and strange feelings so they are there and happy. got 20w appointment on 2nd april but will be like a 21w appointment. how have u been feeling?
