I am Deep. I am 25. I live in Colorado with my husband. He is the best husband in the world. I am a housewife and will remain so till my baby comes and after that I am planning to work....We started trying a for a baby last year..We lost our first one at eight weeks...This is our second baby...I have been really scared about the health of our little one all the while...With God's blessings, I have completed my 34th week...My due date is on november 23...Can't wait to see the face of our sweetie pie...

Hi everyone..I had my baby girl on 21st at 6:12 am. We have named her 'Diya'. Following is the story of her birth :)

On Monday (20th) morning, I went for my usual check up and the doc checked me for dilation.. She said I was still at 1 cm and 75% effaced. I asked her about the backpain etc associated with epidural and she said epidural will be a good idea since this is my first delivery and tat the labor might be long since the baby is small...We decided to go with the doctor's advice.. During the whole of monday night, I had strong contractions 10 minutes apart. I didn't rush to the hospital and waited for more signs. By tuesday (20th) afernoon, the contractions got stronger, but still 10 minutes apart. By 5 pm we decided to head on to the hospital.. When I reached there, the contractions got painful and even stronger at about 30 seconds long and 5 minutes apart ..I wasn't even able to walk properly..I knew that was it...They checked me and said I am already in labor. My cervix was still 1 cm dilated and 75% effaced. My contractions were steady now..2 minutes apart. By 10 pm, I was contracting with unbearable pain. I was given epidural within 30 minutes.. At 12pm, My nurse told me that I was 2 to 3 cm dilated... My contraction slowed down dramatically by 2 am. I was already drowsy from the epidural.. All this while I was laying down on my back. My back hurt and I decided to turn to my right side.. As soon as I did so, my contractions became stronger and closer together as before.. At 4am, my nurse told me I was 5 cm dilated and fully effaced. By 5:30 am, I started feeling something pushing down on my cervix...Nurese checked again and said its the bag of waters pushing through the cervix...After half an hour, I felt like vomiting... As I puked, my bag of waters broke with a pop sound...within five minutes, my doctor came ...I felt this overwhelming pressure to push and I told my doc abou that... She asked me to push with each contraction..Within 15 minutes after I started to push, my baby came out :) at 6:12 am. As her head came out she opened her eyes and looked at her father, the doctor and all the nurses surrounding her and then tried to go inside.. :) My doctor asked me to stop pushing and slowly pulled her head out saying "we're here". They cut the cord, wiped her and laid her down on my chest for me to hold. That was one of the happiest moment of my life.. I couldn't and still can't believe that I had my baby :) As a side effect of the epidural, My body was itching from the face to my tummy and I developed a slight fever due to the itching. The baby also has a slightly high temerature. That was a matter of concern for the doctors but her temperature came down a little while later... Looking back, I feel so proud and happy. Even though my pregnancy had its own small problems all the while, my little one's face makes me think that every pain that I had gone through was worth it :)
