2/12/08 155 bpm

2/18/08 The family heard the heartbeat! 151 & 154 bpm

3/17/08 Heartbeat was 142!

3/24/08 Heartbeat was 154 at our u/s. It's a boy!!! We are over the moon!

4/14/08 Heartbeat was 136!

4/18/08 Kenny saw and felt the little guy move for the first time!

4/22/08 The girls felt the little guy move for the first time!! They were so excited and amazed!

4/28/08 Baby is still a boy! HR 152. He weighs 1lb 2oz! Everything looks great! He wouldn't stop moving during the entire u/s! He's a hyper little guy!!!

4/29/08 It's my birthday! Turned 37, yuk!!

5/15/08 Felt my first little elbow, knee, heel or something pointy! It was little, almost the size of two knuckles put together. When I went to push it Andersen took off! Then he came back and I pushed it again and he ran off again, but this time he didn't come back!! Guess he is not into playing yet! :)

5/16/08 Doctor's appointment today ~ doctor was kind of grumpy today! Andersen's HR was 136! And I only gained 2lbs!!!

7/09/08 U/S to verify growth - Andersen is 4 pounds and 8 ounces! He is measuring perfect and right on time!

7/12/08 We had our baby shower!

7/17/08 C section date scheduled ~ August 20th!!!

Welcome to my page!

Hello everyone and thanks for visiting!

I am a mom of 2 girls ages 14 and 7 , and I am expecting a new little one in August. The new one was a bit of a shock, but such a happy, welcome surprise!

I am an older mom I guess (sounds so ancient), I am 36 years old and will be 37 when the baby is born. I am a little afraid of the age thing, but from what I have read from other moms in the same age group, things should be fine. I believe that!

My first daughter was an emergency c-section and my second daughter I had a VBAC. Neither delivery was much fun since each held its own problems. With the c-section I lost a lot of blood and was anemic for a long time after. I was as white as a sheet and very tired. The VBAC was not a smart move for me and I wish I would have had a repeat c-section. I pushed for almost 3 hours and ruined my pelvic floor, I had a cystocele, rectocele, and a uterine prolapse from all of the pushing. I was incontinent for over a year later until I decided to have the repairs done.

I had the repairs done when my youngest daughter was almost 2 years old and it was wonderful! I no longer wet my pants when I sneezed or jumped. I did still have some bulging from the cystocle and my uterus was lower than normal. The doctor who did the surgery recommended that I not get pregnant so I wouldn't ruin my repairs. Needless to say, I am a worried about my repairs not holding up.

This pregnancy is such a gift! I had such a hard time getting pregnant with my youngest daughter, it took over a year doing temps and charting, and I had a miscarriage before her, it was very draining. This time we were not trying to get pregnant, just tossing the thought around a little, we were even using control methods, and when was a day late I thought maybe I should take a test since I am as regular as clockwork. Sure enough, POSITIVE!! The hubby and I were surprised but thrilled! It was such a miracle to me that it didn't take a ton of trying, or even trying once for that matter!

So far, I have had 3 doctor's appointments with 2 ultrasounds, one just to confirm the pregnancy and one to calm my fears since I was spotting a few times. Things look good so far, the baby has a strong heartbeat and is on track for growth development. Yeah!

A little about me, I am a fulltime student, I work as a youth director at a church and I have been married to the same loving guy for 15 years. I don't really have any hobbies, but I love to watch movies when I can - I especially enjoy renting them, curling-up in my chair with a blanket and indulging in a huge bowl of popcorn!

I would love to meet other moms that share some of the same things I have going on. Feel free to stop by and say hi! And congrats to you!

Madame Zaritska's reading

The day you deliver, outside will be rainy. Your baby will arrive in the afternoon.

After a labor lasting approximately 2 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 2 ounces, and will be 20 inches long. This child will have light blue eyes and dark hair.

Hello Wendy Dear,
I think so often of YOU too!! I think your "vision" of me is pretty darn funny though!! YOU are the smart, put together one! "relaxed, walking on the beach"??? Are you SERIOUS??!! I need to do that though, don't I? AND I do NOT have a "tiny belly"!! Good grief! I need to post a picture SOON! I am HUGE! What was that you said about apartment complex several months ago?? LOL! Only it doesn't FEEL funny does it? I can't believe how big I am and I just don't see how I can go another 6 1/2 weeks! And I could be overdue on top of that! Where will this baby go?!?! And surely I won't be able to WALK!! Waddle is RIGHT! And early, early this morning (still dark) Tom woke me up - he said that I was hyperventilating just from turning over!! I think it was how I was laying. I feel like I can't breathe unless I'm positioned just right. My back hurts if I don't lay down, but breathing is pretty imperative!

We are making some headway in preparing Ty's room. Tom is taking a whole week off sometime this month. I expect to get the bulk of it done then and I feel so much better with each little accomplishemnt. Today I sorted all the boxes and bags that we so gratefully rec'd from family. Ty won't need ANY clothes for the first 6 months of his life and only a few things for a year!! I laundered all the 0-3 months (some cute, cute things) and am having a sweet time putting them in his little drawers. I need some kind of organizer thingie for the closet but am not sure what will work best yet...

Some of the tiredness is normal, but some is from our anemia too. Are you taking your iron regularly? I try!!

We are not having a 3-D US, but I think it is way cool how you can see so much of their face! There really is a PERSON in there!!! So amazing!! So miraculous!!

Let me know what the Dr. said. If you are anything like me (and it seems you just might be! ) the closer delivery gets and the more uncomfortable and vulnerable-feeling I get, the LESS I want to be MESSED with!! It is setting in already... I think I can anticipate it getting worse. I think my Dr. anticipates it as well! He is seeming to handle me with kid gloves these days... very much appreciated!!

Well, I must say, she (my grandbaby) IS certainly beautiful and wonderful and amazing... and I couldn't dwell too much on saying good-bye to her when I did... The Lord knows!

I am re-reading (after several years) The Hiding Place. Have you ever read it? You probably have, but I'm always amazed at how many HAVEN'T! In the chapter I just finished today, big-sister Betsy tells Corrie (what wonderful women!!) that there are no "ifs" with God! That everything happens in it's perfect time!!

Have I told you lately I just love the name Andersen?! I really do!! We still haven't come to an agreement on a middle name; isn't that sad?

Well dear, I have a few little things to finish up before heading off to bed! My love and prayers to you! And some big hugs (((()))))
SueAnn
PS: What are your 4th of July plans?

School isn't so bad. It like all of a sudden I have become more tired and lazy. I pray for God strength to get me through the semester because she is due before the semester ends. The teachers are really understandable so I know if anything happens they will work with me. I feel a lot of pressure. It just indicates that time is getting near. The nurse stated I had a trace of protein in my urine. I am going every week now. Have they mentioned anything about protein to you? What major are you thinking about? How are you feeling? 3 1/2 weeks to go. I am so excited to meet my little princess. I am ready to push and meet her. I pray that I don't tear and that labor isn't long because I am going to go all the way without the epidural. Pray for me (lol).

Thank you for checking on me.Thank you for the well wishes thoughts and prayers God knows I always need that. I'm doing good I'm just feeling a little irritated today cause I thought for sure I would have progressed a little and I haven't one bit.I had contractions Friday every 5-6 min almost all night then they would calm down and come back off and on all weekend thru yesterday today the monitor didn't pick up one. My sweet baby is head down still but hasn't dropped and is sunny side up and should be facing my spine. So I have an appointment for July 1st to do another NST u/s and see my doctor. I am really blessed though because the baby is healthy as is myself and the rest of the family. Blessings to you and your family. ttys Oh yea it's still a suprise hopefully well know soon!

I read your comment on GD. I would say you most likely have it. Your age does have something to do with that. I was like you my other 2 pregnancies i didn't have it but I was in my 20's at the time and I"m 40 now and both my parents have diabetes. But don't worry about it, it's not that bad to have. It is a life changing thing if you chose it to be. I decided I didn't want Diabetes when i'm older so because of this I changed my eating habits and theres nothing wrong with eating healthy. Let me know how it goes. good luck

moms the word - Tuesday, 17 June
Just wanted to offer you so insight on the diabetes thing. My sister failed her one hour test, went back for the three hour one and passed it. She did not have gestational diabetes. Just try to stay positive and know that you and your baby will be in my prayers. Also keep in mind that lots of women who do have gestational diabetes go on to have healthy babies.

Thanks so much for your message! Yeah, I'm absolutely loving being a mommy! I can't believe how beautiful my little Maisie is... not that I'm biased or anything! :} I am really loving every minute of it. I'm still in a bit of pain from the c-section, but I don't even care. She's so worth it. I'm glad you like her name... we get so many compliments on it. I can't wait to hear about your birth when it happens! Just a few months away, right? Are you feeling ready? Let me know if you have any words of wisdom for a 1st time mom! :}

StillinHisCare - Thursday, 5 June

GinaMummy - Wednesday, 28 May
I just love the name you have chosen. Cant believe how close we are getting now, very exciting!
I have a 4d scan on Monday next week, so hopefully they will be able to confirm Im still having a girl, then I can go out and buy the pink moses basket I have my eye one!!! lol
We are sticking with Izzie for a girl and either Jack or Finnlay for a boy, if for some reason the first sonographer got the sex wrong, but I doubt it because he seemed sure. I hope it is a girl, because I have bought pink pink pink!!! lol

Glad to hear your well, take good care and speak soon

Hey there, great to hear from you! Statistics class, huh? Yikes! I can see where that'd take a lot of your time & energy... I'm soooo bad w/ that type of thing!
Yeah, can you believe the countdown is on? I actually will probably have a c-section next Friday! I can't believe this whole journey is almost over. My sweet baby is measuring really large, and my dr is concerned about me trying to deliver vaginally. S/he was already 8.3 lbs as of last Thurs, when I was just 37 wks. My dr predicts over 1O lbs if I went to 4O wks. The concern isn't so much the size, as much as the belly is measuring 3 wks ahead of everything else, which usually also means huge shoulders. So... I'm not overly excited about surgery, but I'd rather take the pain & discomfort than risk having something happen to my baby during delivery.
How are you doing otherwise? I can't believe you're already 26 wks! That was such a fun point in pregnancy for me... feeling great, showing but not humongous, etc. I hope you're doing great & I'll be in touch!
