2/12/08 155 bpm

2/18/08 The family heard the heartbeat! 151 & 154 bpm

3/17/08 Heartbeat was 142!

3/24/08 Heartbeat was 154 at our u/s. It's a boy!!! We are over the moon!

4/14/08 Heartbeat was 136!

4/18/08 Kenny saw and felt the little guy move for the first time!

4/22/08 The girls felt the little guy move for the first time!! They were so excited and amazed!

4/28/08 Baby is still a boy! HR 152. He weighs 1lb 2oz! Everything looks great! He wouldn't stop moving during the entire u/s! He's a hyper little guy!!!

4/29/08 It's my birthday! Turned 37, yuk!!

5/15/08 Felt my first little elbow, knee, heel or something pointy! It was little, almost the size of two knuckles put together. When I went to push it Andersen took off! Then he came back and I pushed it again and he ran off again, but this time he didn't come back!! Guess he is not into playing yet! :)

5/16/08 Doctor's appointment today ~ doctor was kind of grumpy today! Andersen's HR was 136! And I only gained 2lbs!!!

Welcome to my page!

Hello everyone and thanks for visiting!

I am a mom of 2 girls ages 14 and 7 , and I am expecting a new little one in August. The new one was a bit of a shock, but such a happy, welcome surprise!

I am an older mom I guess (sounds so ancient), I am 36 years old and will be 37 when the baby is born. I am a little afraid of the age thing, but from what I have read from other moms in the same age group, things should be fine. I believe that!

My first daughter was an emergency c-section and my second daughter I had a VBAC. Neither delivery was much fun since each held its own problems. With the c-section I lost a lot of blood and was anemic for a long time after. I was as white as a sheet and very tired. The VBAC was not a smart move for me and I wish I would have had a repeat c-section. I pushed for almost 3 hours and ruined my pelvic floor, I had a cystocele, rectocele, and a uterine prolapse from all of the pushing. I was incontinent for over a year later until I decided to have the repairs done.

I had the repairs done when my youngest daughter was almost 2 years old and it was wonderful! I no longer wet my pants when I sneezed or jumped. I did still have some bulging from the cystocle and my uterus was lower than normal. The doctor who did the surgery recommended that I not get pregnant so I wouldn't ruin my repairs. Needless to say, I am a worried about my repairs not holding up.

This pregnancy is such a gift! I had such a hard time getting pregnant with my youngest daughter, it took over a year doing temps and charting, and I had a miscarriage before her, it was very draining. This time we were not trying to get pregnant, just tossing the thought around a little, we were even using control methods, and when was a day late I thought maybe I should take a test since I am as regular as clockwork. Sure enough, POSITIVE!! The hubby and I were surprised but thrilled! It was such a miracle to me that it didn't take a ton of trying, or even trying once for that matter!

So far, I have had 3 doctor's appointments with 2 ultrasounds, one just to confirm the pregnancy and one to calm my fears since I was spotting a few times. Things look good so far, the baby has a strong heartbeat and is on track for growth development. Yeah!

A little about me, I am a fulltime student, I work as a youth director at a church and I have been married to the same loving guy for 15 years. I don't really have any hobbies, but I love to watch movies when I can - I especially enjoy renting them, curling-up in my chair with a blanket and indulging in a huge bowl of popcorn!

I would love to meet other moms that share some of the same things I have going on. Feel free to stop by and say hi! And congrats to you!

Madame Zaritska's reading

What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be rainy. Your baby will arrive in the afternoon.

After a labor lasting approximately 2 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 2 ounces, and will be 20 inches long. This child will have light blue eyes and dark hair.

My god you're just in week 25?!? Hurry up and have that baby already! Have you gotten a make-over yet? lol

mplsmama - Saturday, 10 May
How are you doing? Haven't talked to you in a while... I can't believe you're already 24 wks! Crazy! I'm in wk 35 already... the countdown is ON! :} I'm told my baby is measuring large, so I'm kind of hoping I "go" on the earlier-side, but we'll see! I get another u/s in 2 wks to find out how large s/he is... at 34 wks, s/he was already 6.5 lbs -- yikes! Hope the growth slows down a bit. Hope you're doing well!

Well its good to know that somebody feels the same way I do. It had just been racking away at my brain you know, the feeling of failure, and I dont want my daughter growing up saying well, my mommy was almost somebody. Plus, I just feel like I have a lot of pressure from my family, seeing that Im the only one who went to college. I really admire that you went back to school, I mean, going to school without children is already hard so I know that going with kids is even harder, so congrats on that!!! I think Im gonna follow suit and try online school for a semester, then see about going back to university because like your therapist said, Im really missing school. And I believe you will be well into your career before your in a walker! lol

Congrats on your new baby and I really hope everything goes well with you, school, and your children!

You're so over-exaggerat (damn I hate this word...cant remember how to spell it for the life of me...hold on let me look it up) *1 minute later* hmmm I had it right the first time. You're so over-exaggerating, your kid is not causing you to get the uglies. All pregnant women have that GLOW that only others can see.

I did the same thing a few weeks ago with my family, but I am use to a lot of exercise from before I was pregnant. Now I can't exercise cause my doctor restricted it since my 23rd week due to bleeding . Try to take a relaxing bath and get some rest today if you can. I hope you feel better. You will be fine when you get further along it sounds like you just did too much at once. I'm sorry to hear your hurting so much I hope you feel better soon.

I hear ya!! I feel so huge, this boy has actually been pretty good to me so far, not much acne and think my hair is finally starting to grow a bit before it was taking forever, going to have to go get it dyed again, I just hope my nose doesn't spread like every one says is boys do, that would just suck! And I don't wanna gain as much as I did last time, so we'll se how that works!
But no problem about the info, I'm all for catching things as soon as possible, no use having to have anything hanging around for as long as it wants, we got enough to worry about!!

Just stopping by to say hi and send blessings.
How are you doing?

GinaMummy - Tuesday, 22 April
Yeah, our weather is finally starting to warm up too... It has been really bad here, all grey and gloomy every single day. But today it feels like spring and me and Alexandra have been out in the garden all day! She is about to go to bed and she is tired out from all the fresh air and running around!
Time does seem to be flying by, I have a midwifes appointment on Friday and cant believe its been 5 weeks since I last saw her!!
Keep in touch and let me know how your getting on.
Glad that you are doing so well.

Take care my friend

I understand getting busy. Sometimes it comes in waves seems like you don't have a moment to catch your breath between stuff. My three kids are doing so well they are super excited the two younger ones 10yrs and 8yrs went to a parent helper class a couple of Saturdays ago. It was nice they learned to hold babies and feed and change and how to help out it was at the hospital. They talk to the baby and rub my stomach and they just think it's the best when the baby moves and they get to feel it. My husband is so excited he talkes to the baby and falls asleep with his hand on my stomach we are getting closer so I think the whole family is anticipating. My oldest is 16 she bought a couple outfits for the baby and we have bought a few things but we still have so much to do nothing is ready in the room so like you I would have to say that we are both procrastinators but now we see that we really only have 9 weeks give or take and we are starting to plan on the room.
Anyway have a great day Blessings to you and your family. Keep in touch when you can.
